~ Blind ~

I do not own the characters from the "Touhou Project".

Reisen Udongein Inaba was in Patchouli's library, brushing up on her magic skills. Dim candlelight was the only light source in the room, Reisen had to squint her crimson, red eyes to make out the words. Also because there was little illumination, she didn't see a shadowy figure advance towards her.

"Do you need anything this evening Reisen-chan?" Sakuya, the silver haired maid, asked, approaching her. Reisen jumped out of her seat suddenly at the interruption.

"Eiy! Sakuya you scared me!" Reisen mummbled. Sakuya chuckled softly.

"Forgive me, I didn't mean to." She offered the Moon Rabbit a hand, attempting to help her up. Reisen smiled meekly, and accepted the extended hand.

"Thank you..." Reisen whispered, blushing a light pink. Sakuya nodded.

"Of course, now do you need anything or shall I leave?" Sakuya sounded impatient, of course it was probably because she had other residents to attend to, the Scarlet Devil Mansion was especially busy today.

"Well....You could get me a lantern...I can barely read this." Reisen gestured towards A Book of Spells book, sitting in her lap.

"Yes miss." Sakuya bowed, and hurried away. A short time later, Sakuya returned with Reisen's requested item. The dark area seemed to affect everyone, Sakuya was no exception. When she came back with the lantern, she tripped over a stack of forgotten books, some other reader must've left, and landed on top of Reisen.

"Sa...Sakuya?!!" Reisen was blushing madly, and squriming away quickly from the platinum haired maid. A similar blush appeared on Sakuya's face. Never once had she been in love, or even had much physical contact with anyone. But just two seconds ago she was just sprawled on top of some random girl, blushing like crazy, still blushing like crazy actually.

"I apologize Reisen-chan, it was an accident!" Sakuya dusted herself off before helping Reisen up.

"Its okay, at least you brought the lanter--ohh..." The lantern beside them had been shattered from the impact. Reisen sighed sadly, and picked her book up from the floor. "Its alright, I'll just reside in my room for the rest of the night." She walked past Sakuya, and was out the library in no time. Sakuya felt sorta sad seeing her leave, but why? She felt like the rabbit girl had just tugged on her heartstrings....--

"Oh maiidddd!!!" A blond male called. Sakuya shook away the feeling, and went over to the man.

"Yes, may I help you?"

Reisen closed her book shut. She felt satisfied, as she laid back in her bed. She was almost relaxed when she heard an abrupt knocking at her door.

"Who is it?" Shouted Reisen.

"Maid service." The voice announced. Reisen got up, and opened the door revealing Sakuya standing in the doorway.

"Sorry to bother you, just here to make up the bed." Reisen nodded, side-stepping to let her in. Sakuya began stripping the bed of the sheets, and exchanged the pillow cases with fresh ones. Reisen waited patiently in the corner, giving her a clear view of the maid. She wouldn't say out out loud, but Sakuya, to her, was very pretty, with her choppy, silver hair, and her eyes, Reisen could get lost looking into Sakuya's deep, blue eyes. Sakuya turned around, and gave Reisen a small smile.

"I'm finished, so..."

"Wait! I mean..." Reisen fiddled with her fingers. Sakuya's smile became that of a half one, almost like a smirk. She walked up to the pale, purple haired girl, and kissed her quickly on the cheek.

"I'll return later to check up on you." Sakuya waved goodbye, and walked out of the room, taking Reisen's bed sheets with her. Reisen smiled inwardly, who would've thought she had fallen this hard, for Sakuya....

'Maybe I should read in the dark more often' Reisen grinned.
