Hundreds, maybe thousands have shed tears because of him. He's butchered and killed so many, that seeing the terror and fear and tears on their faces right before his sword drives home was common for him.
But seeing her tears? Seeing her fear? That was different.
He'd never seen fear for him, he'd never seen tears for him.
He wants her, he's always wanted her, but right then, when a tear streamed from her face. He needed to have her.
"You said love drains a man."
"It can give him hopeā¦in the right arms."
He feels every inch of her, tastes her every breath, and with each thrust and stroke he wants her more.
When they pull apart and the guard shows up, he looks down at her.
She smiles, tears still faint in her eyes.
