Make a wish, For Richard Grayson's Birthday!
One-Shot
Kori peaked over her shoulder to make sure her husband of 1 year was still asleep. Seeing his chest go up and down at a constant rate Kori snuck out of his embrace carefully so she wouldn't wake him.
Tip toeing towards the door, Kori's hand softly wrapped around the silver knob. Pulling the door open slowly so she wouldn't make a noise, she snuck out of the room unnoticed.
Sighing in relief once she was out the door, Kori headed towards the kitchen with a smile on her face.
Upon reaching the kitchen, Kori flipped the light switch to light the room. Walking to the island Kori bent down and opened a cabinet pulling out a mixing bowl.
She set the bowl on the granite counter and scanned her eyes for the pancake mix. Spotting it to her left Kori walked over and grabbed the box.
Now all she had to do was follow the instructions, she had never made pancakes before but when she asked Rachel she had said it was easy.
Reading over the instructions Kori nodded to herself. It seemed easy enough.
Picking up the kitchen utensil for '3/4' Kori walked over to the faucet and turned the water on slowly so she could fill the cup up without it going all over the place.
Kori's hand slipped and she gave a frustrated sigh as the utensil fell into the sink. Picking it up Kori quickly washed it and filled it up again. Slowing walking to the mixing bowl Kori placed the water beside it, because the mix had to go in first.
Taking 1 cup of the mix Kori poured it into the bowl, with a satisfied smile on her face. This was easy.
Stretching her arm out to grab the water Kori's elbow hit the mixing bowl pushing it off the counter.
The bowl fell to the ground with a 'cling' as well as the pancake mix inside it.
Kori growled slightly when she heard a muffled chuckle.
Flicking her gaze to the doorway entrance, Kori frowned when she saw Richard standing there with an amused grin on his face.
"How long have you been standing there?" Kori sighed with her hands on her hips.
"The whole time, you didn't really think I wouldn't notice that you left me alone in bed did you?" Richard quirked an eyebrow.
"It was supposed to be a surprise." Kori muttered looking at the ground.
Richard walked over to her placing his hands on her hips.
"Surprise?" Richard questioned.
Kori looked up, "Breakfast in bed." She said cheekily.
He chuckled.
"But since that's a failed attempt, there's always a back up plan." Kori smiled walking to the fridge. Opening it up she took out a circle cake, with the words 'Make a wish' iced on the surface.
Placing a candle in it, she lit it up and walked over to Richard. Holding the cake in her hands she looked up at him, "Make a wish." She whispered.
Thinking for about a second Richard closed his eyes and blew out the candle.
Taking the cake from her hands Richard put it on the counter.
"What'd you wish for?" Kori asked wrapping her arms around his neck.
Placing his hands once again at her waist, "You."
Kori laughed slightly with a blush on her face, "Happy Birthday, Babe."
