Shed Tears
Disclaimer: Don't own NCIS. Unfortunately.

Reviews would be appreciated. I got this idea from the song "Down to Earth" by Justin Bieber

Waking up today Tony walked towards the window to see the sun reach towards the horizon. Grey clouds swarmed the sky. There wasn't a hint of joy flowing in the air. Rather a dark element eating up the day before it began. Today's looking horrible, he thought. Today will be horrible, he corrected. Today is horrible, he admitted. A lone tear crawls down his face, and as quickly as it appeared it was gone.

He dragged himself reluctantly to his bathroom, staring into the mirror – his eyes were red and a faint black circle had etched itself onto his face. He smiled at the thought of when she had played a prank on him back in the day, the black marker circling his eyes from the binoculars; oh how he had so much fun trying to get back at her. His smile faded as he remembered what today was; cleaning himself up he halfheartedly made his way to his wardrobe where he picked up his tuxedo. He slipped it on, remembering how she would lend him a hand with his tie. Another tear gives way and it slips ever so slowly down his face, but this time he doesn't even bother to wipe it away.

Arriving at the bullpen, he was surprised by Abby who ran up to him to give him the softest hug ever. It wasn't normal for Abby to do so. But it wasn't a normal day either. As another tear slips, he catches a glimpse of Gibbs in the background, his steely mask still in place; bastard. Fury raged through Tony as he dislodges himself from Abby and walks towards Gibbs. A glare at his boss would've said enough, but he stormed at Gibbs, leaving him inches away. With three words, it's your fault - the steely mask broke and pain and regret plastered onto his face. Tony retreated, heading towards the head. Memories flushed back into his head, she'd walk in not caring that the signed said "men". Apologies; No, it is I who am sorry. Confrontations. Confessions; what matters is that you had my back, that you always had my back. Where was he when she needed him!

Standing in a place all too familiar, but yet he was still not used to it. No one gets use to it. Jenny. Kate. Tony had arrived early; he needed to have time with his dearly departed. He read the words to himself, Ziva David – A wife and protector of this country. A tear sneaks past the barriers, and this time more followed. DiNozzo men don't cry, but he would cry for her anytime. Tears shed for her, memories of pain;

"You saw a glass table, you pushed him back, you dropped him on it, he was impaled in the side by a shard of glass, bloody, gasping for air."
"I guess you read my report."
" I memorized it! You could've left it there you could've walked away, but no! You led him up, you put four in his chest!"
" You weren't there."
" You could've put one in his leg."
"You. Weren't. There."
"But I should've been!"

Memories of pranks;

"Uhh… Ziva? I was Tony put something under your car"
"What?... When?"
"What, I don't know; When, this morning"
"See I told you!"

Memories of Love;

"I…loo…vv…e…,"I gasped, as I slip into unconsciousness; after taking two bullets to the chest.
"Whhat? TONY STAY WITH ME!!" she commanded, tears slipping down her face.

There were too many memories, too many tears; but it was all worth it. The sound of people approaching shook him back to reality.

"I love you. I'm sorry," that was all he managed to get out before the dams broke and streams of tears rushed down his face. Dropping the single red rose onto the marble stone. With that he walked towards the hills, glancing back, he gave his lover one thing she would've wanted. A smile.
