DarkPriestess66: I have not abandoned this story, it just took some time to get over a major writer's block, and a marathon of gargoyles
Sesshomaru and Melissa came back around one am, Kagome was in the media room just snacking on popcorn, and watching a flick. Sesshomaru looked at Kagome "I hope they weren't too much trouble or that don't have any new jewelry."
"Nope, and if they ask when they wake up in the morning, tell them I got bored after you got home, so I left." Kagome replies, as she stood up, she looked at Sesshomaru, "I never pictured you as a family man, back when we first met."
Sesshomaru quirked an eyebrow. "Hm, truth be told, neither did I."
"Best feeling in the world, isn't it?" Kagome asks, as she was escorted to the nearest balcony.
"Yes, it is and now. I wouldn't trade it for the world." He shook her hand. "I do hope, we will see you more often now as well."
Kagome grinned, "I'm a gargoyle, so it's not likely that I'm going to be walking into an airport any time soon." She leapt up onto the balcony railing. "I would suggest getting the old gang back together, but I don't want to think of Kouga, Inuyasha, and Brooklyn in the same room."
"I don't know is there a room big enough to hold them and their egos?" Sesshomaru joked.
"No, and I doubt Xanatos wants to rebuild the castle if they get into a fight." Kagome replies before giving a wave and leapt off the balcony, her wings spreading out as she caught the updraft.
As she glided across the night sky, Kagome thought about how much her life changed in so little time. She has gone from being alone, to finding a new family, then second family, and last reuniting with her brothers, and claiming her mate. It was enough to make her head spin.
Kagome scanned the area of the city leading from Sesshomaru's building, back to the Eyrie Building. She landed in the castle courtyard. Folding her wings, she began to walk into the castle itself. She entered the castle and heard the TV playing in the upper level.
Kagome followed the sound, until she entered the room. "What is with this castle, doesn't anyone sleep?"
"You of all of us should know no one really sleeps in this castle." The old warrior Hudson answered.
Bronx stood up and went over to Kagome, where he was petted.
"Yeah, I suppose not." Kagome responds, "What's on?"
"Not much just reruns and those silly infomercials." Hudson said.
"Nice, Three thousand channels and nothing on, got to love cable TV." Kagome responds, "You could try babysitting hyper half-demons."
"Child, I wouldn't wish that in my worst enemy." Hudson replies
Kagome let the being called a child slide, "Well remind me of that when Demona shows up."
"Speaking of that wretched gargoyle..." a voice states as Midoriko appeared in the room. "I'm going to torment the sisters for the rest of my long life."
Kagome smiled and chuckled "between Puck and you, I say they will be getting what they deserve."
"You do not understand, Kagome-chan, the sisters broke Oberon's Law, and Lord Oberon is not doing anything to them." Midoriko growled
Now three gargoyles growled at this information.
"And it just happens they interfered with the affairs of mortals." Midoriko states, "Demona and some human called Macbeth." Magic crackled around the white haired priestess, "And I haven't the foggiest to set things right, no mortal should live past their era of birth unless a meddling gargoyle is thrown into the mix."
Now both of the male gargoyles growled even louder at the name of their two greatest foes.
"Stop with your growling, and you kept wondering out that she-demon kept on living to fight another day." Midoriko orders.
"I swear that those two should have burned at the gates." The old warrior huffed
"Back to why I suddenly appeared, whenever you run into that she-demon, call me, and I'll handle it from there." Midoriko requested before sighing, "If I had known they would have done something like this, I would have suggested that Oberon bind their powers or I would have."
"Of course but we're not all oracles." Kagome replied "And even then the oracles can be wrong."
"One power, I was never granted." Midoriko sighed
"If you want to set things right with Demona and Macbeth, why do you not institute yourself into the human world?" Hudson questions
"Institute myself? And how do propose i do that given i haven't been in the human world for a long time now."
"Same way Puck did, disguise yourself as a human, since you're good at that." Kagome replies "of course you would need the Lord and Lady's permission to remain in the human world."
Midoriko gave a soft smile "I don't a problem there as they let the fool stay. "
"As a protector and teacher to Alexander." Kagome replies "And surely this long distance marriage is a bit bothersome."
"Yes, it is and the young Fox does need someone to teach her of her powers as well and I feel I should be the one to train her." Midoriko answers, "If I spin the request right, I might get that permission and more."
"There you go, lassy, I'm sure with your ability you can get the lord and lady to agree."
"Wish me luck." Midoriko states as she spun her magic and disappeared.
Kagome left Hudson to watch the tv, she went to find Owen. She found the man sitting in the study seeming to be reading a book.
"Hello my friend." Kagome greets, "Shall I deliver the good or bad news first?"
He looks at her with the same deadpan look, he always has "Does it really matter somehow i feel i wont like the news either way."
"The news isn't really for your human self, anyway. However, the bad, another of the Third Race is coming here to roost among us Gargoyles." Kagome replies, "The good news, is that its Midoriko."
"Really? how bothersome, this matter must be brought up to Mr. Xanatos, thank you for telling me this."
"I doubt it bothersome when its your wife, but I don't want to be you when she gets a hold of you." Kagome replies
"Yes she does tend to that simple matters out of hand at times."
Meanwhile, David and Fox were shocked at the High Priestess of Avalon came to them applying for a job.
"Did my mother send you?" Fox questions
"Of course not, she just gave me permission to remain and reign in Puck, during his tutoring sessions with young Alexander." Midoriko answers "I also made the suggest that I could help you access your dormant powers."
