Oh lord, there must be something you can say

Sesshomaru stared at the well unsure. He could not smell anything like he used to.

"It's probably a good thing you dont have all your senses,"

He looked at her "Why do you say such Miko?" Did she forget he was unhappy with all this?

"My home is, well loud and Inuyasha has a hard time with all the smells," She side smiles and the offers her hand to witch he just stares at it like it some poison or something.

"I won't bite," She teased, but he is not at all amused.

"You have to be touching me Sesshomaru,"

He is not holding her hand. Instead, he comes close and places his hand around her waist. She blushes at the closeness and looks down rather quickly to hide it. Though he is no longer demon, he is tall and strong, and so with that, he jumps right over the well's lip, and Kagome smiles as her Miko sense was right. The well lights up as they flow down almost endlessly. She smiles. This if a gift she was not going to waste. Not every day you get to take a demon Lord, turned human to the future.

Meanwhile, a naughty little female is smiling. "Your son is lucky, Lord Tashio," She says as if the dead man could hear her, and perhaps he could.

Kagome and human Sesshomaru land, and the first thing he notices is that there is no sky above them. In her home, the well is covered.

"The well is on my family's land," She tells him as she steps away "I should warn you-

"I do not need your warning Miko," He moves and climbed out of the well, and she follows and meets in at the steps.

"I live on a shrine," She walks up the steps and opens the doors to the well house. It made sense that she would own the lands that brought her to and from. Once he steps out, he sees the God tree, and for the most part, everything looks normal. It looks like a typical day in his time. She watches his face as he looks around. He then sees her house, and that stands out. But that's not what she wants him to see.

"Follow me," She goes to the shrine steps and stars to walk down them. Right away, he notices a street like he has never seen before. They stand at the bottom as the trees sway in the gentle wind.

Someone rides by on a bike; they wave, Kagome waves back.

He has seen a bike before, hers. And odd contraption that made sense to him. He paid little mind to the human on it. The something ever weirder passed by, and he stepped back.

"Its called a car, it's like a wagon but um, faster and mechanical," She watches his face "Come on, there is more you need to see,"

He follows without a word,

"The city is farther, but I think you will get the idea,"

Soon he sees houses like her, building, more humans, more bikes more of the car things. Things that dont make sense. This is the future. Kagome waits and keeps walking. They walk a good half mile before he stops.

Though human, he takes in everything, "Where are the demons?" He didn't need to be able to sense them to tell; he had eyes. That's what she was waiting for.

"Sesshomaru," She said slowly "There aren't any,"

His eyes slowly move to her,

"None, Iv looked, searched, pushed out my power to call, nothing,"

No demons? How was that even possible? How, how could none be here.

"This is five hundred years from your time Sesshomaru, a long time,"

Not to him, it wasn't!

Why was she showing him this? Did this mean he never became a demon again? Did this mean in her time he was dead? It had to be because two souls could not be at the same time, that he knew that was just the law of life. Kagome looked at him "Are you ok?"

He looked pale, but she was sure he didn't know it.

"Sesshomaru, say something,"

He looks at her but says nothing, and so she touched his arm. "Please say something,"

"Why do you show me this?"

"I think what she did was slightly unfair to you; I figure knowledge may be the best power you have right now plus I wanted to show you that human are not all bad,"

He knew they were not all bad,

"What knowledge is this?"

"You dont see, dont understand?"

He for once didn't.

"There are no demons," She said again, slowly, "None, not even you."

His lips parted as her words hit him like a sword to the head.

"Dont you see, you didn't turn back, you stayed human,"

He was silent again unable to really comprehend what she was saying,

"You didn't know about this, but even so I dont think you would have died, if demons started dying off you would not have taken an unnecessary risk you would have lived, mated, produce offspring,"

Done anything to stay alive and keep his bloodline.

"You are hell-bent on not tainting your bloodline, but I think you dad knew something, knew this future maybe," She spoke softly "He was just trying to protect you,"

Sesshomaru snorted,

"I think this is just another lesson Sesshomaru, and I'm just here to give you an advantage to the game she has set to the lesson he is still trying to teach you from the grave,"

"This is not a game," He said stern,

"No, it's not, and there are no shortcuts. You wanted a Miko's help, well here it is, hating something is easy Sesshomaru, and no one said this would be easy," She turned to go back "In fact, id say it was so hard that you failed and died,"

"Why are you telling me this,"

"Because believe it or not, I care about you, about all my friend and I believe in a future that has both demons and humans, this time does not make me happy even though it is mine," It didnt feel like hers. She didn't believe she was sent to the past to protect it; she believes she was sent to the past to change it. She met Inuyasha to free him, met Sesshomaru to help him. Met Naraku to kill him, and now here she was with the past in the future, and she now had no doubt that this was how it was supposed to be.

Perhaps his father knew a lot more because there was a reason Sesshomaru was allowed through that well.
