AUTHOR'S NOTE - Hey, hey. Here's me again. Who would've thought college can take so much of your time? Well, not me, obviously!! Anywho, as I was reading 'Paris Nights' by madame alexandra (there's a dot between, but it won't let me publish it), this sort of just popped up in my mind. It can be read as stand-alone, but I do strongly recommend to go read the story, if you're not following it already. Seriously, the girl is a genius.
SPECIAL THANKS - to madame alexanda (again the dot), of course, for letting me borrow a piece of her story. One again - go read the story. Seriously. lol
DISCLAIMER - Nope. Nothing yet. Na-a.
ENJOY!!
I Love You
The first time he said 'I love you' to her was in the rush of the moment, when he thought he might lose her forever. He just spat it out, not even thinking about it, just needing it to be said. He wasn't even sure she heard him. It, however, made her breath catch even in the state she was in. His point blank confession.
He had no idea how it had affected her.
The second time he said 'I love you' to her was in the silence of his basement, when it was just the two of them. Washed out by the previous events. Washed out by guilt. And love, apparently. It took him a lot of gut to tell her that. She gasped for breath under the weight his words brought with them.
He had no idea how it had affected her.
The third time he said 'I love you' to her was the moment she came apart in front of him. He looked deep into her eyes before voicing his feelings. This time he felt the words coming out naturally, on their own. She cried out and then muttered something in his shoulder. Little did he know she was confessing the same feelings.
He had no idea how it had affected her.
The fourth time he said 'I love you' to her was when he woke up and found her side of the bad empty and cold. A small envelope lying on her pillow. He whispered the words to the darkness of the room, crushing the paper and throwing it as far away as possible. Only to pick it up, read it again and fold it neatly, putting it to his pocket.
She had no idea how she made him feel.
