Karin: Okay, I was bored so I decided to write something. Although I have no idea what was going through my mind as I was writing this. Still, I suppose it could be considered one of those vague drabble things—I always wanted to try one of those. Hope you enjoy anyway.
Disclaimer: I don't own Matantei Loki Ragnarok.
Curiouser and Curiouser
He beckons her over and she diligently pours him tea. His movements aren't conspicuous yet she knows without seeing that he desires the warm liquid. She knows without an utter of sound. Perhaps it is because she is always silent and knows the unspoken language like a memorized song traced upon her heart? Or perhaps it is because this occurrence of his want for tea is not uncommon? It seemed like he always had a mini-tea party every day with how much he consumed the warm liquid.
Of course he was never alone. She joined him from his own invitation. She would carry the tray in and then go to do her work around his office. He would have none of that, of course. His smooth words inquired and beckoned—not obviously, but innocent as the child he masqueraded as—and she would slowly be pulled in over to where he was to listen.
Emerald eyes would watch her as her curious nature would pull her over to him. She was always curious, especially when it came to him or food. She never resisted when it was both at the same time—never complained to be pulled away from her work.
One would have to wonder if he was the Mad Hatter or the Cheshire Cat in these moments. He enjoyed his tea, especially with company, but he was sneaky. He often spoke in riddles that confused her and enticed her closer. Diamond eyes would brighten as he told her stories during their separation period before they reunited never noticing how much time would pass while she fed on the snacks and drunk the tea, being his willing and enraptured audience. The maid was oblivious to the sun descending from the sky or the sky coloring in beautiful hues of yellow and orange. She never noticed.
But she, she was Alice indeed. The curiousness of this new world she now resided in and her outlook on life made him certain of that—as well as when she had first approached him in that inquiring way of hers in the Realm of the Gods. She was a witness to the strange happenings in his life, yet she was not a resident of the conflict. A giantess in the war between gods. An Alice in the world of Wonderland.
And he was the White Rabbit who first lured dear Alice down the rabbit hole when he was in Asgard. He then became the Cheshire Cat who led her through her journey throughout his Wonderland—guiding her through every twist and turn she encountered when they were in their hidden affair and she was bearing his children.
Now, sitting at his desk in Midgard or the Realm of Humans, he was simply the Mad Hatter who desired the company of someone else for his tea party.
The company of his Alice, he concluded as he sipped his tea with a cloaked smirk, to this he was certain.
And he would have it again tomorrow.
Karin: Like I said, it's weird, but I had fun writing it. Maybe I'll actually get something worthwhile out another time, but for now hopefully that gave some satisfaction to the Loki/Spica hunger. Reviews are highly appreciated, thank you very much.
See ya Next time!
