She laid in the bed and heard the rain drops falling outside. Everyone was begging her to be strong and telling her to live but truth be told part of her was ready to leave, so she could be with him.

It had been a couple years since she had found him dead. Her heart shattering into a million pieces as the man she loved was gone.

She opened her eyes and stared up into the dark hospital room. Her heart was failing again, and she was dying. They had said before that there was a chance she wouldn't make it but this time it felt more real than ever. She felt lost before she had people to live for, but now not so much.

She closed her eyes again listening to the rain hit the window. She felt at peace and she was ready. Ready to be with all of them.

She didn't fight anymore. She just laid falling into a peaceful sleep. She heard the monitor sound and listened to the nurses and doctors running in to try to save her, but she didn't fight.

She opened her eyes this time alive as ever. She smiled as she saw him standing waiting for her. "Maxie" he whispered and she felt her heart feel full again.

She stood up and walked towards him hugging him and telling him how much she missed him. He held her back and smiled then looked at her sadly. "Maxie go back"

She looked at him confused not understanding.

He smiled weakly. "You need to spend more time living. You'll be with me someday but not today, Maxie go back and live your dreams."

She felt herself slipping away from him nodding at his words but not wanting to hear them. "Someday" he whispered to her and she nodded.

She opened her eyes as the doctors looked over her relived. They headed out the room and she stared back out the window feeling stronger than before. "Someday I'll be with you Cooper."
