Alex let out uneven breaths as she stared into Olivia's soulful brown eyes; she wanted to say something, anything really, but she also didn't want to break the spell surrounding them. Olivia gazed into the depths of Alex's baby blue eyes; they reminded her of the ocean, deep and mysterious but calming and inviting at the same time. The brunette tightened her arms around the other girl's waist, savoring the closeness, not knowing the next time she'll experience this again. The two girls clung to each other until the slamming of a door brought them back to reality.
Blushing furiously, Alex brushed nonexistent dust off of her tights, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt your rehearsal. I hope you're not mad…" Alex trailed off as Olivia pressed a finger lightly to her full lips.
She gave the blonde a bright, lopsided smile, "I'm really glad you came in here, Alex. I promise I'm not mad."
Alex looked like she didn't believe her, "About what happened before," she could see Olivia flinch at the memory as she tried to step away from her. Alex grabbed her hand lightly to keep her near, "Please let me explain," seeing that the brunette was not going to run, Alex continued, "I don't want to fight with you anymore. We've been fighting for too long, don't you think?"
"You think I want to fight with you?" Anger flashed through Olivia's eyes, "I didn't start this Alex. I was happily going about my life until you stepped in and decided to ruin it." The taller girl shook her wrist out of Alex's grasp and stepped away, needing to put some physical distance between them. Hurt, Alex allowed her to move away from her; she didn't expect Olivia to trust her and jump into her arms. Not after everything she had done to her over the years.
Alex tucked the stray hairs that escaped her bun behind her ears, chewing her lip slightly. "Listen, I want to explain everything to you. If you'll let me, of course."
"Why should I?" Olivia crossed her arms over her chest, still skeptical of Alex's motives.
Rather than trying to convince Olivia with her words, Alex, feeling bold, decided to let her actions speak for themselves. Stepping into Olivia's personal space, Alex leaned in and lightly pressed her lips to the brunette's, letting her hands fall to the other girl's waist. Olivia, taken aback by the kiss, was stunned for a second before she started to kiss Alex back, she let her arms fall from her chest and snaked them around the blonde's neck, pulling her closer. Alex had only meant for the kiss to be short and sweet, but, when Olivia pulled her closer and lightly ran her tongue over her bottom lip, Alex knew this wasn't going to be a simple kiss. She wound her arms around the other girl's waist, letting her fingertips go under Olivia's tank top to feel the smooth skin of her lower back. Feeling Alex touch her for the first time made the taller girl let out a low moan. The sound of the moan snapped Alex bac to reality and she broke the kiss, breathing hard as she tried not to watch how Olivia's chest rose and fall with every breath she took.
Alex licked her lips, eyes falling shut as she could faintly taste Olivia on her lips. Her blues opened only to lock them with eyes as black as night. Alex let out a small gasp as she saw the raw lust that played over Olivia's gorgeous face. Trying to regain control of the situation, Alex said, her voice wavering a little, "Let's talk about this somewhere more private."
Olivia played with the hair at the back of Alex's neck, noticing the shiver that ran down her spine as she did so. She smiled, coyly, "Where are you thinking of having this…."talk"?"
"Your place?" The smile slipped from Olivia's face as she thought about her drunken mother and her sleazy boyfriend. There was no way in hell she was going to bring Alex back to that.
"Ummm, my mom doesn't really like it when I have people over when she's not home. What about your place?"
If Alex knew Olivia was lying, she didn't comment on it. "Sure, that sounds good. I'll even make you dinner, if you're nice to me."
Olivia leaned in and kissed Alex again, giving in to her desires. "Oh, trust me, I'll be VERY nice."
Alex felt like she was drunk off Olivia's kisses, her head was swimming with thoughts of Olivia in very indecent positions. Shaking those thoughts from her mind, for now anyway, she turned to the other girl, sticking her arm out. "Shall we, m'lady?"
Olivia giggled, winding her arm around Alex's. She hadn't felt so happy in a very long time; she just hoped Alex wouldn't end up breaking her hear. "We shall," the two girls gathered their belongings and made their way out of the studio, hearts pounding with uncertainty about the talk they knew they had to have.

Alex called Steven as the two girls made their way to Olivia's car, telling him she was catching a ride with a friend and to have Jane set another place at dinner for her guest, despite Olivia protesting that she didn't want to burden anyone. Pulling into the Cabot's extensive driveway, brown eyes widened at the house that stood in the horizon. She had always knew Alex came from a wealthy family, but, the house looked like something a princess would live in. She parked near the front door before following Alex inside the house, eyes widening even more while she took in the expensive art work hung up on the walls and the fancy knick-knack that littered every table or shelf. Alex, of course unfazed by all the wealth that surrounded her, kicked off her shoes by the door before starting up the grand staircase. Olivia tripped over herself trying to remove her shoes as fast as she could before following the blonde.
The brunette followed the shorter girl into a room that was as big as her whole house. By the pictures on the wall, clothes strewn across the floor, and desk that was littered with empty bottles, wrappers, and a wafer think laptop, Olivia concluded that she was in Alex's room. She stood awkwardly by the door as the blonde flittered around the room, getting comfortable.
Alex noticed Olivia's hesitation and smiled, "Come on in. I don't bite. You know, unless you want me to," she winked and Olivia turned as read as a tomato.
"She's trying to kill me," she muttered walking over to Alex's bed. She sat down, gently, at the edge while she watched the other girl take her long hair out from its tight bun. Alex sighed as she released the pressure from her head, running her fingers through the tangle mess. The brunette watched her, awe etched upon her face. She never thought that such a simple task could take her breath away, but, anything Alex did took her breath away.
Olivia rubbed her sweaty palms on her pants, trying to calm herself down. You need to stop freaking out, she thought to herself, I mean it's just Alex. True, you've had a crush on her for a long time. True, this is the first time you're in her room. Also true, this is the first time you guys have been alone in private…okay I'm back to freaking out.
Alex moved into her walk in closet to find some clothes to change into. "Hey, do you want some sweatpants to wear?" She called out to Olivia.
Olivia took a deep breath and gulped. "No, no, I'm okay. Thanks." She had just started to calm down when Alex emerged from her closet wearing the smallest pair of shorts Olivia had ever seen and a tight black T-shirt. The brunette felt like her eyes were about to pop out of her head.
Alex sat gracefully next to Olivia, tucking her legs under her much to the other girl's relief. She knew they couldn't have a serious conversation while she was drooling over Alex's legs. "So…" The blonde trailed off.
"So…." Olivia repeated, wringing her hands together. They sat in silence for a few moments before Alex broke it.
"Listen, I know I've been a total bitch over the years. And I know no amount of apologizing will ever make up for what I've done to you. But, I don't want to be that person anymore, Olivia. I know you don't have a reason to trust me right now, but, I promise you, I'm telling the truth.
The brunette hugged herself tightly, something she did when she was nervous. And being around Alex made her so nervous she felt like throwing up sometimes. "I just don't understand what I did to deserve to be treated so badly. I thought we could've been friends then you turn around and treat me like shit," tears started to well up in Olivia's eyes, "What did I do that was so wrong?"
Alex sighed deeply, hating herself for hurting Olivia so badly. The brunette was one of the best people Alex knew: she was kind, funny, caring and had the biggest heart out of anyone. And, yet, here she was doubting herself just because Alex was a bitch who couldn't come to terms with her feelings. "You did absolutely nothing wrong. Nothing, you hear me?" the blonde moved closer to her crush.
Olivia wiped the tears in her eyes before they fell, "Then, why Alex? Why did you treat me so badly? Why did you let your back of minions harass me for years? Why?"
The blonde stared into those chocolate brown orbs, letting herself get lost in them. Shaking her head lightly, Alex mustered up all her courage to finally admit to the thing she's been suppressing since middle school. Turning fully to face Olivia, she locked eyes with the other girl and hoped she wasn't about to make the biggest mistake of her life.
"Because I'm in love with you."
