A/N: Woah, old story is ooold. I edited a little from what I have up on dA, but it's still pretty much the same. I only needed to change a few little things, actually.
Ha, first ZabuHaku fanfiction I ever wrote. I only wrote...3 1/2, I believe it was. I completely lost the plot on the last one I was writing and one of them I don't plan to ever actually post...
Sooo, yeah. Posting my favourite of the ones I wrote, so hope you enjoy! :)

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto, nor any of it's characters. I just play with them once they're dead. *goes off to sulk*

Haku sighed quietly, staring at the nothingness that surrounded him. He didn't know where he was, or what exactly had happened, but he knew he was dead.

As much as he missed having Zabuza there, he was glad the older Nin hadn't died. Or maybe he had, and Haku had gone to hell; he couldn't decide. Either way, he doubted that he would see his most precious person again.

Zabuza grunted sitting up and holding his head. He vaguely remembered the fight on the bridge, and how it had ended. He couldn't really remember anything between when Haku had died and lying next to the boy as he himself slowly left the mortal world, though; he must have gone a little insane for awhile.

He looked around half heartedly, expecting to find himself in hell. Needless to say, he was surprised he wasn't in the place he'd deserved; in his own opinion, if not many others'. He was surprised even more so when he found that he wasn't alone.

Though distant, he could see another person. Ignoring all instinct to be wary – he was dead, what good would it do now? – He rose to his feet and walked towards them. He started to recognize the figure, trying not to become too hopeful; only one person was that familiar to Zabuza and it would be worse than any eternal fire what could be done with his form alone. He knew that very little in his life would get him into heaven, so he knew it was more likely for this to be his own personal brand of hell.

"Haku?"

Haku's head shot up and around as soon as he heard his name, recognizing the voice of his most precious person. He smiled and stood carefully, turning to face his master.

"Zabuza-san," he whispered, stepping forward cautiously and smiling at him.

Zabuza smiled back, noticing for the first time that his bandages were missing; only his Haku could die and still smile like nothing had happened. Maybe he had gotten his wish. Maybe this was heaven after all.

"How did I manage to end up in heaven with you? I don't deserve this and we both know that," he muttered, cupping Haku's cheek carefully, scared he was simply an illusion that would disappear any second.

Haku sighed happily, resting his hand on top of Zabuza's and leaning into the touch.

"It wouldn't be heaven without you," he answered quietly. Zabuza was with him now, everything would be ok.
