Okay my readers, it's been a very long time and I had actually given up on this story as I was not sure I wanted to continue with it but because so many of you asked here is a new chapter. Hopefully it doesn't suck

As always I do not Own naruto nor do I own any of the Characters except for Tsuneo. He is mine and you can't have him.

Sasuke sat in his living room and watched as his nephew spoke quietly to Hinata, the boy would sneak looks at him before turning his full attention back to his girlfriend, his thoughts drifted to when ANBU had come into the office and taken custody of his brother. The boy had screamed and cried until Hinata had picked him up and cradled him close, telling him that it would be alright.

He had gone with them as they placed Chakra bands on his brother and then threw him into one of the cells where he would be held until the trial had decided his fate. His brother had not said another word but he sat outside the cell for over an hour just trying to wrap his head around what he had learned. By the time he returned home he found his nephew sitting on the couch looking stunned and Hinata in the kitchen making dinner.

He moved down the hall and opened a room, it had been Itachi's and while it was cleaned nothing had changed in this room since that night. He closed the door and went back to speak with his girlfriend. "All this time I've hated the wrong person and now I don't have it in me to hate the elders.. though I wish I could." he placed his head in his hands. "Sasuke, hate is always the wrong emotion, however I wouldn't trust the elders not to try something while everyone is away from Itachi. I see them much like my father, willing to do whatever it takes to get rid of a burden to the village."

His head snapped up and his Sharingan whirled in his blood red eyes, he stood and raced back to the jail, he had just been in time as well as Danzo was there as well as the elders planning on killing Itachi in his cell. He had protected his brother until others showed up, Naruto was the first with Sakura quickly following behind and with her was Tsunade.

Now, after Danzo had been dealt with Sasuke was sent home and told to wait for news on Itachi and so now here he was watching as his nephew curled up next to Hinata and closed his eyes. Hinata smiled and tucked him close pulling a blanket up over his body and smiling over at Sasuke. They sat in silence for about 45 minutes and then a knock came at the door.

He moved over and opened it to see his brother standing there between several ANBU guards and Tsunade. "After reviewing the files and knowing what Danzo wished to do tonight I have decided that the best place for him is right here, however ANUB guards will be stationed around the entire complex and you will give a list of people approved to enter and questions they will need to answer before being allowed." a shadow moved across her face but she quickly hid it. "He is in your charge now Sasuke, keep him safe." with that the bands were removed from him and he was released.

Sasuke thanked her and then stepped back motioning for Itachi to enter the house. "I will have the list for you in the morning." He turned and closed the door and stood looking at his brother, they stood nearly eye to eye now and he could see so much of his face in his brothers, they had both been hardened but they were both being given a second chance. "Welcome home, Brother."

Neji had been briefed about what had transpired while he had been away, he wasn't happy that his little cousin was now living with the Uchiha but she was safe from her father at the very least. He arrived home to find his uncle waiting for him and he already knew this was not going to be a pleasant conversation. "So you brought back a S-rank missing nin, you truly are the pride of the Hyuga, it is too bad that you are a branch member. Now I have a request of you, I wish to speak to Hinata without her guard around and you will bring her to me."

Neji shook his head. "I am sorry Uncle but I cannot, Tsunade-sama has ordered that none may go near Hinata that could cause her harm, that includes me." Hiashi growled low. "I have no intention of harming Hinata, but a seal must be placed over her eyes so that in her death no one can learn the secrets of our clan, tell your Hokage that it must be done." with that he turned and strolled away. Neji unclenched his fists and saw that his nails had sunk into his palms and drawn blood, he moved to head inside and then reversed course and headed toward the Uchiha compound.

As he approached Kiba stepped out of the woods and flagged him down. "Neji, I need to talk to you, I'm about Hinata and very important." stopping he let the man catch up to him. "What about Hinata-sama?"

Kiba began his tail about how she had gone on a routine mission and how the Uchiha had brought her back nearly dead and then how he had made sure that she would stay in his home when she was released from the hospital. He told a story of how Hinata had pulled away from him and he was certain that the Uchiha was brain washing her but he saved the best part for last. "His hands were all over her, he was kissing her and she was trying to get away from him and he wouldn't let her go. You have to get her out of there Neji, he will defile her soon and I don't want that to happen." for the second time that night Neji had to pull his nails from the palms of his hands and after a quick nod toward Kiba he was off and running toward the compound now. Kiba watched him go and smirked, Hinata would be his soon.

Neji sped past the guard stationed at the front of the compound and quickly made his way toward the house his cousin was trapped inside, he slammed a Chakra filled fist through the front door shattering it to pieces and what he saw made his vision go red, Hinata was laying on the couch with the Uchiha on top of her and she was struggling to move. He was across the room and had pull Sasuke off of her and had thrown him into a wall, he stalked toward the man and suddenly his vision was filled with Hinata standing there defiant her palms raised and her eyes sharp and hard. He went to move past her and quickly learned that his cousin had teeth and they hurt when they sank into his back. "Damn it Hinata, I'm trying to protect you from this filth."

Sasuke coughed trying to regain his wind and put his hands up in a surrender motion. "Neji, I wasn't hurting her, We were just kiss.." his words died in his throat as the older boy looked at him. "Hinata-sama you are coming home with me now, we will go and see Tsunade-sama in the morning and see if she can reverse the brainwashing."

Hinata moved away from Neji and over to Sasuke, checking to make sure nothing had been broken. "What are you talking about? I haven't been brainwashed?" Sasuke however had rapidly figured out what was going on. "You talked to Kiba didn't you?" Neji nodded. "Neji, I love Hinata, I wouldn't hurt her nor would I brainwash her. Kiba is trying to start trouble, Shino warned me he might try something. I guess he thought in a fight you would come out the victor."

Neji slowed his breathing and looked around, there were pictures around the room of Sasuke and Hinata and in them they looked happy, he looked back over and saw his cousin gently guiding Sasuke to a chair so that she could better heal the ribs that had broken when he hit the wall. "I am sorry, it seems that I do not yet trust you, I should though, I will try harder."

A door opened down the hall and Itachi and Tsuneo stepped out and came into the living room. Itachi began to laugh and quickly covered it with a cough as he realized that Neji had basically been the father coming in to see his daughter with a boy for the first time. "Do you need any help Hinata-san?"

Hinata looked up and shook her head. "It's nothing I can't heal, but you could make a pot of tea, I think we all need to sit down and talk." He nodded and after setting Tsuneo in another chair moved to the kitchen to start the tea. After healing her boyfriend and laying a blanket over Tsuneo who had gone back to sleep on the chair they moved to the back patio of the house to talk. Neji explained what Kiba had told him and having never had a reason to not trust the man he had taken his word on faith.

Hinata listened and after Sasuke told her what Shino had said she sighed. "I knew that he liked me, he told me so about a year or so ago but I told him I didn't see him that way. I thought he had finally moved past it because he never brought it up again and when we spoke he didn't look at me in that way. I guess he just got better at hiding it, but to actually try and accuse Sasuke of brainwashing me and molesting me is too much. There are people in the village who will listen to him because he is a respected Nin and Sasuke left us for a time. We need to speak to Tsunade tonight before he can spread these lies around."

They all nodded but one of the ANBU members had been listening and requested that perhaps Tsunade should come to the compound to talk to all of them as it would be easier to protect just her instead of their large group. They agreed and Sasuke began to make a list of who was allowed to be in the compound and what questions should be asked along with answers. He would be making a new list of questions randomly so that no one could simply overhear and enter under the guise of a clone.

He had just finished a third list of questions when Tsunade appeared in front of all of them and so they all told their stories once again, Hinata stayed mostly silent during this as she really couldn't believe her friend would have done something so horrible. Tsunade listened and then she opened a folder she had brought with her, she laid a single sheet of paper on the table and stepped back.

Sasuke was the first to read what it said and his eyes turned crimson as Hinata took the paper from him, what she read made her sick and she handed it over to Neji. As was the Hyuga tradition any child that had unsealed eyes could be married off to a member of the village so long as the groom and Father of the bride agreed on it. What Neji held in his hands was a signed wedding contract that stated that Hinata was married to Kiba and that the marriage was binding.

"That was brought to my office right after I finished up here, Hinata, you are no longer part of the Hyuga clan but I'm afraid even I can't stop your father from doing this. The tradition is any member with unsealed eyes, which is you. We are going to fight this and make sure that neither Kiba or your father get hold of you but you cannot leave this house until it is finished. I'm sorry."

Sasuke took Hinata into his arms and held her, he could see that she was trembling, with anger or fear he wasn't sure but one thing was certain when she broke she was going to need him. He lifted his head as fighting reached his ears and found a wall of ANBU surrounding them as every able bodied member of the Hyuga walked into his house. Standing next to Hiashi was Kiba with a smirk on his face.

"I thought you might try to interfere in this matter Tsunade which is why my entire house is here to make sure that the contract is fulfilled, you will turn Hinata over to her husband now and we will then work on removing the brainwashing from her." Kiba stepped forward intent on claiming his prize and found himself staring at the sky with two very angry staring at him ready to kill. Sasuke had quickly handed Hinata off to his brother and was now in the process of trying not to kill Kiba.

Hinata moved away from Itachi though he tried to hold onto her but she shook her head. "Sasuke, if you kill him then the village will think that everything about you is true and that you don't deserve to be part of it anymore. I will go with them and I trust that you, Itachi, Neji and Tsunade-sama will come up with a plan to stop this from happening." she knelt down next to him and pulled him up before hugging him tightly and kissing him gently. "You are the one I love and I don't care what that paper says, I'm not married to him." with that she turned and walked over to stand beside her father and Kiba got up and stood next to her and then grabbed her roughly and kissed her. "Hopefully he didn't defile you and I'll have that honor."

Sasuke could only watch as they all turned and left, he felt empty and then the pain came, he screamed for her to come back and finally Tsunade knocked him out with a medical jutsu. "I fear that the Hyuga are about to stage a coup not unlike the one your family was about to stage, we may be forced to fight our own if it comes to that." Itachi and Neji could only nod at the Hokage's words.
