Summary: A little missing scene post - "I Can't Quit You, Baby." Eric and Donna find out Jackie and Hyde have changed their minds about ending their fling.

Disclaimer: I own nothing.

A/N: I know the title is cheesy as hell, but I couldn't help myself.

Breaking Up Is Hard To Do

Some time later, Eric and Donna were once again walking down the stairs to the Forman basement. Eric was in the middle of animatedly recounting something that had happened at school that day: "…so then we told Kelso we'd give him a dollar if he ate it, and - oh for the love of all that is holy!"

They had just walked in on virtually the same scene as before, except this time Jackie was on top.

"What the hell, guys?" said Donna, as Jackie and Hyde separated. "I thought you two were breaking it off!"

Hyde shrugged. "Yeah, well, we changed our minds. What Kelso doesn't know won't hurt him."

"Oh, no, no, no, no," said Eric. "This is not happening. You said you were ending it, so end it. I mean, it's not like it means anything, so…" His eyes widened in realization. "It does mean something! This is - oh, God, this is bad. This is very, very bad."

Hyde remained unfazed."Calm down, you big girl. It's no big deal."

"Yeah, Eric," Jackie chimed in. "It's no big deal. Just don't say anything to Michael, and everything will be fine."

"You expect us to keep your dirty little secret?" Donna shook her head. "No way!"

Jackie's eyes narrowed. "Donna, remember how Michael cheated on me with Laurie for weeks and you didn't say anything to me about it? I think you owe me."

Hyde looked over at Jackie approvingly. "Emotional blackmail, nice."

"I…that was completely…I mean… damn it!" Donna sighed. "Fine, you win. I'll stay quiet…for now."

"Yeah, well," Eric burst in, "your evil mind tricks have no power over me, Jackie. I'm going to tell and you can't stop me. What do you say to that, huh?"

"Forman, tell Kelso and I'll kick your ass," Hyde said.

"Well – that's- just- you know what? Fine." Eric dropped his arms to his sides in defeat. "You know, you guys really know how to ruin an afternoon."

Donna took Eric's arm. "Eric, let's just go back to my house."

"Yeah, Forman, go back to her house, 'cause we're kind of busy here," Hyde said, with a dismissive little wave.

It was this action that seemed to push Eric over the edge. "You just – you can't – my basement - her – evil - no – Kelso - I – Yoko – no. Just- no!" They all watched as his powers of speech quickly deteriorated until he was finally reduced to squawking noises and flailing hand gestures.

Donna glared at them. "Nice going, you two. Now look what you've done - you broke Eric." She started rubbing her boyfriend's back soothingly. "Come on; let's get out of here."

As she led the still-babbling Eric out the door, she threw an "I hope you're proud of yourselves!" over her shoulder.

Jackie looked at Hyde. "I kind of am, actually," she said, trying vainly to stifle a giggle.

"Man, I've never seen Forman freak out like that before." he smiled."That was awesome."

Jackie's eyes sparkled. "Pretty badass, huh?"

"Yeah, definitely."

And they proceeded to pick up where they had left off.
