A / N : This is for the "Hated Ships" challenge on xoxLewrahxox's Forum. Bella / Hermione. A fanon ship I find totally illogical, and hate. But anyway. This is my best serious attempt, and I've tried to keep everyone in character and canon compliant – which means the rape metaphor is about as shippy as I can get. Sorry to disappoint in any way!

Prompt: Write a drabble featuring a character/ship that you despise. This is NOT an opportunity for character/ship bashing. Instead it should be a serious attempt to portray the hated character(s) in a positive light.

Please let me know what you think of it, and where you stand on the ship (like, hate, etc.) This is set while Bella tortures Hermione at Malfoy Manor.

In the girl's eyes there is fear, and disgust.

It is not enough.

She ought to respect her torturer.

Bellatrix learnt this lesson long ago. She has fallen at her master's feet a thousand times. Awed. Envious. Lust -

There is no good or bad.

Only power . . . .

But this girl – filthy, unworthy, thief – denies it.

No matter. If the Mudblood won't comply, then she will wrench respect from her by force.

It is the only way.

The curse sinks into the girl's chest, clean, sharp as a knife, penetrating . . . and Granger screams.
