Day 1

It is a slow day at work.

It is strange, how humans separate their lives into day and night, stretching out to weeks...months...years. We never compartmentalize our lives like that, but since we are here, on Earth, we will follow the ways of the humans. How do they say it?

Ah yes. I believe they say, when in Rome, do as the Romans do.

You see, I am a Visitor. I do not belong here on Earth, but I am here because the Queen of my species, Anna, chooses it to be. She sees me as nothing but a humble servant, as she sees everyone else. We disguise ourselves in human form and come in pretense of peace and cordiality, but nothing can be further from the truth.

Anna has dark and macabre plans for humanity, and she will see that nothing gets in her way. Many of our kind have pledged their loyalty to her. No surprise there. After all, they do not understand human emotion. When they do, there is no way in hell that they will continue with Anna's wishes.

When they experience emotions that course through their bodies, emotions that can be like excruciating pain, and yet, can be like a breath of fresh air. Emotion is an exhilarating freedom. I think myself as fortunate to be able to grasp hold of such...amazement.

To be able to feel.

Very soon, more of our kind will open their eyes to the truth, renounce this momentary pleasure called the Bliss, which is nothing more than a facade to bind them to Anna, and then....then, we will truly be free.

I have to go. I think Jeremy wishes to teach me how to play Backgammon. It's some kind of board game that humans play, I think.

And before I go.
