Incorrigible

Anissina sighed.

She was confused. Confoozled. Confounded. Conflamboozled and concrazed and condoodled and every other word she could possibly invent to describe her current state of mind.

She, a prominent supporter and the Number One advocate of women's rights around the world, promoting feminism and strong females, proud to admit that men were bastards who didn't understand women, was in love.

But not just any 'in love'.

After her last childish piss-off contest with Gwendal she'd sworn off of the male species forever, determined to do well by another female supporter of their inborn rights. And if not that, then an oppressed girl would have done fine; Anissina knew she'd consider it a worthwhile duty to convince the woman of her true strength and rightful place in the world.

And yet here she was, in love with a man.

Would he even accept her after all the trouble she'd caused him over the years? She had always known Gwen had been a proud mazoku and a prouder general, and with every failed experiment he'd grown farther and farther away from her because she was hurting both his body and his reputation.

Although after the Let's-Commit-False-Lover's-Suicide-kun, he had seemed perfectly willing to dash down and be her prince in shining armor. Almost literally, in fact. And for a brief moment by the lake, they had looked at each other and seen things that each had thought was deeply buried.

Well, that's what she had seen, at least. Something deeply buried that had made his eyes shimmer in the sunset. For Anissina, though, something had cracked and a flood of realization had come rushing through, making her break their connection and immediately revert to her age-old habit of the piss-off contest.

But only with him, of course.
Because she knew, now. They were destined to be together, and not even a strong woman can alter fate.

Though now that she thought about it…Perfect.

"Change-Your-Fate-kun coming right up!"
