A mother, and a son, and all the lies inbetween.

All he does is smile and say, "Mother!" He hugs her around the middle, this thin, fragile woman with golden hair and a lonely heart.

"...Ys?" she asks, as if she can't believe. Seeking someone else; this body doesn't have a name.

Sharem pulls back and stares into his eyes; he's smiling still, answers, "Yes. You're my mom, right?"

She returns his smile and nods. It was decided; he was hers, she was his, and his father would suffer for what he had done.

Actors on a well lit stage, going through the motions of a play unrehearsed. What a way to start a life; what a time this would be. He'd never had a woman so willing to play 'mom'.
