Perche Me?
Chapter Three
Jane felt her eyebrow twitch.
"I'm sorry, can you repeat that?"
Mystique gulped slightly at what seemed to be a deathly aura the other woman gave off. It seemed as if the vampire was not impressed with news that the blue skinned woman had just give her.
"Magneto said he would like you to join the rest of the Brotherhood and go to Bayville High School. He and your boss, Aro, both agree that it would benefit you so you can assert your authority over the others. And so the X-Men can catch a glimpse of our new member."
Jane had to admit, Mystique was courageous to continue talking to an annoyed, borderline furious vampire. This wasn't acceptable. Jane was thousands of years old. She had seen things that these mortals wouldn't even dream of seeing. She knew things about the past and historical figures that would make people faint in shock.
And these idiots were expecting her, of all people, to go to High School?
This was unacceptable. But, could Jane ever go against Aro? Aro was the one who had turned her. He was her sire. How could a vampire go against her sire, especially a sire as powerful as one of the Volturi.
Jane gritted her teeth.
"I don't think this is a very good idea. I am a blood sucking immortal who, for a lack of a better word, sparkles in the sunlight. Do you think it is a good idea for me to go, Raven?"
Mystique flinched at the use of her real name, and shook her head no to agree with the furious vampiress.
"N-no, Jane, I don't. But your superiours do, and I won't be the one to argue with three of the most powerful vampires to ever walk the Earth."
Jane muttered under her breath, once again uttering the words...
"Perche me?"
Hey! I know it's short but I had to add something otherwise I would just depress myself. Hope you like!
Perche me- why me
