Title: Meditate
Pairings: None
Summary: A series of thoughts from the Strawhat crew at some point during their journey (usually at the point of their joining).
Disclaimer: I don't own One Piece, though I sort of wish I did.
A/N: My first One Piece fic, so this was mainly written to attempt to get into their minds a bit.

He is alone right now, but that is okay. There is a whole world out there, and he knows that his first nakama isn't too far away.
She thinks it's ludicrous, these two boys, playing at pirates when neither of them can tell north from south. But when she says as much, they stare at her blankly – why do they need to know that when 'forward' is all the direction they need?
Once, he though the gods were testing him, giving him a captain with a black hole for a stomach. After watching him consume an entire plate of over spiced ashes masquerading as eggs, he decided god didn't exist, and someone was laughing at his expense.
A stray thought crossed his mind once that his crewmates were medical miracles – and if any of them were the poetic sort, they could probably compose a sonnet on the field of flowers before death.
Since joining the crew, there hadn't been a single word of disgust thrown in her face – in fact, there was a constant stream of adorations showered on her, as if to make up for all the lost love.
They allowed him to wear his pants – just his pants – and didn't say a single word. That was enough for him. Oh, and letting him see his dream through of course.
He was truly grateful they had invited him to their crew, but terribly dejected that the only panties he ever got to see (although he had no eyes – skull joke!) were the shipwright's.
The smiles and laughter of his nakama filled him with joy – but none had filled him with more joy and pride than when his namesake had first shown him to his new nakama.
He was glad they had settled on the name the friend of his creator had suggested. He did not mind 'Battle Franky, Lion Gang Champion', but he was certain only his captain would have liked 'Dumpling Gorilla Lion', and felt almost obliged to point out that no pirate ship was ever called 'Monsieur' anything, and he would not be the first.
Sometimes she would look up at the sky and pretend she was still on their ship. Then she would look down and laugh with unrestrained joy at her beautiful country they had saved.
A/N: It just didn't feel right to leave Vivi out of it. :D And well, Merry and Sunny are a part of the crew too, right? Comments, suggestions, criticism much appreciated. :D
