Summary: Silver is all alone in the pokécenter. Or so he thinks. Who's singing? Could be taken as SilverxOc or Soulsilvershipping. Silver is probably OOC. Sorry I don't really know his character all that well. (mindless songfic-like-thingy)

Silver growled as he walked towards the pokécenter. He weak pokémon had just lost a big battle. He entered the building and sighed when he was out of the rain. He walked over to the counter and groaned when he saw a small sign that said 'in surgery'. Silver sighed and went down the hallway towards the operating room. He stopped when he heard a soft voice singing sadly.
"You are my sunshine
My only sunshine" he realized it was a girl and looked around the corner. He spotted a small girl hugging her knees on a bench outside of the operating room. He recognized her as his number one rival although he would never tell her that to her face. She was wearing her usual outfit of a red long sleeve shirt and overall shorts. She didn't notice him leaning against the wall and continued to sing.
"You make me happy
When skies are grey." He watched her and started when he spotted the tears running down her cheeks. He pushed off of the wall and sat beside her. She started and looked up at him. Silver didn't look at her, choosing to stare at the opposite wall instead. She blinked in surprise then looked back down at her knees.
"You'll never know, dear
How much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away." The tears came faster down her face. Silver sighed and reached into his pocket. He pulled out a handkerchief and held it out to her. She looked at it for a moment before she took it and wiped her eyes.
"The other nite, dear
As I lay sleeping
I dreamed I held you in my arms.
When I awoke, dear
I was mistaken
And I hung my head and cried." Silver looked at her finally and hesitantly wrapped his arm around her shoulders. She leaned into him and buried her head in his shoulder.
"You are my sunshine
My only sunshine
You make me happy
When skies are grey
You'll never know, dear
How much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away." She finished in whisper and they both started when the operating room's door opened. Nurse Joy stepped out of the room with a relieved sigh and a smile.
"The operation was a success. Your Cyndaquil is fine and will be able to leave by Wednesday." She said.
"Thank god!" the girl sobbed and ran into the room. Silver followed her and Nurse Joy looked at him questioningly. He just shrugged and looked towards his rival and almost smiled at the scene in front of him. The girl was hugging her Cyndaquil tightly and it was nuzzling her shoulder. "Haru! I'm so glad Haru!"
"You're going to choke him." Silver pointed out and she squeaked and let go of the pokémon.
"Silver I meant to ask you, but why are you here?"
"This is a pokécenter. I came to heal my pokémon." Silver said with a shrug.
"Oh." She mumbled and picked up Haru.
"What was wrong with him anyway, Umeko?" Silver asked without knowing why he did. She looked up, surprised that he cared.
"Well, he was poisoned and I gave him an antidote, but some of it was left in his system. When he was really tired the poison took effect." Umeko explained.
"Hmm." He nodded and turned back to the door. "I have to go get my pokémon healed." He started off down the hallway.
"Hey Silver?" he heard her call and he looked back. "Thank you."
