"Hey, Sonny" I heard Chad say as I was walking from my car to the Random set.
"Hi, Chad." I said not stopping.
"I heard you as you came in, your brakes are screwed up." I stopped to look behind me at him for a second before continuing to walk down through the door.
"I know they are, I'm gonna work on them Friday." He laughed as he caught up with me.
"You're gonna do it?" I felt anger at his condescending tone.
"Yeah, why is that funny?"
"Because you're a girl, fixing stuff is for guys." He said sounding surprised I asked.
"So because I'm a girl I can't fix a car?" I asked making sure that's what he meant.
"Yeah, you see Sonny; there are men work and women work. Fixing a car is men's work so a woman can't do it."
"Do you know how to do the dishes, make food or change a diaper?" He looked at me shocked.
"No, of course not, that's women's work."
"Do you even know how to treat a woman right?" I asked bluntly.
"Do you want to come to my dressing room and I'll show you." He replied in a seductive voice.
"You know what, Chad, I think you're right there are different jobs that for men and women."
"Glad you could see it my way." He seemed proud. "Now why don't we go to my room?" He pointed in the opposite direction of where I was walking.
"The job of treating me right isn't a man's and even if it was it wouldn't be your job. It's a woman's job, as you put it." I started to walk away as he stood still with his mouth gaped open.
Finally, as I had almost turned the corner, he yelled, "Who's the woman?"
"Ask my roommate." I yelled back walking out of sight.
