Edward Cullen jerked away from the microscope and backed away from his desk when the door slammed closed. He'd been nerding out all afternoon, examining slides and samples of tissue—his newest pet project in the quest to discover the structure of nerve cells affected by Multiple Sclerosis.

He'd learned long ago to tread lightly when the fairer sex was upset, but when the object of his affections came bursting into this home office, all red-faced and fuming he managed to entangle his foot and his mouth as soon as the first words came tumbling forth.

"Everything okay, my love?"

"Okay? No it's not okay! Imagine walking into the corner deli and seeing THIS pinned to the bulletin board!"

Edward looked down at the poster Bella had thrust in his direction and groaned.

"Aww, babe! You know she didn't mean anything by it. It's a celebration!"

"But, Valentine's Day is sacred and she went and invited all these rabid fans! I'm not going to get a moment alone with you!" As Bella paced the floor, she continued to let loose.

"You know, it was one thing, changing our identities and making us move so far from home, but she went and desecrated my favorite holiday! I mean come on!"

"It's not all bad, babe."

Abby smoothed out the crumpled poster and cleared her throat.

"Steven Maxwell would love to spend some time with you!

Meet an adorable, new book boyfriend on his debut weekend! Steven's a slow burn, determined to commit to a four book relationship with just the right girl.

Steven would love to be your date at his Valentine's Day Release Party.

Did I mention he's a hot young doctor who's certain to get your temperature rising?

Dr. Hot Wheels has a soft side, too, always the perfect gent, he's bringing valentines and chocolates, sending a few lucky readers home with Book Boyfriend Boxes, or Girl's Night gifts.

For those of you who'd like curl up with the literary world's most eligible man, Dr. Steven will have a few ebook copies of his story to give away, as well.

There's plenty of room on Dr. Steven's dance card, so drop by the Roll Models Lounge on Valentine's Day from 10a.m. to Midnight and meet the man who's sure to take bookstores by storm!"

"Okay, so it is a little suggestive…"

"A little? She has you giving away Valentines! To complete strangers! Did you take a gander at these things? Chocolates, bookmarks, a personalized Valentine! They even contain the Perfect Man! My perfect man! I saw one of those boxes on her website and the writing on that card looks suspiciously familiar…"

Steven could feel his face coloring. It was a heady feeling, knowing their favorite author had immortalized the two of them, forever, between the pages of her books. He'd been so wrapped up in the moment, it never occurred to him she'd be upset…

"Baby, come here." Steven wrapped the love of his life in the sanctuary of his arms and squeezed with all his might. "You know I love only you, but 'nise needs our help. I promised to help get the word out to all of our friends, and she promised us peace and quiet as soon as the excitement dies down. We'll get to enjoy plenty of quiet time. 'nise will be so busy entertaining guests, they'll forget we're even here."

Abby snuggled into the warm embrace and grounded herself, she knew it was true. So many of their old friends had accepted 'nise's party invites. Their dear friend, would be in the house, along with SR and Ninapolitan, TKegl, Catastrophia, TexasBella, RandomCran and Morgan-Locklear, Savage7289, Ayden Morgen, Alec Frazier, and SparklingWand. They'd heard even BettiGefecht, OhGeeFantasy, and Drotuno might be stopping by to party at some point during the day. Some of their friends would be doing giveaways of their own, but Abby understood, not wanting anyone to feel left out 'nise made sure to make up loads of Boyfriend Boxes and Lit Chick baskets, she was gifting a Kindle Fire, ebook copies of Shattered and even an author's proof of Shattered with all the original line edits and authors notes. It was going to be quite the party.

"Nise tell you anything else I should know about?"

"Just that all our friends are invited and she'll be here all day to greet them and join in the day's festivities."

"It's going to be a long day."

"It is, my love, but I've always got room on my dance card for you!"
