By way of increasing magnitude of gravity (F), Kyoya (m1) feels a strong force of attraction to Haruhi (m2) as the distance between them (r) decreases.

With Haruhi's increasing popularity as a host, Kyoya calculates any "accidents" that would increase

her debt; thus prolonging her stay in the Host Club.

Ootori Kyoya disliked disorder - from his room, extending even to his mannerisms. Every word, tone, diction - mentally arranged, even before the conversation itself even occurred; but when they conversed, everything came out in wrong syntax. She laughed, thinking it was a joke. Their conversation seemed eons.

Oversleeping and being in a foul mood when woken up gave him the epithet "Low Blood Pressure Demon Lord." Being co-founder of the Host Club has earned him the moniker "Mother." He was the "Shadow King" due to his manipulative tendencies. His glasses caught light, creating an uncanny aura around him. This was how the world viewed an Ootori Kyoya.

Haruhi, on the other hand, saw that he was at peace, with himself and the world, when asleep - waking him would deny him of this; thus his "demonic temper" was to be expected. His manipulative ways express his desire to make this "family" last. The glint in his eyes did not hinder her view of the core of his being. This was how a Fujioka Haruhi viewed an Ootori Kyoya.

6. HOW SHADOWS ARE FORMED

"Shadows exist in the presence of light"

Haruhi is the light that made Kyoya the Shadow King.

Their personalities were as different as light and shadow; but when "crossed", they'd exist as one.

Kyoya was a "mother," turned admirer, now a lover.

Haruhi was a "daughter," turned naïveté, now a lover.

There was always something there. What started out as a friendly affection, turned into infatuation; now, something they hoped would last forever.
