The Magykal Kiss

Beetle was waiting patiently for someone, anyone, to come in his booth. He needed at least one customer to prove Jillie Dijinn that he was capable of doing anything. He was in charge of the "Magykal Kiss", better known as the Kissing Booth. It was a beautiful day, sun was shining, birds were singing and he was stuck in a booth, a plain, stupid booth. He was about to take his break when he heard someone outside.

"Sep! What are you doing?" said a girl, whose voice was familiar to Beetle "Ouch! You're pushing me! Get off! Ouch!" Then suddenly, Jenna was inside the booth, looking at Beetle, surprised.

"Jenna?" Beetle asked, "What are you doing here?" Then Beetle, realized something, once you come into the Magykal Kiss, you can't go out until you kiss the one in charge of the booth. He has to kiss Princess Jenna.

"Beetle?" Jenna said surprised, "You're the one in charge of this booth?" Jenna was sort of blushing, trying to not make it obvious.

"Yeah- you see, I need to get my job back at the Manuscriptorium. I need to prove to Jillie Dijinn, that I'm better than Merrin at the job. Problem is that everyone is going to Merrin's booth and not mine."

"Oh." Jenna said quietly, "So, I'll be going-" before she could continue a loud voice came out.

"Good Morning Princess. You have one minute with Beetle. Please use it well."

"Beetle, what does it mean by that?"

"Well, you see... how can I put it? Er--- Once you have entered the "Magykal Kiss", you can't come out unless..." Beetle hesitated and squirmed a bit.

"Unless what?" Jenna said shyly, she was worried about what he would say next.

"unless-you-and-me-kiss." He said it so fast, hoping that Jenna won't catch what he said. There was an awkward silence after that he looked at her and she looked at him.

"Okay... so, I guess we have to, so I can go out. I have "princess lessons", as Sep would call them, so we have to do it now or never."

Beetle stood up and went near to Jenna, he looked at her and said, "You don't need to do this... You could just try to sneak out."

"No... It's also for you. At least now you can tell Jillie Dijinn that you had a customer." She smiled shyly.

Beetle nodded and Jenna smiled shyly, "So, let's go." She said to him.

"Yeah..."

Beetle and Jenna moved forward, and when their lips pressed they remembered everything that they had been through together.

They remembered the time when they first met. When Beetle gave Jenna the supposed toffee can. When Beetle found Nicko's pin in the Ice Tunnels and returned it to Jenna. Their walks in the Island of Syren, and the time when Beetle gave his admiral jacket to Jenna. It was all about them. Nothing else mattered. This kiss was something else.... it was Magykal....

Suddenly the booming voice came out, that ruined the moment.

"Time's up, Princess. We hope you enjoyed your time in the "Magykal Kiss"."

Suddenly they, pulled away, both looking at each other, surprised at what happened. Suddenly Jenna broke the silence.

"I did enjoy." Smiled and ran out of the tent. Beetle sat inside the tent looking at nothing and said...

"It was worth it."

No one came inside the tent for the rest of the day, and Beetle knew that the reward of staying inside the booth during a beautiful day wasn't getting back his job in the Manuscriptorium... it was Princes Jenna.
