This is my first real fanfiction. So this is after Genius Wars. So spoilers. I hope you've read it because otherwise. . .I count your skills of deduction. Don't fail me now. . .
Anyway, this is kind of a prologue, if people like it then I'll write more. That's why its so short. Also AP exams are coming up. yay? So anyway, lots of studying. And I somehow got the crazy idea to take two as a freshman so yeah.

Cadel knew he should have expected this. After everything that happened that Prosper would just leave him alone, of course not. Still he had hoped and everyone had told him Prosper was dead. He didn't believe them; he couldn't believe them. He knew Prosper better than maybe anyone else and there was no way he would die that easily. Still everyone had told him that he was dead and he just wanted to move on. He wanted to spend time with Sonja and his parents(He didn't get tired of calling them that.). He didn't want to look around every corner. He still flinched every time he saw a CCTV camera. He knew Saul noticed it, his subconscious reacting in fear. Saul and Fiona both tried, he knew that. Saul procured with some difficulty the newest and best computer. Fiona redesigned the house to be safe for Sonja. So Cadel tried too. He didn't mention or try to disable the monitoring device placed on his computer and he tried, every time Sonja came over, not to remember how much danger she had been in and how all of it was his fault. He could try, that was all.

Even the computer didn't help, every time he got on, he would remember what he could do, what he had done. While before the internet had seem open to possibilities(not all of them legal), now it was a cage, he was trapped not only by the monitoring device, but also by morals he had lacked growing up.

He thought they all notices, that he just couldn't act normal. They all thought Prosper was dead, but he wasn't, Cadel knew that. They just thought his troubled past wouldn't let him believe it. They didn't know, he knew it. Just as he knew that his family loved him and wanted him to be happy, he knew Prosper would never leave him alone.

If you have ideas, tell me. I want to see the reception so please review if you read it. . .even if its only three words. If those words happen to be either "I hate you" or "You are the coolest." That'll make me happy. It'll let me know that I incited some emotional response.
