Authors note… I wrote this like 3 weeks ago in my journal after I saw the first promo for Glee which is where the beginning comes from. now that the session has continued it is kind of unrelated but I like it so i am going to put it up any way!

"I feel like Lady Gaga!" Kurt beamed as he, Rachel, and Mercedes walked down the halls of McKinley High school. "We are going to rule this school!" Rachel announced proudly. Maybe not. As soon as she finished her sentence a jerk from the basket ball team came around a corner and nailed her, Mercedes, and Kurt with a blue berry slushy. Kurt whipped corn syrup from his eye and wined "And I just had a facial!"
Later that day in the choir room…
"this is CRAZY!" Finn started. "Lets face it we could win ever competition ever and they would still treat us like Geeks." Artie complained.
"You guys, we have to keep our heads up! We aren't 'geeks' we are gLeeks!" Rachel said in a too cheery tone which was only sad evidence of her failing attempt of lifting the sprits of her other 11 team mates. "We are some the few, the proud…" Rachel was cut off but Puck. "Hey Barbra Streisand, we aren't the marines! We are just a bunch do singing losers who can't go a day without getting slushy in the noes!"
"Puck is right," Tina agreed, "we are just a bunch of out casts.
Outside the choir room Mr. Schuester was listening in on the glee clubs conversation. He quickly made his way to the library to get some sheet music. he had the perfect song in mind.
The next day at morning rehearsal, Will handed out he sheet music. "Kurt, you are going to take the solo." Kurt beamed and Rachel went green eyed. "Mr. shue, this song is traditionally sung by a girl, maybe its best to give the solo to one." Rachel suggested. Will sighed and leaned against the piano. "Rachel haven't we gone through this enough. Kurt is doing the solo. Looks like this time you just wont be in the spot light. Are you ready Kurt?"
"Quite." Kurt stood up, straightened his navy blue sweater, and stood up straight. The soft music began and soon after Kurt's soft voice started.
I don't know if you can hear me, or if you're even there.
I don't know if you will listen to a humble prayer.
They tell me I am just an outcast, I shouldn't speak to you...
Still I see your face, and wonder, were you once an outcast too?
God help the outcasts, hungry from birth.
Show them the mercy they don't find on Earth.
The lost and forgotten, they look to you still.
God help the outcasts, or nobody will.
I ask for nothing, I can get by.
But I know so many less lucky than I.
God help the outcasts, the poor and downtrod.
I thought we all were the children of God.
I don't know if there's a reason;
why some are blessed, some not.
Why the few you seem to favor --
they fear us, flee us, try not to see us.
God help the outcasts, the tattered, the torn.
Seeking an answer to why they were born.
Winds of misfortune have blown them about.
You made the outcasts, don't cast them out.
The poor and unlucky, the weak and the odd.
I thought we all were the children of God.
when kurt finished the room was flooded with applause. Kurt smiled bashfully and bowed with all the grace he could muster. "I was wrong, Kurt." Rachel admitted. "That was the most beautiful version of that song I have ever heard. But to be clear I still have the Defying Gravity solo."
"Fine, if you want to be the Wicked Witch of the West, be my guest." Kurt Smiled smugly and triumphantly.
