"Ezio..I don't know if I feel safe up here." Leonardo closed his eyes and took a deep breath. People may have referred to him as a jack of all trades but he was not used to these heights and he was not sure that he ever would be able to get used to it.
"Don't worry I wont let you fall." Ezio's voice floated into his ear and Leonardo had to suppress the shudder that wanted to race up his spine. Any sudden movement and he was sure that they were both going to tumble to their deaths even though he knew that Ezio was the best at what he did.
"I--have no fear of that I assure you Ezio. It's just my own clumsiness." Leonardo took a deep breath and tried to recompose himself. It hadn't been like this before…when he has leant Ezio his flying machine but maybe that was because he had been focused on other things then.
"Non sia impaurito." Another whisper into his ear and this time Leonardo felt like his legs were going to turn to jelly as he grabbed Ezio's arm for security. Which turned out to not be the best thing for his stability as his fingers gripped the other mans well muscled arm. "Just focus on the view, not how high up we are." There was a smirk in Ezio's voice, like he could just feel the tension in Leonardo's body. But despite that, he managed to draw his eyes up from his feet where they had been stuck to the truly breathtaking view of Venezia that these types of heights granted.
"Magnifico." He breathed out the fear slipping away for a moment as wonder took its place.
"Isn't it?" The assassin curled his fingers in Leonardo's now and the artist gasped as he could feel Ezio's armor dig into his back slightly. "Ma bello quanto voi." Somehow the sky and the buildings seemed to fade out against the feeling of his lover pressed against him and the tingle of warmth in his stomach at the words that had just been said.
"I--" Before Leonardo could get the rest of the words out Ezio's arms were wrapped tightly around him and he was lost in the crush of slightly chapped lips against his own. The feeling was exquisite but as quick as it came it was gone. His eyes fluttered open slightly to see Ezio's handsome face and those eyes that had just a hint of mischief in them.
Leonardo swallowed hard when he realized that Ezio had them turned around now and the creak of the wood plank they were standing on reverberated in his ears. "What are you doing Ezio?" He tried to suppress the panic he was feeling but it failed miserably.
"You said yourself that you were being stifled by your workshop. That you needed something to get your inspiration flowing again."
"I assure you Ezio this is not going to help! It is only a temporary block..nothing that will be solved by something like this." Leonardo pleaded but Ezio only inched back more.
"Selo fidi di appena." Ezio tightened his grip on Leonardo now as he pushed forward and fell, the wind rushing past them as he held onto his lover for dear life. The artists head was buried on Ezio's shoulder and only took a deep gasping breath of air when the scratchy pile of hay cushioned them. Leonardo's first reaction was to get to his feet but he found that he couldn't uncurl his arms from around Ezio's neck. The hay smelled dry but his friends body on top of him seemed to smother all the other emotions that were racing through him.
"Ezio I--" Again he was without words, the rush he had felt during the fall still making his heart beat heavy in his chest and looking up at the assassin didn't help the feeling at all.
"Shh. There is no need for words Leonardo. Just breath."
