DMD-001 had finally closed in on his target. Inside that run-down apartment before him was BK-201 and his Doll. The contractor confidently strode to the door and opened it using the key he had stolen from the landlord.

Sitting at a table with her hand in a bowl of water was a silver-haired young woman with pink eyes. DMD-001 knew this one to be the Doll. However, the true target was nowhere to be seen.

"Scream and you die, understand?" the contractor said as he stood over her. He had never heard of a Doll screaming before, but he figured it couldn't hurt to be sure.

When the Doll nodded, he continued. "Good. Now, tell me where BK-201 is and I'll let you live, okay? Disposing bodies is hard work, and I'd rather not have to deal with two."

The Doll pointed towards a certain room. "Bathroom. But you really shouldn't go in there right now."

"Thanks for the advice, but I think I'll be fine. Now sit tight, or I'll have to hurt you."

Yin listened as the assassin slowly tiptoed towards the door, and then burst into the room. What followed was exactly what she expected.

"All right, BK-201, I've fou-What the fuck?! Is that an…An observer spirit?! Why does it look like that Doll? And what are you…Oh my Go-"

Yin heard the sound of the knife whistling through the air even before it hit its target.

K-THLUK!

"Some privacy, please?" came Hei's voice as the assassin staggered backwards out of the bathroom. One electrical discharge later, the man was dead on the floor.

"All right, all right. You were right," Hei said. "It worked, just like you said it would."

"I told you."

"So, are you coming or not? I'm waiting, and so is…Um, you," Hei said, his voice indicating confusion as to how to describe the situation.

"Yes."

As Yin stood and made her way over to the bathroom, she managed to curve her lips upward into an amused smile. After all, how many couples could say they had a threesome with only two people?

Author's Note: There are just so many potential implications for a humanoid observer spirit that can interact with physical objects. For example, the word "self-stimulation" takes on a whole new meaning (and would that be lesbianism? Incest? Spirit-o-philia?). For a real mind-twister, ponder this: If Yin has never had sex, and Hei sleeps with her observer spirit, is Yin still a virgin?
