| Open up Your Eyes |
Seems it's only been a moment, since the angels took him from her arms, and she was left there holding on to their tomorrow.
Walking around her lockeroom, Mickie tried to understand what she did wrong. She had just lost her Women's Championship to Michelle, the women that had turn her life into a hell in the past few months and now she would walk around with the biggest smug on her face. This left Mickie disgusted just with the simple glimpse of it as she changed her clothes, getting ready to leave. She just wanted to go home and sleep for hours, try to pretend that all that was a nightmare. As she took her jacket out of the dresser, a picture felled into the ground. "I didn't know I had photos in here", Mickie wondered to herself. After taking a look at the picture, it was when the tears started to fall. "Randy...", Mickie mumbled between words and tears as she closed her eyes. Randy and she had been in a relationship for a couple of years and at that time, Mickie had everything: the tittle, the career and the amazing boyfriend. But one single night changed everything.
- Flashback -
Mickie: "Randy, stop lying! I'm not stupid. I saw you flirting with her! "
Randy: "Damm Mickie, I wasn't flirting with her! You know Stacy; she tries everything to break us apart. After all we been through together I thought you knew better than this... "
Mickie: "I should know better than this? No Randy, YOU should know better than this. I'm tired of lies; I'm tired of these little games that you play. I guess everyone was right about you... "
Randy: "What are you talking about?"
Mickie: "Everyone told me you were a playboy but I never believed in it. I guess i was blinded by you or something. But now I see. I was just a tease for you all this time. "
Randy: "A tease? You couldn't be more wrong. But you know what? I was the one that was wrong about you. You are no longer the Mickie that I feel in love with in the first place. I'm done. "- Randy said, angry and hurt, as he stormed trough the door, trying to hide the tears.
[Next morning]
*phone rings*
Mickie: "Hello?"
Doctor: "Is this Ms. Mickie James?"
Mickie: "Yes it is. Who's talking?"
Doctor: "This is from the St. Louis Hospital. I'm here to inform that Mr. Orton was involved in a brutal car crash last night."
Mickie: What?! What happened? Is he okay?
Doctor: "Mr. Orton was in a really bad condition. We tired everything we could... "
Mickie: "............................................."
- End of flashback-
Mickie felt her heart breaking with these memories. It had been two years since Randy's death but she felt like it had been yesterday. That phone call had been the worst moment of her life and she couldn't forget about it for one second. Mickie always felt guilty of what happened even though no one ever blamed her. If Randy and she never had that fight, he could be alive. She never forgot the look on Randy's eyes as he stormed into the door. That sad but mostly disappointed look on his eyes. It was the last memory he had of her and that was an idea that Mickie couldn't handle. She took a look at the picture one more time. Smiles. Joy. Happiness. Three things that for two long years had been missing in her life. Yes, Mickie missed him. She missed the life they had. But the truth is that he was gone and as she opened up her eyes, she realized that it was time to start to move on.
