How did he do that? His face always looked so serene, peaceful. Blue eyes glowed like the ball of light in his open palm, which he regarded with a smile, like happiness.

Xion controlled light too, so why couldn't she do it? Frowning into her own hand, Xion spoke.

"How do you do that, Roxas?"

He looked at her in surprise, and the light went out suddenly. Then the smile was back, understanding.

"I couldn't do it the first time either. Here, let me show you."

Xion watched with a fast-beating heart as gloved hands reached for hers. They enfolded hers like a hug, with the heat of lingering light. He lifted them up slowly into the air.

"Concentrate," He said, "On something bright and warm. And it'll come to you."

Like the sun. Xion closed her eyes, obedient. Like Roxas.

Unfamiliar and warm. Xion stared in sheer joy at the light peeking from their intertwined fingers, blue eyes shining.

"I did it!" She laughed, and he retracted his hands.

"Good job." He and Xion gazed at the luminosity. Curiously, he held out his hand, a ball of light flickering into existence. The twin orbs flashed as they drew nearer to each other.

His look was that of satisfaction, of being complete.

"What did you think of?"

Xion's answer was hesitant. "You."

"Really?" A nod. "I think of someone, too." And he smiled again, laced with meaning, like the words painted in a novel.

Roxas really was light, Xion thought admiringly, catching the implication. And whether it was real or not, she was happy.
