hey guys! this is a christmas one-shot. i don't really like it but i couldn't get it out of my head. enjoy. :)

It was 6pm on Christmas Eve and most people could be found heading home to their families, or doing some last minute shopping. A certain pinkette however, could be found walking through the halls of the Easter building. She was on her way to visit her husband. She stopped outside a pairs of oak double doors. She knocked twice before walking into the secretary's office. She looked around and found a young blonde packing away.

"Hey, Kyoko."

"Amu-chan! I'm afraid Ikuto-san is in a meeting right now."

"That's fine, I'll just wait in his office."

"But it could go on for hours!"

"I know." She smiled warmly and headed into her husband's office. She placed the bento she made on the desk and took a seat in the chair behind his desk. Ikuto had been pretty busy lately and had spent most nights in the office, so Amu barely got to see him. She was beginning to get lonely. She sat, lost in her thoughts, listening to the rhythmic ticking of the clock.

Ikuto hurried through the empty hallways. It was well past midnight and he had just spent over six hours in some pointless meeting. Six hours he could have spent working. Looks like he wasn't getting home tonight. He hated this. He had a huge presentation coming up and he was completely swamped with work. He'd been working day and night for the past three weeks preparing for it, often sleeping at the office. As a result, he had barely seen Amu at all, and now he was going to miss spending Christmas with her. He was amazed she put up with it, he'd have expected her to have left him by now. He couldn't wait to get this damn presentation over and done with, then he could finally spend some time with her.

He reached his office and walked in. He headed to his desk, but stopped half way. A small, loving smile graced his features as he stared at the sight in front of him. His strawberry was curled up behind his desk, fast asleep. He tiptoed over to her and brushed a few strands of hair out of her face, and caressed her cheek gently. He noticed her shiver slightly and went to get the blanket that Kyoko always left for him, noticing as he did so the bento on his desk. He lifted the pinkette off the chair and sat down with her on his lap, before wrapping the blanket around the two of them. He set to work, one hand supporting his wife, the other tapping away at the computer in front of him.

Tsukiyomi Aruto could be found stalking the halls of the Easter building. It was 10am and he was on his way to visit his son. He knew how hard he had been working lately, and that he'd barely seen his wife at all. He was planning to drop in to see how he was doing, and hopefully persuade him to take a day of and spend Christmas with Amu.

He walked into the office and smiled warmly at the sight that met his eyes. Behind the desk sat his son and daughter-in-law, snuggled together in his office chair, wrapped up in a blanket, fast asleep.
