First of all, finally Riley and Ellie are together, so that happened. I liked writing that. I just thought it was cute. Anyway, guys, this is the last chapter. Thank you so much for sticking with me. It's been a long run, and it's finally finished. I hope you like the last chapter!

Ben went to Boston, the FBI took the rest of our statements, and then they dropped us off back at our respective homes. Not five minutes later after arriving at my apartment, the buzzer rang.

"It's me, open up," said Riley.

I buzzed him up and cracked the door open.

"Didn't you go home?"

"Yes, and I packed a bag, cause I'm staying here tonight."

"Well that's a little forward, don't you think?"

He shrugged and dropped his bag on my couch.

"Let's get takeout."

We enjoyed takeout and a movie, snuggled up on my couch, where we both fell asleep. I woke up to a text from Ben saying they got Ian. I smiled, everything was looking up.

A few months later

After finding the treasure, we did a lot of interviews and exhibit openings. Ben and I decided that we would only take 1% of the treasure. It wasn't our treasure, sure we had found it, but it belonged to everyone. So the four of us split 1%, which was quite a lot. Ben and Abigail bought a house, Riley bought a Ferrari, and I moved out of my dinky apartment, into a townhouse that Riley and I shared. I saved the rest of the money. I had a feeling I would need it for something one day.

Riley and I were at Ben and Abigail's new home, spending the day with them. Riley got a call from our manager, I guess you could say.

"You got it chief. Bye."

Riley closed his phone.

"They want us in Cairo next week for the opening of the exhibit. They're sending a private jet."

"That's fun," said Abigail.

"Yeah, big whoop. You could have had a whole fleet of private jets. 10% Ben, they offered you 10% and you turned them down," Riley complained.

I just rolled my eyes at him. I heard him complain about this all the time.

"Riley, we've been over this. It was too much, I couldn't accept that. And neither could Ellie," replied Ben.

"I actually still have this splinter that's been festering for three months from an old piece of wood," he said.

"I offered to remove it for you!" I said.

"But it would hurt," Riley replied.

"Riley, I'll tell you what. Next time we find a treasure that redefines history for all of mankind, you make the call on the finder's fee."

"That's funny. What do you care, you got the girl," he said.

"That's true," Ben and Abigail replied.

I however, smacked his arm.

"Hey! What am I? A toad?"

"Sorry honey," he replied sheepishly.

He held his hand out to me, and I rolled my eyes, but I took it.

"Enjoy your spoils," he said as we walked towards his car.

"While Ellie and I sit on 1%. Half of one percent actually," he said.

As he said this, he hopped into his nice, new Ferrari. I climbed in behind him.

"I'm sorry for your suffering Riley," said Ben.

I laughed.

"For the record, Ben, I like the house."

"You know, I chose this estate because in 1812, Charles Carol met…"

Ben never finished explaining.

"Met someone and did something in history and had fun. It was great. Could've had a bigger house," Riley said as he pulled down the driveway.

The last thing they heard as we drove away was me, "Riley, are you sure you can drive this thing?"

We pulled out onto the road and he started driving towards our townhouse. He took my hand in one of his.

"I'm sorry, honey. I didn't mean that comment I said about Ben getting the girl. I was just joking. You are much more my type than Abigail. I definitely got the better girl."

I looked at him and smiled.

"I know Riley."

"I'm serious Ellie, I love you."

I felt my eyes widen ridiculously, and I think my mouth hit the floor of the car. Thank goodness we were parking in front of our house. He took the keys out of the ignition, but he didn't get out. He just turned to look at me. I realised that he was waiting for me to say it back or something, and the silence wasn't helping. I unbuckled and climbed over the center console so that I was straddling his lap. I let my lips hover over his just long enough so I could say, "I love you too, Riley," before I kissed him.

It may have only been three months that we'd been dating, but I knew that I loved him.

I pulled away and grinned at him.

"Catch me if you can, treasure hunter!"

I scrambled off of him and out of the car, snatching the keys as I went. I ran into the house, giggling, hearing him follow behind me. I had just made it to the door of our bedroom when I felt a pair of arms snake around my waist.

"Got you," he said as he kissed my shoulder.

I turned around in his arms and kissed him.

"You got me. I think you deserve a reward."

He grinned when he caught my meaning.

"You are so much better than 1%."

AHHHHH it's finished! Finally! I'm so sorry it took so long, like really sorry. But it is finally finished, and I like how it turned out. I will have to go back and edit it eventually. I'm not going to say I'll do the sequel, only because I really don't know if that will happen. And if it does, I won't start posting until I'm halfway done with the writing. Just so that this doesn't happen again.

I want to thank everyone who has favourited and followed this story. Thank you to all those who stuck with it til the end. You guys are the best.
