HELLLLLOOOOOOOOOO there everyone. Well here it is, the newest chapter for you all after all these years and I can only hope that it lives up to the previous chapters though my writing style may have changed and I have lost a few ideas because I didn't write them down (twit). But I do hope you all enjoy and are happy with how it's all going. Please do let me know what you think and maybe some ideas of what you think could happen in the story.

Chapter 17

Harry chewed on the end of his pencil as he looked down at the paper in front of him, it was his Bio-Chemistry paper and he had no idea of what to do on it or where he could go with it. He sighed and threw down his pencil and ran a hand through his hair.

"Having some trouble there Harry?"

Harry spun in his chair to the open window to see Emmett poking his head through the frame work, "Geeze, can't you use the door?" He questioned, a little frustrated.

Emmett blinked, "Ah, sorry about that. I can go if you want."

Harry shook his head, "Nah, it's okay, I'm just having some trouble with my Bio-Chem paper." He explained turning back to his desk.

Emmett climbed in through the window and settled down next to Harry and pulled the paper with the requirements for the paper on it and gave them a read over and reached for Harry's pencil and started to scribble down on the paper the entire essay needed for the class.

"Hey you can't do that." Harry grumbled as he tried to take the rapidly moving pencil from the vampire.

"Already did." Emmett responded with a cheeky smile as he put the pencil down seconds later.

Harry pouted, "I won't use it."

Emmett shrugged, "You don't have to use it. I just gave you what you needed to be able to write your paper." He explained shoving the paper under Harry's nose so that he could give it a look through.

Once he finished reading he looked over at Emmett with a bright smile and gave him a small peck on the cheek in thanks, blushing at the action, "So why did you come over anyway?" He asked.

Emmett rested his chin on the desk and looked at Harry out the corner of his eyes and shrugged, "Didn't have anything else to do so I decided to come and see what you were doing." He explained, "Do you wanna maybe go out on a date?"

Harry's blush came a little bit redder and he looked shyly at Emmett, "I could do with a break before I continue on with my work."

"Great let's head out to Port Angeles." He said jumping up and flew out the window, "I'll wait outside." He said before he disappeared.

Harry gave a little laugh and pulled on his jacket and headed down stairs, "I'm heading out daddy, my head's about to spin from all that work." He said as he breezed by.

"Alright kiddo be careful and make sure that you have your mace on you." Charlie managed to call before Harry disappeared outside. Charlie shook his head and went back to his 'day-off work' beer.

Harry looked up at the giant truck that was sitting in the driveway, his jaw dropping in awe at the sheer size of it, "This is your car?" He squeaked and Emmett man-handled him into the car and strapped him in the harness so that he was secure.

"This is my baby." He said patting the steering wheel and they were off down the road and heading out of Forks for Port Angeles.

"So what do you have in mind for what us to do today?" Harry asked.

"I don't know, just thought that we'd walk around and maybe catch a movie or something." Emmett responded not really knowing what to do on this 'date' that they were on.

"Haven't you ever been on a date before?" Harry questioned with a raised brow.

If he could have, Emmett would have blushed, "Rosalie usually just told me where we were heading." He admitted.

"So despite all of the bulging muscles you're really a pussy." Harry said brightly and looked out the window with a giant smile on his face.

Emmett spluttered, "I am not a pussy."

"Are too."

"Am not, I just preferred to see Rosalie happy and that was how it went." He explained, "But that doesn't mean that I'll let you run the show now."

Harry looked over at the larger man, "We'll see." He hummed and they pulled into the town of Port Angeles, "So where to first?"

Emmett didn't answer for a moment, his hearing had picked something up and a large goofy smile crossed his face, "We'll be going a bit further out of town." He responded and continued through Port Angeles and out of town.

"Where are we going?" Harry whined.

"You'll see in a minute." Emmett chuckled.

Emmett's minute was about 15 to Harry, so he sat there glaring at the large vampire, unimpressed about how long it was taking them to get to where ever it was that they were going. He was about to open his mouth to complain once again when his jaw dropped as a large carnival came into view.

"Oh wow." He whispered in awe.

Emmett smiled, "I knew you'd like it." He said and went over to the parking attendant to have his car parked, paid for it and then led Harry toward the entrance where he paid for the entry fee and a big ole roll of tickets to get on the rides and play the games, "So what do you want to do first?" He asked as they stopped in the centre of it all and had a 360 look around.

"The Ferris wheel." Harry said and tugged on Emmett's arm to get him moving.

"But I thought we could go on that later, as the sun was setting." Emmett grumbled.

Harry rolled his eyes, "We can go on it again later, but this way we can have a good look at the whole carnival and choose where we want to head." He explained.

Emmett gave a soft 'oh' and handed the required tickets to the attendant and they climbed in one of the hangers and it was moved around for the others that wanted to go around, once it got to capacity the wheel went around and Emmett and Harry got a look at the fair grounds with Harry pointing out what he wanted to go on next to an amused Emmett.

"Didn't the chief ever bring you and Bella to one of these?" Emmett questioned Harry.

Harry nodded, "Yeah he did, but we were really young and I was still so scared about everything that I didn't have a very good time of it." He explained, "And we haven't been to one since."

"Well then I guess that this is officially our first date." Emmett said softly and looked over at Harry with a small smile.

Harry smiled back and took the others larger and colder hand in his, "I like the sound of that."

Bella hummed happily as she lay with her head down on Edward's chest as he read Homer to her, having nothing else to do and not wanting to go anywhere this is what they decided to do with their time together. Bella loved hearing the sound of Edward's voice as he read to her, his voice was hypnotic and always lolled her to sleep when he crept in to her room.

"Are you falling asleep?" Edward questioned with a teasing tilt to his voice, "I am I really that boring?"

Bella laughed softly and pushed herself up off of Edward's chest to look up at him, "Not at all, I think that your voice is beautiful and sends me to sleep peacefully. I never have nightmares when you are with me and talking me to sleep." She explained and rested her head back down on his chest.

Edward brushed his fingers through her hair, "Is there anything else you would like to do today? We do have all day." He commented. "There is a carnival just outside of Port Angeles if you would like to go." Edward offered.

Bella hummed, "That sounds like a good idea. I haven't been to one in a while." She explained.

"Why's that?" Edward asked.

"Mum and dad took Harry and I to one when we were younger, but Harry was still so afraid of a lot of things the entire event didn't go over well." She told him, "We had to leave as soon as we got there because of the noise and crowds."

Edward scowled, he couldn't believe what her brother had put her through, though indirectly and it took a lot of fun out of Bella's childhood, "Well then, let's go." He said jumping up from the bed and held his hand out to her and they walked out of his room and down to the garage.

30 minutes later had them pulling into the car park and paid the fare and headed with Bella into the carnival, "Hey isn't that Emmett's jeep?" She questioned as they went pass.

Edward looked over at the jeep and extended his senses to see if he could find his brothers thought pattern and caught it yelling as he spun around on the tea cups, "Yeah, that's Emmett's, he's here with Harry. Their official first date." He explained.

Bella frowned in confusion, "Harry's supposed to be studying."

"Perhaps he needed a break." Edward offered.

"Most likely, he is taking some really intense subjects." Bella explained.

"Does he know what he is going to do once he finishes collage?"

Bella shook her head, "No, I don't even think that Harry knows what he's going to do. And since he is going to be turned after he finishes I don't know what he could do."

Edward growled a little at the thought of turning Bella so soon, "I wish that it didn't have to be so, but it really was the only way to get out of there alive." He admitted. He didn't think that he and Harry would get along very often.

"Well we'll just have to avoid them the best we can and leave them to their date and us to ours." Bella said matter-of-factly and proceeded inside when Edward paid for what was needed.

"If you think we can do that." Edward responded.

"It's a big fair ground Edward, I think that we can avoid them well enough and with you reading Emmett's mind every now and then that will tell us where they are heading."

Edward sighed and wrapped an arm around her shoulder, "You're right, where to first."

"The Ferris wheel, we'll be able to see the whole park from there and decide where to go." Bella explained and headed off to the Ferris wheel.

"That's where Emmett and Harry started." Edward responded.

"Well it's a good idea." Bella said.
_

"Edward's here." Emmett commented as they climbed off of the tea cups, Emmett holding up the smaller teen as he got his land legs back.

"That's nice." Harry hummed, "Now where to? It's your choice this time."

"How about an arcade game? I'll win you a teddy bear."

Harry laughed, "You'll win out the entire arcade with your enhanced aim."

Emmett smiled smugly and wrapped an arm around Harry and pulled him in close, "Damn straight." He said as he led Harry over to the shooting gallery.

Handing over the tickets, Emmett picked up one of the guns and shot down the 5 targets swiftly, kind of shocked and disgruntled, the carnie asked him what teddy he would like, Emmett pointed out the rather large panda and looked at Harry, "You want a go?"

Harry shrugged, "Sure I'll give it a go." He said and Emmett handed over more tickets and Harry picked up the gun and started shooting and got 4 out of the 5 targets and could see Emmett looking at him in surprise. Harry shrugged, "Daddy taught me how to shoot one summer and then when Rene found out I wasn't allowed to see daddy anymore." He explained.

Emmett laughed a great booming laugh startling the attendant, "What else do you have that Chief Swan taught you?" He questioned.

Harry took his medium sized prize of Matryoshka dollies, "That's for me to know and you to keep wondering about." He said and walked off for the next amusement.
_

"Did you know that your dad taught Harry how to shoot?" Edward questioned Bella, his brother's thoughts were broadcasting that little bit of information very loudly.

"Yes, he was going to teach me as well but mum went nuts at him about taking Harry out. Being so close to woods and woodland animals, where some were carnivorous, it was a good idea for us to know how to shoot a bear or a lion or something." Bella explained with a devil may care shrug.

Edward blanched at the thought of his sweet little Bella handing something as dangerous as a gun, "I'm glad that you were never taught." He responded.

Bella giggled, "I never said that he didn't teach me."

"What?" Edward choked out.

Bella sighed and turned on Edward, "Look Edward, it was something that dad felt that he needed to teach me if I was living here. You do have to admit that animals can get pretty vicious during the winter months if they don't hibernate or migrate."

Edward sighed, "I guess you're right."

"Of course I am. So where are we heading now?" She asked.

"We'll head for the bumper cars." He said taking her hand in his and headed off toward the bumper cars.

"I'll be driving." Bella told him.

"And if they're singles?"

"Then you better use human abilities." Bella responded and handed over the tickets needed for the pair of them and climbed in to a red car while Edward jumped in a yellow one.

"You ready for this?" Edward teased.

"You bet I am." Bella responded with a cheeky smile as the electricity went to the cars and everyone was off.

Alice danced into her bedroom and plonked down next to her mate and laid her head on his shoulder and looked at the book that was in his hands, "Another civil war history book." She moaned.

"It is interesting to see what they get right." Jasper responded as he flicked another page.

Alice huffed, "What ever."

Jasper closed his book, a finger between the pages to keep him place, "What is wrong my heart?" He questioned feeling the emotions coming off of his wife.

"Nothing, something, everything." Alice responded with a sigh, "I'm not getting anything solid, everything keeps changing with everyone."

"Want to tell me about it?" He asked giving her his undivided attention.

"Well first off it's Rosalie, she keeps changing her mind about what she's going to do about Marcus. Felix is being really frustrating since Harry hasn't told him he could move or speak so he's thinking so many other things about what to do to Harry it's really jumpy. The only good thing that has come out of it all is that Emmett and Harry are making some moves." She explained.

"Really?"

"Yep, they're on a date right now at the carnival outside of Port Angeles." She explained.

"Same place that Edward and Bella just headed to." Jasper chuckled, "Can you see anything coming to terms with Harry and Edward?" He questioned knowing about the slight animosity Edward held for Harry.

"It'll be very slowly coming and how it comes about is clouded cause it hasn't been decided or anything like that yet." Alice responded.

Jasper wrapped an arm around Alice's shoulders, "Everything will be fine then." He told her giving her a kiss on the cheek.

Alice gave a firm nod, "You're right, everything will be fine."

Rain splattered down on the young man as he walked out of a diner, the rain so heavy that it plastered his hair within seconds of walking into it. Pulling his jacket closer to his neck and pulling his bag on his shoulder firmly he headed off down the street toward a bar where he was going to meet some friends.

A sudden movement caused him to fall to the ground, his bag slipping off of his shoulder, he looked around himself with frightened eyes, "Who's there?" He cried out standing up but another hit took him to the ground, getting up faster this time he ran in the direction of the bar, few feet away he was knocked down again and was herded in another direction. Stumbling he ran toward the shipping yard, he came to an abrupt stop at the edge of the dock, swinging his arms around so that he wouldn't fall. He backed up a bit and turned around, "What do you want from me?" He yelled and seconds later he was grabbing his hand and crying out in excruciating pain.

Marcus stopped at the door to Carlisle's study and did the courtesy of knocking before entering to see Carlisle sitting at his desk looking through a well read and yellowed leather bound book, "Marcus, please sit." Carlisle offered waving a hand at the free chair across from him, "How have your first few days here been?" He questioned.

"Things have been going well. Though I must ask you if you could get a hold of little Harry, Felix still can't move or speak and he must feed." Marcus asked of him.

Carlisle looked at him in shock, "I am sorry Marcus, I must admit that with being so busy at the hospital I haven't really taken notice of Felix being a permanent fixture in the lounge room." He admitted, "I will contact Emmett and ask him if he would bring Harry here after they have concluded their date." He said and reached for his phone and swiftly sent a message to Emmett and in seconds received a reply, "He will bring Harry here to lift his order on Felix."

Marcus gave a very human sigh of relief, "That is wonderful."

"I'm sorry that I didn't think about it earlier, or that one of my children didn't mention it." Carlisle responded.

Marcus waved off the apology, "Don't worry about it, as long as all is taken care of once Harry returns."

"We could give him a little animal blood until Harry get's here and releases him. It probably won't be very tasty for him but at least it's something and he won't go completely into blood lust." Carlisle offered.

Marcus inclined his head, "That will be acceptable for now until Felix can hunt. Though he won't like it." He said and stood from his chair, Carlisle following his lead.

"I believe that we still have some fresh in the fridge for when I go into one of my study moods." Carlisle chuckled and led the way to the kitchen and grabbed a cup and a straw from the cupboard and headed to the lounge where Marcus was explaining to Felix what was going on, with a fierce glare toward the animal blood but rolled his eyes in accent and Carlisle slipped the straw through closed lips and the frozen vampire drank it down within seconds.

"Would you like a little more?" Carlisle questioned, "Roll your eyes to the left if that is a yes." He instructed since that was the only movement the other could make, eyes rolled to the left and Carlisle disappeared back to the kitchen and swiftly reappeared with a slightly larger glass, "I know that you may not like it, but since you have been stuck here for a couple of days it will do until Harry comes home with Emmett." Carlisle explained, "I am sorry that we didn't notice earlier."

"He's still sitting there?" Demetri questioned coming in to the room from his hunting, "He will starve and go into blood lust if it is left much longer."

"We know Demetri; we have just given Felix some animal blood to tide him over until we can get Harry here." Marcus explained.

"The little one is going to be a pest." Demetri grumbled.

"That's only because he possibly has the power to tell you what to do, but it might have just been a fluke." Carlisle responded.

Demetri rolled his shoulders, "I somehow doubt it. There is something about these Swan's." He grumbled.

"All things will be revealed soon Demetri, have patience." Marcus responded.

Demetri was interrupted from a response when a knock sounded throughout the house, "Must be Eleazar and Carmen." Carlisle responded and drifted through to the front door.
