AN: This one shot came out of my obsessive watching of Soulless and Calvary. This basically expresses my feelings about what I wanted to do to Lilah during this episode. I love Lilah, just not with Wesley.

" Look at him all rugged and handsome and brains! Man he's damn near perfect." As much as Fred despised Angelus, she had to agree with him there. He really was perfect wasn't he?

She hadn't really thought about it before, but he was perfect, perfect for her anyway. They had everything in common, they were both smart people, both fighting together for a common cause, and she had known that Wesley was in love with her for a while now.

So why on earth hadn't they got together already? There was the whole 'Billy' incident, and Charles had just seemed so commanding and brave and he was a really great guy and he was so irresistible and she was so scared when he was stabbed at the ballet.

But she couldn't love him anymore. They were just too different. In the past she had thought that was endearing. But after the incident with the professor, she realised that they were too different for one another.

It was like they were on different planets.

Wesley had always understood her. He was the only one who understood about her super string theory, the only one who had cared. He was the only one who hadn't looked at her like she was pure evil when she had said she wanted to kill the professor.

There had always been something in the way.

But there wasn't anymore.

Maybe there was hope for them after all…

The hope lasted about ten seconds, long enough for Angelus to drop his bomb.

" Except the part about him bangin' Lilah for the past six months." At first she had laughed.

He can't be serious! Wesley and Lilah, yeah right!

But Wesley's stony face confirmed it.

" Fred…" he started.

" No." she said, cutting him off.

No, no no! Wesley and Lilah? No, even after all that's happened he wouldn't… he couldn't…

But he did.

" I… I should go…" she said, fleeing as fast as her legs could carry her.

Meanwhile Wesley was resisting the urge to stake Angelus on the spot but only just, he stood there, watching the woman he still adored walk away.

Again.

He cursed himself, knowing that it was all his fault that he slept with Lilah in the first place.

What he wasn't prepared for was Fred's reaction.

****

Fred really couldn't control her actions.

She had a sort of out of body experience.

As soon as she saw Lilah, smirking knowingly she just completely lost it.

Bitch. She thought bitterly.

Before she knew it her fist connected with Lilah's smirking face, all her rage and anger released in that one punch, subsequently breaking her nose.

Neither Lorne, nor Cordelia, who were the only people in the room moved to help her, though they were shocked by Fred's strange behaviour.

Fred knew she would regret it later but damn that felt good!

Lilah was on the floor, clutching at her nose.

" I… um… yeah… I'm gonna have an early night, I'll see ya'll in the mornin' k?"

With that Fred quickly rushed up to her room.

Neither Cordelia nor Lorne stopped her, even though it was far to early for her to be in bed.

" God, I wish I had done that first!" Cordelia remarked, a smirk gracing her features.

"Me too kitten." Lorne said, "Me too."

Neither one moved to help Lilah.
