(A/N) Ok, this takes place shortly after the events in Requim. I think Tony is a little quiet, but I tried to show he was still a bit freaked out by Gibbs' near death experience. I also wrote this in Gibbs' POV, and I'm not entirely sure how I did. With that said, I'd say that this is easily the best thing I've written for a while, and most likely the best fanfiction I've written. It is one in the morning though, so maybe I'm hallucinating. Either way, this is my baby right now, so don't make fun of it! And please please please review! I get so many hits but so few reviews! Oh, I don't own NCIS, but if I did I would have gotten Tony and Gibbs together so many times, the term "Tiva" wouldn't exist. Anyway, on to the slash!

"DiNozzo, with me," I bark, trying to fight the uncharacteristic nervousness at what I was about to do.

"Yes boss!"

I hear him jump up from his desk, and his footsteps follow me to the elevator. I can't understand why he listens to me so easily, when I almost never do anything for him. I didn't even thank him for pulling Maddie and I out of that damn car, saving both of our lives. But that was why we were currently standing in an elevator.

"What's up boss?"

He still sounds too damn eager. I slap the emergency stop switch, and sigh heavily.

"Boss?"

"I gotta say something DiNozzo. Tony."

"'Bout what?"

"About what happened at the docks. I never thanked you."

He looks uncomfortable all of the sudden.

"No biggie boss. Wasn't gonna let you..."

He froze, looking even more uncomfortable. He refuses to make eye contact now, and finds his shoes very interesting.

"Die?" I finished for him.

"Yeah," he breathed with a hitch in his voice.

"I'm ok Tony. Thanks to you."

"Gibbs..."

He sounds almost embarrased, and I could sort of understand why. My acknowledging of him doing a good job is pretty rare. He took a step closer, and now our fronts are almost touching. I don't step back. He doesn't look uncomfortable anymore, and finally looks me in the eyes. He looks scared. His arms come up, slowly, around my neck, and he pulls me into a hug. I freeze for a second, and cautiously put my arms around his torso. His arms tighten around my neck, and I pull him in closer. He's shaking now, and I rub soothing circles into his back.

"You weren't breathing Gibbs."

He sounds so horrified. He tucks his head into the crook of my neck, and it hits me. I feel a warmth course through me. "I"m sorry Tony."

"Sign of weakness."

"You deserve an apology."

He laughs, warm breath against my skin.

"Do not."

"Do so," I answered.

He gives a sort of strangled chuckle, and starts to pull away. He stops though, his face inches from mine. We both inhale suddenly, locking eyes. His arms are still around my neck, and mine are still tight around his waist. He leans closer, looking at my lips. Our eyes close, our lips meet. We're kissing gently, mouths barely open, and I can't help but smile. He pulls back, but only just.

"What's so funny?" he whispers, resting his cheek against mine.

My smile fades into a more serious look. "That's the second time you've put your lips on mine, and both times you've saved me."

He moves so he is gazing into my eyes.

"You're welcome," he finally says, and makes it three.
