"Maybe I don't need to go to school today," Reiri said, her voice wistful. "I could just stay in my coffin and not come out for the next, oh, hundred years or so."

"No NEETs in this house," Hime said, not looking up from her breakfast. "Either work or go to school."

"You sure there isn't fieldwork we can do?" Riza said, she sounded wistful too. "There's probably a lot of mysteries left in the world that needs royalty to look at it or something."

"No, it's been pretty quiet," Hime said. "Nothing to do. Go to school."

"But…!" the two protested.

"Go," Hime commanded, her tone not altering a hair. "You're horning in on my honeymoon."

The two girls stared at her, and their gazes swiveled to Hiro. The boy had a REALLY out of it look in his eyes, but he still managed to blush… eventually. They turned back to stare at Hime.

She raised an elegant blonde eyebrow. "What?" she said in her usual level voice.

Reiri coughed. "Isn't it, uh, beneath the dignity of a royal to take their Blood Warrior to bed?"

"No, of course not," Hime said. "Provided it is done properly. Hurry up, you need to wash the dishes before you leave."

Reiri frowned. "What happened to Sawawa?"

"She's on her honeymoon with my sister," Hime said.

"Why can't Flandre do it?" Riza demanded.

"She's on her honeymoon with Francesca and Ryu-Ryu."

"Hey, how come we don't get a honeymoon?"

"You've had it," Hime said, finishing her cup of tea. "That's what the trip to Las Vegas was about." She rose. "Hiro, follow."

Hiro jerked upright and managed to give Reiri and Riza an embarrassed look before scurrying after the blonde.

The two girls stared blankly after them.

"I should have killed you when I had the chance," Riza groaned, slumping.

"Likewise," Reiri said with a sigh.

From Hime's room came a rhythmic thumping sound.

….

"Reiri-sama!-!-!-!" the crowd of girls wailed as Reiri arrived at the school gates. "Why, oh, why did you get married?"

Reiri paused. "Ah, why do you say I got married?"

"Because you invited us to Las Vegas to see it!" one distraught girl cried.

How drunk wasI that night? Reiri wondered.

….

"I have a wonderful idea," Riza said through clenched teeth as she tried to cook rice. "Why don't I go to school and murder you! That way, EVERYONE will know for sure we're not really a couple!"

"It's… not as bad as it seems," Reiri valiantly tried to rally, despite the fact she'd lost most of her girls and would have to go on a diet. Apparently, many of them didn't want to 'soil' her by being her mistress(es). Humans. "The plan could still work."

"The same plan the ended WITH US MARRIED IN LAS VEGAS?-!-?-!-?-!-?" Riza demanded.

"Eek!" Reiri jerked as her sensitive ears were assaulted. "Yes, it could still work!" she snapped. "All we need to do is get a divorce! Or an annulment, if we're lucky!"

Riza paused, suddenly going googly-eyed. "Divorce… My life is good again!"

Reiri poked her on the shouler. "Riza," she said, pointing at the pot.

Riza looked down and yelped as the rice boiled over…

….

"Oh, yes, filing for divorce is very easy," the helpful government worker said. "I'll need you identification as well as your marriage certificate…"

Riza frowned. "Marriage certificate… do we have one of those, Reiri?"

Reiri sighed. "Yes, we do Riza."

Riza sighed as well. "Oh, good."

"It was that thing you tore up when Hiro handed it to you."

A pause. "DAMN IT!-!-!-!-!-!-!"

….

- To be continued… ?

….

A/N: been rereading the series. I've forgotten how awesome it was, and how blatant Riza and Reiri were. I hope they show up un Nakua-den

I really don't know how you go about filing for divorce in Japan. Why slow down the story with inconvenient things like facts?

The alternative title for this chapter was 'The Quest For Divorce'. Maybe next time…

Please review, C&C welcome.

Until next time, this is Shadow, signing off.
