Word Count: 100 words. Because I can.
Players: Go to Enkidu07's page, and you'll find all the usual suspects. Resistance is futile – you will be drabbleized. We're like the Borg, only cuter.
Spoiler Alert: Season Five, set right after "Dark Side Of The Moon"
They're driving in silence, both trying to forget, both knowing they can't.
"I finally get it," Sam murmurs.
"What's that?" Dean asks, eyes never leaving the road.
"Why you used to cut the crusts off our sandwiches. I never knew why you did that. You were copying Mom. Trying to remember her by doing something she used to –"
"Sam… don't. Not right now… please?" There's so much in that phrase: remembrance, loss, sorrow, pain.
Silence fills the car like a third passenger.
"Thanks, Dean."
"For what?"
"For trying to keep her alive for us."
More silence.
"You're welcome, Sam."
