"Oh, the new Silver Moon: Night Falls!" Kagome grabbed the game on the shelf in front of her and flipped it over, "an evil lurking in the shadows; follow our hero through a world of shadows where only the light of the moon can bring you sanctuary. A Species of Night Dwellers have arisen and are a threat to humanities survival, sucking both the life and magic from humans and nature alike, forcing an old world to succumb to a new evil. Oooooh~!" She grinned, "I want it!"

"You know, there's a limit to the geek that I can deal with."

"Damn, why was I under the impression that it would take soooooo much more than a trip to the nearest GameGo store to break your psyche." She didn't even glance at Mello when she made her sassy comment. Still reading the specs on the back of the game, she started walking over to the checkout counter, "I wonder if they have Silver Moon: Shattered Era,"

"Not since last month, the last one we had was bought by your friend there."

Kagome turned to the owner who was pointing at Matt as he leaned in to view one of the lower shelves filled with games for the Pandora handheld. "Of course, will you be getting it in again?"

"Nah, doubtful. Not since the new Silver Moon came out."

She nodded, paying for her new game and taking the bag handed to her, she made her way to Matt's side and looked over the games. "Oh nice! The selection of RPG's for the Pandora is ridiculous! Ah, and look at these dating sims!"

"You play Dating games too?"

"I love dating games, too easy getting the girls. Maybe because I am female, but the answers are just way too obvious to me. I love the stories though; you know High School Stumble?"

"I loved High School Stumble! Who was your Waifu?"

"That's tough, I really liked Naki-Chan but Hotori-Chan is also really adorable."

"I'm all for Naki-Chan, she's got this fiery temper on top of being a general badass. It's like...Mello, if he was a girl."

Kagome laughed, "I could totally see that! Oh, doesn't she also have a character design with blonde hair too!?"

"That's the one I use," He laughed.

Mello heaved a sigh, listening to the weird conversation that the two were having. Leaning against the wall and watching Matt shop, he glanced at the girl beside his best friend who was now leaning over to look at the same games that Matt was. He looked at the manager who was leaning over the counter a bit to eye the lengthy legs of Matt's new friend. Mello cleared his throat and the man glanced over; his cheeks turned a dark flush at being caught staring. He quickly turned around and busied himself with stocking behind the cash register. Again, Mello sighed heavily and turned back to eyeing Matt and his new friend. Raising a brow, he followed the length of her legs up to the hem of her skirt before closing his eyes and counting quietly in his head from 1 to 10.

"Hey, Matt, we've been here long enough that my IQ is starting to drop."

Matt nodded, "right, right. Wouldn't want you to catch anything contagious. Gameritis or some shit."

"As of last year, WHO recognized Gaming Disorder as an Official Medical Condition, so don't act like it's not possible."

Kagome laughed, "I'm not that bad. I have a priority to my schooling."

"Aren't most of your classes in the Gaming field? Ahk! Nngh~" Matt grunted when a elbow met his gut.

Walking away from Matt as if she hadn't just back elbowed him, she stepped up beside Mello and leaned against the wall beside him. He glanced at her for a moment before he glanced back to Matt with a smirk, his eyes watching the red head rub his sore stomach as he made his way to the checkout counter.

"Oh, I smell something sweet."

Mello nodded, "Chocolate store next door. The only reason I agreed to come with the two of you is because I'll be dragging Matt's sorry ass next door after."

"This and this," Matt pulled his wallet out and laid the cash on the counter.

"Do you have you GameGo membership card on you?"

Matt pulled it out and the cashier scanned it before handing it back. "Hey, when is the next shipment this month?"

"Come back in two weeks, we'll have a huge assortment of Pandora games stocked on the shelf."

"Right, I'll be back then."

Kagome chuckled under her breath, "why is he like this?"

"I ask myself that every day."

"Stop whispering under your breath about me!" Matt tossed an arm over Mello's shoulder as he dragged the blonde out of the GameGo.

They had started towards the Chocolate Pâtissier next to the GameGo. Kagome made as far as the door before she noticed a fruit stand across the way. "Oh! I'll be right back!"

Matt and Mello watched her walk off to the stand. "Go with her," Mello said as he thought of leaving her to her own devices, "I'll run in and get my stuff."

Matt frowned, "I think she'll be fine for a few minutes. She knows where we are."

Mello sighed but walked inside with Matt still hanging off him.

"Hey, if it isn't the Principals delinquent daughter,"

"We shouldn't get involved with her, let's just go."

Kagome heard them before she saw them. 'What a bother...' Kagome closed her eyes and took a breath before she continued with the task at hand. Lifting one of the bright orange spheres, she brought it before her nose and smiled at the sweet, citrus scent that filled her senses.

"They are fresh from River Farm,"

Kagome opened her eyes and grinned, "do you have a box?"

The little old woman nodded, "we have the ones they came in, but it might be a bit big."

Shaking her head, Kagome accepted the box, "I'd like to fill the box, if you don't mind."

She paid the costs of the box of oranges and bowed politely to the old woman before she started back to the chocolate store; however, a familiar blonde cut her off when she stepped in front of the door. "...Misa..."

"Kagome~" Misa smirked, "got your hands full? You look like you need some help."

Kagome raised a brow when Misa opened the door for her. She couldn't possibly trust this girl any less than she already did. Moving forward, her eyes widened as a foot caught hers and gravity suddenly became a threat to her physical being.

"Whoa! I got ya," Matt chuckled; his arm outstretched around her waist.

Mello had steadied the box in her arms and took it while Matt helped her up. Placing the box on the table beside them, he leaned against the oak wood of the table. "Amane, did you need something with Kagome?"

Misa's face drained of color, "no, I...it was an accident. She's okay, right?"

He gave a cold glare and the girl cleared out before he could say anything. "Coward,"

"That's not a bad thing." Matt muttered, "though she's pretty cruel trying to trip a girl with her hands full."

Kagome sighed, "it's nothing, she'll get bored if I don't pay her any mind. I deserved this. Trusting her was a mistake. I knew better, and I still did. Oh, did you get what you came in for, Mello?"

"Yeah, a couple bars." He eyed the box next to him, "what's with all the oranges?"

"...I...like oranges."

Silence.

She smiled at the blonde, "what?"

"You're weird,"

Her eyes wandered to the bag he held, she frowned, "you bought like...two dozen chocolate bars, how am I weird?"

"You bought an 8x10 box of oranges, this thing is filled to the top..."

She took an orange from the top of the pile in her box, closing her eyes, she brought it to her lips. A sweet kiss was placed along the fresh and bright orange of the peel before she opened her eyes and met Mello's intense gaze. She tossed the orange his way and smirked when he caught it without breaking their gaze. She took the box in her arms and turned away from him while walking out of the door that Matt held open for her.

Mello stopped beside and grinning Matt who was clearly fighting back a laugh. "Shut up," He lifted the orange up to his eye level and stared at it in confusion.

"I mean...I kind of like Oranges too," he leaned forward a bit and took the fruits scent in, "smells delicious." He looked at Mello whose eyes had widened at the sudden proximity. "I'm sure it'll taste just as delicious as it smells." Turning away, he caught back up to Kagome who was already much further ahead of them. Mello lingered behind the two teases and sighed as he tightened his hold on the orange in his hand before placing the bright orange fruit in his trench coats pocket. He would need to teach them both a lesson if they were going to toy around with him like that. Not that Kagome knew better, but Matt... Matt knew. He would have to supply some form of punishment, so this wouldn't happen again.

'Damn...' his eyes followed Matt's shoulder blades and the slim of his back down. Switching to the short skirt that Kagome was wearing, watching her legs cross over one another as she walked, he closed his eyes and realized that he had decided without involving the two in a choice that they didn't even know was going on in his head. Not that he really cared about talking things over. Matt was already his...he'd have Kagome soon enough too. He smirked, his territorial side was starting to show, and that could be dangerous. 'I'm sure she likes Matt, and I'm sure she finds me attractive...however, as cute as her act a moment ago was, she's not the type to just date anyone. She closes herself off at school from what I've seen. Only opened once we left the school grounds. That's fine though, we can open her up to us more. I'll talk to Matt about it.' Yes, he had made up his mind. Kagome and Matt would both be his, but...in return, he would be there's...it's only fair, after all. Right?

...right.
