A request from Crazyfeatherhead the amazing beta of my work. My very evil fukutaichou for making me do such a short scene… so you best appreciate this! This was hard! Though I did have to ask it be 600 words max instead of 500 as was my challenge. But she was nice and allowed me some leeway. ^.^

This took me just over an hour to do, while on facebook chat. So I was writing for about an hour I guess.

It was late in the evening now, and Aizen was on his way to the third division to get a document signed. It had been delivered to him earlier but unfortunately, Gin hadn't signed it. Because, well, he was lazy and didn't really do much of anything, never mind the paperwork.

But still Aizen had to get the form signed anyway. So he had to go. He had expected to find Gin actually working the hours he was supposed to, but he soon realised that the captain of the third division to be long gone, probably out drinking somewhere. Or sleeping.

Aizen suspected the latter, because the light was turned off. He thought he saw someone at the desk still, so he turned the light on. It turned out the sleeping form slumped over the desk was Kira.

"Izuru-kun…" he said quietly, trying to wake the sleeping shinigami. "Are you awake?"

He thought he heard Izuru murmur something, and then Aizen realised that he was still asleep. He shook the boys shoulder gently in attempt to wake him up.

"Kira-kun? Wake up Kira-kun…"

Kira groaned, but he was in too deep a sleep to be woken up. Izuru wasn't a heavy sleeper, but when he slept, boy did he sleep deeply. Snoring like what could only be described as a bear. And Aizen could hardly believe that somebody so quiet during the day could snore this loudly at night.

"Still asleep." Aizen said quietly to himself, not wishing to wake the younger one from his sleep prematurely. "I'll come back later. You sleep for now."

"Mmmeeergggh… Sousuke… I need to... talk to you for a moment…"

"Kira? Are you awake?" Aizen then asked, having being on his way out when he had heard Kira calling out to him.

"I ha- have something to tell you…" he said quietly, still in a state of deep sleep.

Now Aizen was intrigued, he was sure Kira was asleep because he had tried to wake him up earlier and yet failed, but still he was intrigued in what Kira was dreaming about. Or rather, why he was in Kira Izuru's dream.

I mean, why would anybody dream abut Aizen? It's not like he was all that important, or so Aizen thought. So one could see why Aizen is intrigued. It is not often he catches somebody dreaming about him after all, much less often he hears somebody talking to him directly in their sleep.

He stepped closer towards Izuru, trying to keep as quiet as possible. Just in case he mistakenly woke Kira up and then he would never find out what Izuru wanted to say. After all, it is said that often peoples deepest desires are shown through their dreams. And this was probably going to be no exception. So naturally, Aizen is curious about what Kira is dreaming of.

And why exactly he is dreaming about Aizen Sousuke.

Aizen got steadily closer and closer to the sleeping Izuru, but not touching him.

"Yes… Izuru?" he said softly, playing along into the younger shinigami's dream world.

"Sousuke...daisuki...desu.."

Aizen stood there for a moment, undoubtedly shocked. But nonetheless his smile did return again soon after that. Somewhat softer than before. He smiled to himself and shook his head slightly.

"Oh Izuru…" he sighed, oddly content with himself now. bending down next to the sleeping Kira and looking intently at him. Giving him a small kiss on the cheek.

"I like you too."
