DW: hey yal! sorry ive been busy with and everything

Well! :') this is it you guys! After a long 40 odd chapters and almost six hundred reviews! This is the final chapter of Death Note!

I've had a blast writing it and have enjoyed everyone of my reviewers!

Now here is the bittersweet ending..

Duncan stared at Felicia in confusion. He had forgotten all about Courtney. The woman he also loved and cared for, the mother of his child.

Felicia repeated herself, "Who do you want to spend eternity with, Duncan? Me? or Courtney?"

"How could you ask me to choose something like that?" Duncan asked in disbelief. Felicia crossed her arms and rolled her eyes, "Simple. I've been watching you and Courtney go from being worst enemies to a loving couple that would do anything for each other!"

Felicia stepped closer and touched his arm, "But, watching you and her has killed me because I was wishing so bad for that to be me."

Duncan shook his head, trying to make sense of it all. He had been waiting for Felicia for years to come back to him. However, he never expected to fall in love with Courtney. Gwen returned then, this time with Mother.

In the midst of all the excitement, Duncan had forgotten Mother was still locked in the cell. Her eyes were ablaze and he mouth was set in tight lipped frown as she stormed over to her son.

Duncan smirked, "Mother! I was hoping with all the chaos, you might have found your way sucked up with Life". Mother walked over to her son and glared at him. Without so much of a blink, Duncan suddenly felt a hard stinging feeling on the side of his cheek where his Mother had slapped him.

"Good to see things going back to normal!" Gwen said, smiling.

Rubbing his cheek, Duncan turned his attention back to Felicia. "Perhaps we should speak in private?" he suggested. Felicia nodded in agreement and took his hand as she began guiding him away from Gwen and Mother. She took Duncan up the steps,, they walked silently side by side.

"Where are we going?" Duncan asked.

Felicia pursed her lips, "To her body. Courtney's body."

"Why?"

Felicia stopped in front of the door and placed her hand on the door knob. "Before, Gwen thought she could conjure up a spell to bring Courtney back to life. However, what she did not know was that I used that spell to break free from the small fur ball I once was."

Duncan was puzzled, "I still don't understand".

Opening the door and stepping into the dimly lit room, Felicia turned to Duncan and said, "I am the key to bringing her back. Giving up my soul, Courtney can have it and she will live once again."

"What about you?"

"There is only one soul and two bodies."

Duncan stared down at the lifeless body of Courtney. In those brief moments, all their memories came rushing back to him. The first time they met, when she lost at skull and bones, their first kiss, the first time they had sex, and most importantly, Pandora. He stroked her cheek and sighed deeply.

Then there was Felicia. The first real love of his life, the person whom he thought saved his life. After years of searching for a way to bring her back to him, she had always been so close, yet so far away.

A tear was daring to fall from the brim of his eyelids and Duncan shut his eyes tight, cursing the tears. He felt Felicia's small hand on his back as she rested her head on his shoulder. Turning around to her, Duncan cupped Felicia's face in his large hands.

Tear were rolling down her eyes but they still found a way to shine brighter than ever. Duncan leaned down and kissed Felicia gently. Pulling apart Duncan wiped the tears from her face. Felicia whispered, "So what shall it be?"

Duncan sighed, making the hardest decision between two women that he loved with all of his heart. "Thank you for saving me, but now I'm going to save you.."

"What does that mean?"

"It means, I could never be truly committed to you. When I look into Pandora's eyes every morning, I would only see Courtney. I just...love her more."

Tears brimming on the edge, Felicia smiled and let go of Duncan's hands. "I knew that. You just needed to say it for yourself." Kissing him on the cheek, she whispered in his ear, "Goodbye, Duncan".

A bright light flashed before Duncan's eyes and he could feel Felicia slipping away from him. The light was so bright, Gwen and Mother came to see what the comotion had been about. Within seconds, the light disappeared and Felicia was gone.

Courtney's finger twitched and her brow furrowed. Duncan knelt down beside the bed and whispered Courtney's name. "Hey Princess, are you there?"

Courtney stirred and mumbled something.

"What was that?"

"I said..stop crying you pansy!"

"I think she's back!" Gwen chuckled from the doorway.

Courtney's eyes opened and the first thing she saw was Duncan. She breathed a sigh of relief as she shot up and embraced Duncan in her arms. "Did I miss all the action?" she asked between tears.

"Yeah, princess. You missed everything!" Sliding his hand down past her waist, Duncan whispered, "But I can renact it all in bed tonight".

Courtney pushed him away, " I didn't miss that much! You're still a filthy pig!"

They laughed together and shared a kiss. It was the first time Duncan felt at peace and things were in place.

"Mommy!" Pandora shrieked flying into the room.

Pandora landed right in between her parents. Gwen and Mother came to join the family. Duncan kissed Courtney on the forehead as they snuggled closer into each other.

"What's that in your hand, Pandie?" Courtney asked, noticing something brown and furry.

Pandora giggled and open her small fist to reveal a tiny ball of fur. The ball moved and rolled over into Pandora's lap. Opening it's large eyes, everyone saw that it was a baby girl gremlin.

"Where did you get that?!" Duncan gasped.

Pandora just giggled and caressed the baby. "Keep it?" she asked, looking at the parents for approval.

Courtney and Duncan looked at each other and both smiled in agreement. "Of course!" Duncan scooped the baby in his large palm and smiled. "I need to start rebuilding my empire."

"What are you going to call her Pandora?" Gwen asked.

Smiling a toothy grin she replied,

"Felicia".
