An Unconventional Proposal.

"I love you. Marry me?" Too common. Not to mention altogether shallow. And cliché. How about... "Marry me." Plain and simple. Perhaps too forceful though? That wouldn't do. What about.. Oh! He had the perfect idea. Just perfect!

"I hate that you're always such a know-it-all. And I hate it when you look at me like that, with that odd little smirk you stole from and your eyebrow raised just so, not saying it out loud but showing just as clearly 'Malfoy, you were wrong'.

"I hate it when you act the hero. I hate it when you choose lost causes. I hate that I was one of them.

"I hate that you know me so well, and make me feel like such a fraud, with my dumb heart out on my sleeve like your nitwit of a friend.

"I hate that you're so perfect. You make the rest of us look dumb and ugly.

"I hate the way your hair just makes me want to pass my fingers in your locks.

"I hate it when you bite your lip or that poor quill. I hate the fact I want it to be me.

"I hate that you're in all my dreams. I hate that I can't live without you.

"And I really hate that I can't help but love this and I come back to beg for more.

"I hate that my poor pants are getting dirty, as I kneel on this floor.

"I hate it that I love you so much that I would beg you to be my wife."

She looked at him with her head slightly tilted and a small smile on her lips.

"You are so unromantic. I'm dreading what you'll say for our vows if this is your proposal."

"Are you counting on making me wait til – wait, you said 'wedding vows'? So you mean yes?"

"I'm just going to content myself with raising my eyebrow at you until you decide to something about it."
