Say goodbye,
As we dance with the devil tonight
Don't you dare look at him in the eye
As we dance with the devil tonight
Trembling, crawling across my skin
Feeling your cold, dead eyes
Stealing the life of mine
I believe in you
I can show you that I can see right through
All your empty lies, I won't last long
In this world so wrong

-Dance with the Devil - Breaking Benjanim

Lelouch would often call C.C., "witch"; a being that is said to have been cursed with the powers of the devil.

And anyone who was associated with having powers, especially back in the olden days, was to burn.

C.C. was one of the few young women who was burned as a witch -- although she knew that a lot of the young women burned at the time were wrongfully accused -- and occasionally she would feel the burning flame if she concentrated hard enough.

However, the burn marks miraculously healed, leaving no trace behind on her skin. In fact, the only scar that C.C. really had was an odd-shaped scar over her breast that the nun had placed on her shortly before bestowing her code on her .

C.C. would usually smirk bitterly at the use of the nickname; it wasn't like she really ever wanted to become a witch, or immortal in the first place.

She had only wanted to be loved, and the nun offered that deal to her. And like a naïve fool, she believed the snake and bit into the forbidden apple.

Yes, she had gotten her desire to feel love, although it wasn't long until she realized that the love she felt was fake. They never loved her nor did they really know her, including the nun who gave her both the power of her geass and her code.

However, it only took a few months after C.C. found Lelouch again for her to realize that him calling her "witch" was actually a combination of a compliment, and the promise that he made to her; something along the lines that if she was to be a witch, then he shall be her warlock.
So C.C. supposed that Lelouch was saying that she was his witch.

However, he rarely called her "witch" in front of the Black Knights, although she wasn't sure if it was because he didn't want them to suspect her of anything.

C.C. had also started to get into the habit of calling Lelouch "warlock," especially after they had become lovers. He never seemed to mind, and she guessed that like her, he knew the hidden meaning behind the word.

In reality, she was calling him her "warlock."

"I thought witches were supposed to be ugly, with green skin and covered in warts?" C.C. teased him. She flipped Lelouch over so she was on top of his half-naked form, obviously taking advantage of his physically weak body.

"Oh, and long, green hair isn't good enough for you?" Lelouch playfully teased, gently playing with a lock of lime-green hair and tugging at it; pulling her face down to press his lips against hers in a slightly bruising, but passionate kiss.

Every night, two people cursed with the power of the devil would dance in-between the sheets on the battlefield against the Britannian army when Lelouch was masquerading as Zero, the arch nemesis of the Britannian army. And in many cases he used the power of Geass to create his miracles; the power of a devil.

Long, green locks of hair cascading down C.C.'s face created a thin, green veil around Lelouch's face as she again pressed her lips against his.
In the end, they were devils......fallen angels, and the only solace they could find was in each other.
