Don't own anything.
They were sitting on her couch with Chinese takeout and a bottle of red wine when he asked the question, "Why did you cancel your date?"
She shrugged, "It wouldn't end well. So how did it feel to almost blow up?"
"It reminds you that you're alive. How was it dressing up and going undercover as a hacker?"
"It reminds you that guys will always stare at your chest. That is, if you have one of course."
He smirked, ""You got out of the second date."
"I did. Like I said, second dates don't end well. Besides, I was stuck with that for opening up to Nate about my dating life."
''You opened up to Nate? Maybe you should try going out on a second one."
"He's a physiologist. I thought he could help."
"Right. Where did you go the other night if you weren't out on your date?"
'Some place where I could try to forget you, not that it worked though.' She bit into her chicken, "A club. What do you mean I should try going out on a second date?"
He smiled, "Well, technically, you're on one right now. This is our second time eating together."
She shook her head, "We're friends so it doesn't count."
"What if I wanted to change that?"
The barely murmured question made her stare at him, "What are you saying?"
He met her eyes, "Awhile ago you said I was a good friend, well, what if I want to be more?"
"How serious you are G?"
"I'm dead serious Kensi."
She placed her container on the coffee table, "Okay. Where do we go from here? And don't say the bedroom."
That comment caused him to laugh, "I wasn't... At least not yet. How about we go on a date, and see where it goes from there?"
She stood up, "Depends on where you're taking me for a third date. Night."
When she walked past him, G's arms locked around her waist and he pulled her into his lap, "It isn't even nine, where were you going?"
She leaned back into him, "No where... I lied."
"About what?"
"Why I canceled my date." She turned so she was looking at him, "It wasn't because it wouldn't have ended well, it was because my feelings changed. I started to like you, and those feelings kept me..."
He bent down and cut her off with a kiss, "I don't care."
"Will you stay with me tonight?"
He raised his eyebrows, "Feeling lucky Kensi?"
She lightly swatted him, "No. It's been a hard few days, it be nice to have someone to hold onto tonight."
"Sure. I'll stay."
"Thanks G, now are we going to finish our food?"

"I was jealous of that hacker kid."
Kensi turned away from the sink, "Seriously?"
He nodded, "Yeah, I wanted to be on the date with you."
She smiled and leaned over to place a light kiss on his lips, "If it helps, I wanted you to be my date, not as my back up with Sam and Dom.''
"Good. You want some help with the dishes?"
"Sure. Can you dry?"
He stood up, "I can." He grinned when he saw her try to hide the yawn, "Go get ready for bed, I'll be along in a minute."
"Okay. See you in a bit."
She was in bed half-asleep when he crawled in beside her, "You still awake?"
"I'm here."
He wrapped his arms around her, and moved closer, "Kay. Night Kensi."
"Night G."
Both of them fell asleep within minutes and this time, there would be no awkwardness when they woke up.
