"Amy we've been through this!" The Doctor snapped rather impatiently. "You are not turning to stone! Do you hear me Pond?" The Angel was once again closing in on them and Amy had inconveniently froze. She stood as still as a statue, her pale features wrought with fear.

"Amelia!" He tried shaking her, but the effect of the Angel on her psyche was so great that it physically held her still.

"Move!" River pushed the Doctor away and stood before Amy. She stared the fiery younger girl in the eye. "Amy, sweetheart, you're not made of stone. It's all in your mind. You have to move sweetie, or you're going to die. We are all going to die."

Amy stared blankly back at her. Her gaze devoid of any sign that she had heard River's words. Her mind seemed to have shut down along with her body.

"All right. Last chance pond!" River stepped forward as the Doctor went to take his companion's hand. She pressed her lips firmly against the younger girl's. She bit down on Amy's lower lip, hard enough to draw blood.

Amy pulled back, her hand jerked away from the Doctor as it shot up to her bleeding lip. River grinned, her gaze lively and challenging as she offered Amy her hand.

"Coming Pond?"

"You kissed me!" Amy eyes were wide and her voice high. "And you bit me!"

"You're alive aren't you?" River challenged as her fingers locked around Amy's wrist. She began dragging the dazed girl towards the TARDIS.

"Yeah but...you kissed me!"

River rolled her eyes as she pulled out her key and unlocked the TARDIS. "Listen sweetie, we can cuddle or whatever later, right now we've got an army of Angels to defeat...isn't that right Doctor?" The Doctor had not moved. He stood rooted to the spot, his mouth hanging open.

"What? Yes? Right...oh bugger!" The Angel had appeared behind him as he'd been staring at the two women. He kept his gaze on the Angel as he walked backwards to the TARDIS.

River shoved a protesting Amy inside the TARDIS and re-locked the door. As the Doctor reached River he heard the redhead pounding on the door, demanding to be let out. "You know, if you do become my wife you'll really have to stop running around kissing pretty young girls..."

"Well then sweetie, it's a good job we're not married" She flashed the Doctor a cheeky wink. "Now, what do we do about this Angel then?"
