Summary: Sometimes not everything you hear is what it seems.

*^^*

"Are you capable of talking about anything besides food, monkey boy?!" Gojyo growled to Goku as they walked up the stairs.

"What about you with your constant chatter about women, perverted water sprite!"

"Why you-!" The two continued to bicker until they made it to the door. Goku was about to launch a flurry of insults but was stopped short as a loud grunt came through the door of Sanzo and Hakkai's room.

"Hurry up, dammit!"

"Demo, Sanzo, its just way too hard to stick it in!"

"I don't care, JUST. DO. IT!" Sanzo barked. Gojyo and Goku jumped outside the door in surprise.

The two demons looked at each other, identical dumbstruck expressions on their faces.

"You mean…!"

Gojyo almost got his head chopped off by Goku's arm as they scrambled to press their ears up against the door.

The sound of wood scraping against the floor intermingled with Hakkai's grunts of exertion.

I never imagined that Sanzo-houshi-sama would be into THAT. The hanyou grinned like a maniac. Sanzo would never be able to boss him around EVER again!

Goku looked ready to pass out. "Are they-"

"Sshhh!!"

They heard Sanzo gasp, "I don't think it will fit, Hakkai."

Goku promptly gave himself a nosebleed. Gojyo's grin widened.

They heard the brunette laugh, "Come now, Sanzo. I can almost get it in. You were the one who started this, just let me finish and trust me, you'll feel great."

They heard Sanzo mutter an agreement and as Gojyo tried to angle his eye into the keyhole for a complete show, Goku grabbed him by the hair and started to pull him away.

"Damn you, stupid monkey! We were almost at the good part!" The hanyou kept on protesting as he was dragged away by a furiously blushing and nose bleeding Goku.

"Ne, did you hear a noise?" Hakkai asked as Sanzo's foot finally went into the new pair of boots. "There! A perfect fit, aren't they?"

"Tch'. The leather's too damn hard." Sanzo rotated his ankle a few times to test the fit. It did feel great on his feet, although getting them on was a challenge.

Hakkai smiled. "Don't worry, Sanzo. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it."
