"Come on Lily! It had to have been me, I kissed you third year, and you didn't even start going out with anyone till fifth year." James said adamantly as he flung himself down into a chair in the Gryffindor common room next to two of his best friends.

"I'm sorry James, but you're not my first kiss." Lily said exasperatedly as she too flung herself into a chair.

"What's this all about?" Remus asked irritably as he tried to find his place in the book he had been reading.

"Lily says I wasn't her first kiss, but I don't see how I'm not," James explained. "She wasn't even interested in guys in third year."

"Ah, Prongs," Sirius said slyly. "She may not have been interested, but plenty of guys where."

Lily glared at Sirius who quickly shut his mouth.

"Well who was it then?" James demanded.

"Um..." Lily stalled, glancing nervously at Sirius.

James rounded on him. "You know." He accused.

Sirius chuckled, "Sorry Prongs, I don't know anything."

James glared at him.

Lily sighed. "Why is it so important?"

James shrugged. "I just wanna know."

"Well..." Lily said slowly exchanging a questioning glance with Sirius.

"Wait, what?" James asked looking between the two of them. "No way, Padfoot?"

Lily blushed. "It was Christmas and he cornered me under the mistletoe and-"

"Sirius!" James said accusingly.

"Sorry mate," Sirius said sheepishly. "But you weren't interested in her yet, and I wanted to tell you, but Lily swore she'd curse me to bits if I ever told anyone, including you, and you've seen her hexes."

James thought about it for a minute.

"Well, I guess that's okay then." He decided.

Lily sighed with relief, but Sirius grinned. "Knew you'd understand." He said happily.

"But I was your second kiss, right?" James asked.

"Uh... Not exactly." Lily said slowly.

"What?" James asked as Sirius burst into a fit laughter.

For some reason Remus turned bright red and became very preoccupied with the book he was reading.
