Chapter 17

"Truth or Consequences"

Terra watched Ventus follow Axel to the wall where the brackets were posted. He'd stayed far enough behind that Axel wouldn't notice him in the crowd. And as Axel studied the brackets Ven studied him. Terra's anger grew with each passing minute. He watched as Ven moved in closer and stood only a few feet behind that piece of shit, waiting for him to turn around. Wanting to hear what would be said Terra chanced moving in a little closer. He managed to get to a column that was near the two and ducked behind it. Axel turned around and froze when he saw Ventus.

"Interesting how your current boyfriend happens to look exactly like me. What do you suppose that means, huh?" Ventus hissed out.

Terra's anger toward Ven renewed and his jealousy of Axel increased tenfold. His hands balled into fists as he fought to stay where he was.

Axel started to walk away without saying anything, but of course being the bastard he was he had to get the last word in. He stopped and turned and the cruelty in the look he gave Ven was so deep that it cut through Terra. He could only imagine how it felt to Ven.

"Roxas may look like you but his eyes are soft and loving and his heart is huge and generous. He is everything you failed to be and more. You aren't even in the same hemisphere." then he walked away, smiling.

Terra watched the rage form on Ventus' face and he heard him whisper. "Roxas is mine next week," as he watched Axel walk away.

Terra's hatred for Axel went off the scales. Roxas may be yours but Axel's mine. Terra thought as he followed Ventus with a new determination. He would have all of Ven's heart. Second place wasn't good enough for him, not anymore. He loved the man too much to settle for anything less. The only way that would happen is if Axel was gone for good.

Axel shook off the last of the anger the confrontation with Ven had brought on then went back into the gym. As he made his way to everyone he searched for Zexion's and Roxas' first opponents. He spotted the first guy only 10 feet from where they were warming up. The guy looked like he had improved since the last tournament Axel had seen him in but he would still be no match for Roxas, Axel grinned.

Zexy's guy was on the other side of the gym. It looked like he'd bulked up a little since the last time Axel had seen him. He stopped and watched the guy spar with a team mate. He was good. His moves were precise and executed quickly. Zexy would have a tougher time with him but Axel was confident he'd be able to beat him. He continued on his way to the others watching several new faces to size up the new talent and by the time he made his way to the guys he had no doubt both Roxas and Zexy would place today.

Riku spotted Axel working his way toward them and followed his line of sight as he watched a few competitors. He assumed the two the guys would be up against were in the gym but it was hard to tell exactly who Axel was looking at so he went back to coaching the Zexion and Roxas as they sparred with each other to loosen up. Axel walked up to him grinning.

"That good huh?"

"Yeah that good. Roxas is up against Steve Turk and Zexy has Mitch Goodman." Axel answered.

Riku immediately scanned the room and found each one. He did as Axel had done, and just like Axel, was grinning when he'd finished watching them. "We know their first matches will go well."

"Yep." Axel agreed.

Zexy landed a side kick that Roxas dodged easily. Then he spotted Axel and Zexy's next kick connected knocking him on his ass. "Dammit!"

"Can't let your self be distracted by sexy redheads, it could cost you the match." Zexy teased.

"Fuck you." Roxy shot back grinning as Zexy helped him up and they walked up to Axel and Riku.

"So what's the verdict? Will we survive our first ever matches?" Roxas asked.

Axel motioned toward a very anxious looking Sora and Demyx. "Maybe we should include them in this conversation."

Roxas grinned. "See it's stuff like that that makes me love you so much."

Axel returned his grin and they went over to the two guys this day was really about.

"So, what's the verdict? Will they survive their first ever matches?" Sora asked.

Roxas grinned and Riku and Axel just shook their heads.

"Freaky twin shit." Axel mumbled.

"What?" Sora asked confused.

"Nothing. Anyway, I'm sure both Roxas and Zexy will take their first matches." Axel offered. He touched the back of his hand to Zexy's bicep. "Zexy yours could be a little more work than Roxy's but I still have no doubt you'll win."

"Why will his be more work?" Demyx asked a little concerned.

"The guys got nearly 10" in height on Zexy and from what I've seen it looks like he's been working on his speed." Axel looked at Zexion. "He's fast but you're faster. You also think quick so I believe you'll be able to out maneuver him." He looked at Roxas. "Your guy is good but you're better."

"You have twice the power and speed of this guy Rox." Riku added.

Roxas smiled. "I like the sound of that. So can I play with him a bit? You know try some moves that I still need practice with?"

"No." Riku, Axel and Sora all said at once.

Roxas frowned, "Why the hell not if I'm better than he is?"

"Because it's your first competition," Axel growled.

Sora nodded, "Yeah."

"What does that have to do with it?"

"You've never competed. Can't you just get the feel for competition before you start hot dogging it?" Sora asked, frustrated.

Roxas looked from Sora to Axel then Riku who shrugged. "Fine," Roxas grumbled. "You guys take the fun out of it."

Axel put his arm around Roxas' shoulder. "I'll make it up to you tonight." He said grinning and Roxas rolled his eyes but couldn't help but grin back.

Zexion didn't seem to notice any of their exchange. "You guys are sure I can beat my opponent?" He asked as he scanned the room trying to figure out which one he was.

"Yeah, there is no doubt Zex. It won't be the cake walk Rox has but yes, you will win." Axel reaffirmed.

"Alright then, which one is he?" he asked as he scanned the room again.

Riku stood beside him and pointed the guy out. Zexy watched as he threw a front kick, triple punch combo then followed it immediately with a spinning back kick. Every one of them made solid contact and he was fast. He looked from Riku to Axel and back at the guy again. This time he threw multiple side kicks and followed them with a front snap kick. The speed and balance it took for that combo made it extremely difficult to pull off. He'd done it flawlessly.

Zexy looked at Demyx then who smiled up at him. "You've got this Zexy. He is good, but you're better." And to that Zexy smiled and squared his shoulders.

"You're right. I can handle him. I am faster aren't I?" He received five yesses as a response.

"Not only faster but as I said, you'll be able to out maneuver him." Axel added.

"So which guy am I fighting?" Roxas asked.

Axel showed him his opponent. "There, that one."

Roxas caught sight of him just as he took his sparring partner to the floor with a judo move that Axel had just shown Roxas a few days ago. He looked at Axel and a slow grin spread on his face. "This is going to be fun."

Axel grinned back. "Yes I believe you are going to have fun today. You could end up with a few bruises and sore muscles but I can take care of those for you tonight."

"Honestly, do you two ever turn it off?"

Demyx laughed, "I think its adorable Sora. I love seeing Axel smitten like this."

"I am not smitten."

Roxas looked at Demyx, "What does that even mean?"

Riku sighed, "Can we please concentrate on the tournament? Roxas, Zexion back on the mat. We still have ten minutes before the competition begins. Let's make use of the time."

Roxas gave him a salute, "Sir yes sir!"

"Just get on the mat." He ordered grinning. He looked at Axel. "It's a miracle you two haven't killed each other with the mouth's you both have."

Axel chuckled, "Oh I don't know. It sure felt like I'd died and gone to heaven last night by Roxas' mouth."

Riku smiled and shook his head, "When will I learn?"

Axel gave him a toothy grin. "Apparently never considering how long you've known me," he clapped his hands, "Okay Rox, try that combo you've been struggling with. Let's see if you can pull it off this time. After that Zex I want you to try the take down I showed you this week." For the next ten minutes Roxas and Zexion worked on their moves while Axel critiqued and Riku watched the competitors.

ooOOoo

Up in the bleachers, far enough back and with her hoodie pulled up so no one she knew would recognize her, Aqua watched. She hadn't worked out all of the details yet but she had a start to her plan. There was no doubt in her mind that Terra hated Axel. She also knew he wouldn't hesitate to hurt someone, like he did Demyx, but kill Axel? She just couldn't wrap her head around that idea and needed to get the answer, if not for Axel and Riku, then at least for herself. She needed to know that the guy she'd had a crush on in grade school wasn't the killer that these guys thought he was. She had to know her judgment wasn't so fucked up that she'd miss something that vital. She needed to talk to Terra. Looking behind her she spotted her guards. Having them with her did make her feel safer but she would have to lose them for a little while to be able to talk to Terra. There would be no way to explain her meeting with him before she had all of the information she was hoping to gather to present to Axel and Riku.

She pressed the tiny button on her ear piece. "I need to go to the bathroom."

"Go ahead, we'll follow." Terry answered immediately.

She truly owed Axel and Riku. She could not imagine having to go out alone right now. Being given personal guards was so beyond what she deserved. The regret was deep for her part in what happened to the men she watched. And she was humbled by their behavior toward her. That was why she had to find out the truth about who was trying to kill Axel or Riku or both. The danger to her was a small price to pay as far as she was concerned. Besides, it wasn't Terra she was afraid of, it was Ven. Aqua made her way down and out of the gym quickly checking over her shoulder on her way out to be sure no one noticed her.

Riku spotted one of the guards he knew was assigned to Aqua's detail and quickly scanned the gym for her. He couldn't see her but she had to be there if her guards were. A quick rush of adrenaline shot through him as his protectiveness kicked in but he shook it off. Her guards were with her, she would be fine. He had other things to concentrate on right now and needed to stay focused on getting Roxas and Zexion through today and prepared for next weekend. He turned his attention back to the mat in time to see Roxas pull off the combo he'd been struggling with for weeks.

"Nice job Rox." Axel said beaming. "You're getting pretty good at executing that combo but I would still prefer you only use it as a last resort." He added.

"Yeah, it really is an awesome combo but I agree with Axel. You should only use it as a last resort. At least until you've perfected it." Riku agreed.

"Thanks, I think." He grinned, "And yeah I know you guys don't want me to use it unless I have to."

Zexion put his hand up for Roxas to grab. "Well I'd prefer you stop using that damn thing on me. It takes the wind out of me and makes my fucking ribs ache for ten minutes."

"Just imagine if I followed up with a few more combos." He grinned.

"I wouldn't be standing right now if you did, I guarantee that." Zexy smiled back at him.

Before anyone had a chance to add to the conversation there was an announcement that the first matches would begin in five minutes in the main gym. The first match numbers were announced and Roxas' match was included.

Axel turned to him. "This is it Rox, ready to kick some ass?"

"Fuck yeah. Let's do this." Sora and Demyx joined them and as with everything else of late, they walked out of the gym as one.

Roxas' support for his first ever fight surrounded him as he walked into the gym where the competitive fighting would take place. The atmosphere was thick with excitement and Roxas was swept up into the fray quickly. His adrenaline kicked up as reality sunk in. Finally, all of his hard work and long hours of practice were going to be tried in real competition. His skill would be tested and he was beyond ready for it. True this wasn't the competition he had been training for but he welcomed the chance to fight someone other than his friends. Welcomed the opportunity to let go and not worry about hurting his opponent.

Axel led him to the table where his match would be held. There were three bouts ahead of his so he stretched and jogged slowly in place to warm up while he watched the other matches. He glanced over to the bleachers and spotted Sora, Demyx, and Zexion seated right behind them. Zexy's first match wouldn't be for at least thirty to forty five minutes. He heard his name announced and turned back to find Axel smiling at him.

"Come on Roxas, let's show them what you're made of."

Roxas smiled, "Let's."

He checked in and went to the center of the mat. The color band that would let the judges know who the referee was awarding points to or penalizing was on the floor. He picked it up and attached it to his arm. His heart was beating so hard it thundered in his ears but it wasn't fear. It was excitement. He looked around spotting Axel and Riku in his corner and nodded, telling them he was ready. He continued his scan and stopped at the table. His opponent was checking in and like Roxas, did not appear nervous. He looked like he was pumped and ready to battle. That was fine with Roxas because he was right there with him.

The guy turned around and smirked at Roxas as he approached center. The ref waited for him to put on his band. Once the guy was done he went down into his ready stance and Roxas followed suit.

"Fighters ready!" The referee shouted. He put his arm in the air and blew his whistle and dropped his arm, "Fight!"

The guy didn't attack but began a slow circle using side steps as he assessed Roxas. Roxas had watched him spar so had an idea what he would try first but if his opponent didn't move soon the ref would stop them and make them start at the center again and they'd both get warned for stalling. Just as Roxas was going to attack the guy threw a front snap kick that barely touched Roxas' knee then followed it with a punch combo to the solar plexus and chest. Roxas easily blocked both then executed a round house kick. It connected to the guys ribs knocking him off balance only slightly but Roxas quickly followed with a double punch to his already stinging ribs then a leg sweep that took him to the ground. He ended with his fist to his throat and stopped his attack as the ref blew his whistle.

The ref's wrist with Roxas' color went up in the air. The hand signals indicated three points; one for the takedown, one for the clean kick and one for the punch combo.

Roxas couldn't stop the grin when he heard Axel and the others cheering him on. His grin only grew when he saw the sneer on his opponents face. He returned to his ready stance as the guy got back to his feet, popping up quick. When they were face to face again the guy growled and Roxas chuckled, which of course, pissed him off even more than the unexpected take down.

"Ready, fight!" the ref shouted again.

This time the guy came at him like a bull and Roxas barely dodged the onslaught of kicks and punches. But, just as Riku had said, Roxas was better. He easily read every one of his opponent's attacks blocking and attacking back with the skill and grace of a seasoned fighter. After several series of combinations from both fighters Roxas finally attacked without mercy. He threw a spinning back kick connecting with the guy's kidney then a triple punch combo to his ribs and chest. Roxas saw the opportunity to throw him. He hooked his arm around the guy's neck and with a quick hook of his leg took him down to the mat. His opponent tapped out almost immediately.

The ref put up the arm with Roxas' colors again. Three more points for Rox with a minute and a half left to go in the match.

Roxas looked to the bleachers and spied Sora, Zexion, and Demyx whistling and cheering him on. Axel and Riku stood in his corner grinning in approval of his performance so far.

"Okay Roxas, let's finish this up. You've got this." He heard Axel yell.

Roxas nodded and returned to his ready stance. His opponent was seething. He must have assumed this would be an easy bout since Roxas was a first timer. Roxas grinned at the thought. The gestured made his opponent growl.

"You're mine."

Roxas grinned wider, "I don't think so."

"Fighters ready. Fight!"

Again the guy came at him like a bull. He was so pissed that his execution was getting sloppy as he let his emotions take over. Roxas let him continue his offensive attacks easily blocking everything the guy threw. He glanced at the time. Twenty five seconds left. Roxas blocked and countered to get the guy back where he wanted him. He managed to draw a round house from the guy and as soon as he threw it Roxas grabbed his leg and flipped him over then pinned him to the ground twisting his arm behind his back. He tapped out and the buzzer indicating the match was over sounded. His opponent swore under his breath and rolled to his back. Roxas put his hand out to help him up and the guy took it.

Once he was standing he slapped Roxas on the shoulder, "Nice match. You surprised me. Where the hell did you come from?"

"Traverse Town Flying Dragons." Roxas answered knowing that wasn't really what the guy meant.

The ref held up Roxas' arm to show he'd won the match. Roxas smiled as he noticed Sora, Zexy and Demyx standing, clapping and yelling. Axel and Riku were shaking his opponents hand as Rox headed to his corner to do the same with his coaches.

The first coach shook his hand. "Nice job out there."

"Thank you."

The second coach took his hand, "Any time you want to come to our dojo you're welcome. You're a hell of a fighter."

"Thanks, I appreciate that." Roxas replied beaming.

As he headed to Riku and Axel he crossed paths with his opponent again. "Maybe I'll see you again. You gonna be at the tournament next week?" He asked quietly. Being unsanctioned most of the refs and even the coaches didn't know about it.

"Yep, I'll be there."

The guy grinned, "Good I can't wait to see you fight there. I have a feeling watching you fight with no rules will be entertaining."

Roxas smiled and continued on to his coaches. His grin grew as he got closer and he saw the looks on Axel and Riku's faces. He jumped into Axel's arms but they didn't kiss. "I did good huh?"

Axel laughed, "You were fucking great!"

"You were even better than we thought Rox. Your execution and the way you read him was perfect! Great job."

Axel let him down. "Thanks guys. I owe it to my excellent trainers." He said with a toothy grin and turned in time to get an armful of Sora.

"Oh my god you were amazing!" he praised, hugging him.

Roxas hugged him back. "Thanks. It was fun actually."

Demyx and Zexion both gave him quick hugs. "I can't wait to get out there now." Zexion said as he hugged him. "It was really cool seeing you fight for real. I especially liked that it wasn't me you were knocking around this time." He added grinning.

Roxas laughed and patted him on the back. "I think yours is going to be more fun though. Your guy's tougher so you'll really get to show off your mad skills."

As if on cue Zexion's name and match number was called. Roxas grinned, "Looks like you're up." Zexy returned his grin and nodded.

ooOOoo

Ven watched from the middle of the bleachers as Roxas dominated his match. The guy he fought wasn't the best out there by a long shot but it should have been a closer match. Maybe he should have listened to Terra when he warned that these guys were better than average. Still, this one match didn't really prove much and besides, Ventus was way beyond Roxas' skill level. That he was sure of. There was no way his dad's bastard son would best him next week. When he jumped into Axel's arms Ventus' jaw began to tick. Needing to get out of there before he did or said something he would regret he worked his way through the crowd and slipped out of the gym. His heart was racing from his anger when he ran into Terra. The larger man's eyes flicked to the door Ven had just come through. Ven saw the anger flash in Terra's eyes just before he hid it away.

"You ready to talk?" Terra growled.

No not really. "Yeah sure." He lied. Terra nodded and motioned for him to follow.

"Zexion's match won't start for at least twenty minutes so we have some time." Terra added over his shoulder as they made their way to the taped off section of the building. Terra led him to an empty equipment room, closed the door and locked it then turned to Ven.

At what point in this relationship did I become the submissive? Ven stood waiting for Terra to start because he sure as hell didn't know where to begin. As far as he was concerned the apology he gave earlier should have covered it. Now it was just the matter of Terra accepting it or not.

Terra was trying to decide how to start this conversation. He was pissed at Ven but he also understood that Ven's actions the other day were nothing different than he would have done before they were lovers. That was what Terra had been trying to reconcile and was the reason he'd stayed away from Ven. He'd been trying to decide if he was expecting too much. Ven never said he'd be different just because they were fucking each other now. The fact that Terra wanted things different didn't mean that would happen. Ven was Ven and he would probably never change. But the one thing he would demand was Ven's full commitment. That meant Terra did not want to be fighting for attention from a memory. He took a deep breath and began.

"Your apology meant a lot to me." Ven's relief was visible and it gave Terra the confidence to continue. "I was pissed that you hit me, but I was more pissed why you hit me." Terra put his hands up to stop Ven from talking. "Let me finish, please?"

Ven took a deep breath then nodded as he took a step closer.

Terra continued, "You know I have always hated Axel. When he hurt you it only solidified my opinion of him. While we were friends I had to stand by and watch him hurt you over and over again. The whole time I loved you more and more but was afraid to say anything. Now I finally have you as my lover. But you still won't let go of that bastard and that hurts like hell. I want all of you Ven. Not what's left after you allow him to dominate your thoughts and your heart." Terra stepped closer, "Don't you get it? I'm here, right here. I'm the one that stood by you through every fucking thing that has happened to you. I'm the one who would do anything for you. Not him. But he's the one you still give your heart to. I deserve better than that from you Ven. I deserve all of you, not just the left overs."

Ven was stunned at Terra's words. It was obvious that Terra valued their relationship as much as Ven did. He was still coming to terms with the fact that Terra was sexually attracted to him but for some reason he'd never considered the possibility that Terra was in love with him. He didn't know what to do, how to respond. He loved Terra as a friend he supposed, although he didn't really believe that love existed. In his opinion love was a word that people used as an excuse to force another to be who they wanted them to be, do what they wanted them to do. 'If you love me you'll…' He'd heard that phrase thousands of times and cringed whenever the other person relented. Now here he was standing a foot away from a man he'd known for more than half of his life who never asked anything of him. A man he'd come to depend on for so much. And suddenly Terra wanted him to forget what Axel did to him. To forget the past and the wrong done to him and allow that little bastard Roxas to have what should have been his? He didn't want to lose Terra but he sure as hell couldn't forget Axel and his betrayal. "What are you asking me to do Terra?"

Terra was startled when Ven finally spoke. It had taken him so long he wasn't sure he was going to say anything at all. But what he said just fueled Terra's anger even more. "I'm asking you to put me first." He growled out. "I want to be the first one you think about when you wake up and the last person you think about when you fall asleep. I don't want to be second to Axel." He added. His anger barely contained.

Ven considered what he said carefully and stepped closer to Terra. They were mere inches apart. Ven could feel the heat from Terra's body and his anger boiling dangerously close to the surface. He put a hand on Terra's bicep. The muscle tensed under his hand but Terra didn't move. His eyes held Ven intently. "You're not second to Axel in the ways that matter." Ven began and pressed his body to Terra's. It was the only way he knew to get his way without using violence. Ven was all about the physical. Emotional he knew how to fake but he didn't really understand most emotions. Anger and hate he understood. With Terra though he would have to admit, it was different. He didn't think it was love but he knew he couldn't lose him either so he did what he'd learned to do to survive. He did what he knew people who did feel emotions would respond to. "I wake up with you every morning and I'm glad for it. The last two nights I did go to bed thinking of you and how much I missed you and in the morning I reached for you." He lifted up on his toes and pressed a light kiss to Terra's lips. "My thoughts of Axel are not of getting him back. They are of making him pay for what he did." He slid he arms around Terra's waist. He could feel Terra begin to respond to his touch. "I can't give up my need for vengeance. I won't give it up but I can promise you that you are the only man I want to share my bed with." He tightened his arms around Terra's waist pulling them as close as was possible. He could feel Terra's erection but knew better than to smile. He said nothing, waiting for Terra to process and respond.

Terra's body wanted Ven but that was never an issue. In fact his body betrayed him on a regular basis when it came to Ven. He replayed what Ven said. He knew him well. Knew when he played his little head games. Evading a straight answer or not truly making a promise. He was careful with his words just now but he was at least honest. And Terra knew Ven would not give up his need for vengeance but that's not really what he was asking. He just wanted to be the one that Ven loved. He wanted to be the most important person in Ven's life. And no matter how much Ven said otherwise, until Axel was gone Terra would never have Ven to himself. He'd have him physically as he just promised but his heart would be Axel's. What Ven didn't understand was Terra was just as good at these games. He smiled down at Ven, "I'm not asking you to give up your quest for vengeance. That bastard deserves to pay."

Ven's answering smile was slow and seductive. "You truly are the only person that understands me. Terra I don't want to lose you. Can you forgive me?"

Terra put his arms around Ven's shoulders. "Yes." He whispered then closed the distance between their mouths fusing their lips together as he tightened his arms. After a few moments Terra slipped his tongue past Ven's lips and moaned, god how he craved this man. He slid his hand up into the blonde mass of hair and grabbed a fistful tugging hard enough to draw a moan from Ven. He dragged the kiss out a little longer before pulling back. They were both panting, their eyes hooded from the intensity of the kiss.

"We need to get back. Zexion will be fighting any minute and it's important that I watch him fight." Terra explained, breathless.

"Yeah it is." He cupped Terra's cheek. "So are we good?"

Terra sighed then nodded, "Yeah we're good." And gave Ven one last lingering kiss before opening the door. "He's on mat three. Match 43."

"I'm going to stand in the bleachers and watch." Ven said as he followed Terra out.

"Yeah I assumed as much. I have to be on the floor so I'll watch from there. I missed Roxas' match. How did he do?"

"Better than someone at his training level should." Ven grumbled.

Terra stopped and looked at Ven. "How much better?"

"Steve didn't even score against him."

"I told you not to underestimate them." Terra growled.

"Yeah I know. Let's go see what Zexion can do. He's been training a lot longer than Roxas." Ven said as he began walking again.

Terra blew out a frustrated breath, "Next bracket we should give Roxas someone a little tougher. We need to see what he can really do. Steve is good but he's not remotely close to our level. That's what we need to see."

"Just let the brackets fall where they do. If these guys get eliminated then it may shake their confidence." Ven said as they entered the crowded gym.

"But if they win it will boost it." Terra smiled, understanding.

"Exactly. No one here is as good as us." Ven said as he took the bleachers two at a time.

Terra headed to the main floor where the fighting took place. He stood across from where Zexion's match was to be held. It only took a few seconds for him to locate the shock of red spikes. He hadn't seen Zexion for a month and the transformation was a shock. He didn't think it was possible but the man had filled out more. He was warming up by punching palm pads on Riku's hands and he was fucking fast. "Shit." Terra murmured as he watched.

Zexy's match was announced and he went up to the table to check in. Terra moved closer not wanting to miss any of this fight. The guy Zexion was up against was really good for his level and Terra was more curious than ever now.

ooOOoo

Zexy's match was announced and Riku gave his shoulder a quick squeeze. "Remember Zex, you've got this. Don't forget to channel your emotions. It's time to put all of your hard training to use."

"I know. I'll keep in control. I'll make you proud, I promise." Zexy grinned.

"This isn't about us Zex. It's about you and that incredible man in the bleachers watching you and cheering you on." Axel added.

Zexion looked over at Demyx who was grinning at him and couldn't help but return the grin. Then he looked at Sora. This is for more than just me and Demyx. He looked at his opponent who was heading to the center of the mat then back at Riku and Axel. "I've got this." He nodded and jogged onto the mat. He checked in then met his opponent at center mat. The guy was huge and grinned at Zexy like he intended to eat him for lunch. Zexy did the only thing he could, he grinned back. The guy's grin disappeared.

"Fighters ready!" whistle … "Fight!"

ooOOoo

Aqua sat frozen in the bleachers when she saw Ven and Terra walk in together. Her heart started racing as Ven took the bleacher seats two at a time looking like he was heading right for her. She turned around to make sure her guards were there and saw one following Ven's movement. She was trying to decide if she should run when he stopped and turned to watch Zexion's match. He was barely 10 feet from her in the same row of seats. Had Terra told him he'd talked to her? She was shaking and Terry must have noticed because he came and sat next to her, placing himself between her and Ven. She gave him a small smile and he returned it. A little more relaxed she turned her attention to Zexion's match when she heard the ref yell fight. Her eyes were on the fight but her mind was back in the locker room where Terra agreed to meet her. His relief at seeing her okay was obvious.

Aqua knew that Terra, unlike Ventus, cared about people and it was that knowledge that she now clung to desperately trying to believe what he'd told her. But there was something in the way he'd answered that planted a seed of doubt. His body language was off and his answer almost seemed rehearsed. Then he changed the subject and told her she needed to get out of town quickly. The threat to her was still there and he wouldn't be able to protect her from Xaldin if he decided to take matters into his own hands. He explained that he was told to take care of her or they would. Before he left he hugged her tight and told her to stay safe and not to lose her guards again. She'd promised and he left her standing in the quiet locker room. But the talk with him had created doubt rather than assuring her that Terra had had nothing to do with the attempt on Axel's and Riku's lives. Her attention was drawn back to the mats when she heard Axel yelling to Zexion to keep it up.

ooOOoo

As Zexion had anticipated, his opponent did not attack immediately. Instead he circled slowly sizing up Zexy's ability to read his moves as he changed direction fast a few times. Zexion reacted perfectly, switching direction as quickly as he did. The guy faked right and Zexy went left, knowing that was where his opponent would move. He dodged the first punch and blocked the second as well as the snap kick. Zexy's adrenaline kicked in, his heart was pounding in his ears but he never lost his focus. He studied the guy's body language with absolute precision. The man's inability to pull off a clean attack was frustrating him. He growled at Zexy when he avoided another attack. Zexy grinned frustrating his opponent further and, just as Zexy had anticipated, the guy charged him. Being angry he wasn't focused on his balance and Zexy used that as he drove his shoulder into the guy's chest and flipped him over onto his back then spun so fast few saw him move or realized what he'd done until he was perched with his knee digging into his opponent's back with his arm twisted painfully behind him forcing him to tap out. Zexy had the first two points.

Zexy could hear Demyx, Roxas and Sora above the crowd's din as they whistled and cheered him on. He looked toward Axel and Riku who were standing in his corner clapping and praising him. As he got back into the ready stance he scanned the crowd and that's when he spotted him. Zexion's smile dissolved as he locked eyes with Ven. His tempered flared when Ven grinned at him and having nowhere else to place his rage he turned to the guy on the mat. The ref yelled ready and Zexion charged his opponent just as his opponent had done. Distracted by his fury, Zexy wasn't paying attention to his balance and the guy not only dodged his attack easily but he tossed him over his shoulder leaving Zexy flat on his back gasping for air. Taking advantage of Zexy's stunned state the guy grabbed his arm and twisted it using enough force to flip Zexy's body. He felt the guy's knee dig into his ribs as he pinned his arm behind him. He was pinned in the exact position he had just pinned his opponent. He just gave away two points. They were tied.

"Come on Zexy. Where's your head!?" Riku yelled over the crowd and whistles from the other matches. Zexy looked back to where Ven was and his grin had turned into an arrogant smirk. Zexy wanted to knock it off his face but to do that he had to focus. If he couldn't get through his first match without losing his control what would happen next week? He gathered his anger the way Roxas had taught him and pulled it into his core refocusing into total calm. He got back into the ready stance with his opponent grinning as arrogantly as Ven had. Focus, controlled anger is the key. The ref yelled "ready, fight" and they started circling. The guy threw some quick jabs. Zexy blocked them. Zexy could vaguely hear Riku and Axel shouting instructions but he wasn't listening. His focus was completely on the man he was dancing with. His opponent threw two quick solar plexus punches followed by a front snap kick and Zexy blocked each effortlessly. Reading the guys body language as his frustration grew Zexy dodged another fast combo. The guy came at him furiously until he backed Zexy out of bounds and they were forced to start at the center again. Zexy glanced at the clock, 30 seconds left. He had to score in that time or go into overtime.

This time the guy came out fast and tried to put Zexy in a head lock. He was strong, fast and had ten inches on Zexy but Zexy ducked low and avoided his reach then spun his body away putting a bit of distance between them. Zexy could see the guy was hanging on by a thread. He thought this would be an easy win and clearly didn't like how the match was going. Zexy glanced at the time, 15 seconds. He had to do something fast. He threw a front snap kick and the guy did exactly what he thought he would, he grabbed Zexy's ankle intending to flip him to his stomach and pin him. Zexy was ready for it and as soon as the guy lowered his hands to make the grab Zexy switched legs dropping the first out of the guys reach as he threw a heel kick to his chest then spun and landed a spinning back kick to his kidney. The guy dropped like a stone grasping his chest tucking his knees up as if protecting himself. The ref blew the whistle and the buzzer sounded. Zexy had scored two points taking the match.

The crowd's level was deafening as they reacted to a new competitor, an unknown beating a known competitor in the circuit. Judging by the smiles and cheers Zexy assumed they approved of his victory. He honed in on Ven again and what do you know, his arrogant smirk was gone. It was Zexy's turn to grin as the ref raised his arm to show he was the winner. Zexy shook the other coaches hands then walked over to Axel and Riku grinning from ear to ear.

Axel's grin mimicked his own. "Nice job." Axel praised.

Riku laughed, "Nice? Nice? That was fucking awesome!" He gave Zexy's shoulder a quick grab then led him off the mat straight into the arms of a beaming Demyx.

"Oh. My. God! That was awesome Zexy!" Demyx said against his ear as he hugged him tight. He pulled back to look at him. "I told you you were better the better fighter." He hugged him again.

"Yeah you did. I almost blew it though." He looked at everyone. "Did you see who was watching from the bleachers?"

Riku nodded but the rest looked clueless. "Ven." Riku answered.

Axel's head whipped around searching for him, they were all looking.

"Don't bother. He left as soon as the match was over." Riku explained. "We knew they would be watching. They'd be stupid not to. If you guys keep doing this good though they might decide to step up their game next week." Shaking his head he added, "I can't believe I'm going to say this but you guys need to pull back a little or you're going to lose your element of surprise, if you haven't already. They can't know how good you both are. Not yet anyway."

Axel grunted in agreement. "He's right. I'm not saying you should lose but don't make it look so damn easy." He added grinning as he put his arm around Roxas.

"Yeah well seeing Ven I almost lost for real." Zexy grumbled, "Man I just wanted to rip him apart." He wrapped his arm around Demyx protectively. Demy smiled at him.

"I'm glad I didn't see him, once today was plenty for me."

Roxas narrowed his eyes, "What do you mean?"

Axel shrugged, "I ran into him out by the brackets. We exchanged a few words and I walked away." Everyone was looking at him. "What? I saw no reason to work everyone up before the matches."

Roxas looked like he was going to push the issue but didn't say anything else, much to Axel's relief. He really didn't want to go into it here.

Riku cleared his throat. "Okay well it will be a while before the second round is posted. Why don't we go and get something to eat." Everyone grunted or nodded in agreement and gathered up there stuff then headed for the cafeteria.

"The only way to fix the brackets would be to force someone to forfeit anyway. It would be too obvious. Besides, we want to see what they can do, don't we? One of them may get hurt but considering the way they just competed, I doubt it." Terra said as he looked over the second round brackets.

"Agreed. Who did they end up with?" Ven asked watching people through the office window.

Terra's breath caught when he looked up to answer. Ven was propped on one shoulder leaning against the wall. He was in a muscle shirt with his arms crossed over his muscular chest. Even though he was not very tall his body was built for fighting. Lean and solid, every muscle was defined. His power, when he was in this kind of mood, oozed from him and everyone just knew to give him a wide berth. Terra got up and slipped in behind him wrapping his arms around Ven's slim waist. The most beautiful thing about him like this was that Terra was the only one who could approach him and touch him without risking injury. Terra pressed up against Ven letting him feel his erection as he kissed the side of his neck. "Zexion is against Matt Long and Roxas is against Ming Choo."

Ven shivered as Terra's lips brushed over his neck and his erection pushed against his ass. He put his hands over Terra's hands and tilted his head to give him better access. "Those are both going to be tough matches for them. They're both black belts and each have been at that rank for at least 3 years." He slid his hand up to the back of Terra's head, cupping it as he turned to kiss him. He couldn't help but notice how Terra's touch had taken the edge off of his fury at seeing Axel with his arm around Roxas. And it occurred to him that Terra had always had that effect on him. No matter the source of his rage Terra always managed to get through the haze and calm him. Ven ignored the odd feeling in the center of his chest then deepened the kiss not wanting to think too hard on that revelation.

Terra felt the anger slip away from Ventus as the smaller man melted against his body. He closed the blinds then stepped away grinning when Ventus' growled in protest. "Relax, I'm just locking the door." Terra explained. Ven grinned then and that grin shot heat through Terra's body meeting at his center to make his already hard cock throb painfully. He closed the distance between them. There was no more need to talk.

Aqua wanted to stay to watch Roxas' and Zexion's matches but she had already tempted fate by coming here. She didn't think it would be wise to push her luck any further. Her guards weren't too happy about her losing them earlier either. Well technically she hadn't lost them. They knew she was in the locker room but she had locked the door so they couldn't follow her inside. Not wanting to draw attention by knocking the door down, they were forced to wait for her to come out. They'd seen Terra walk out, and Terry let her know that Riku would be told what she'd done and who she'd met. She only wished her conversation with Terra would have given her something useful to give to Riku. But seriously, what did she expect? Did she really think he would say "Yeah, of course I tried to kill them," she shook her head at her own stupidity. Terra might not want to hurt her but Ven would always come first. She got into the back of the SUV feeling defeated and sank down as far as the seatbelt would allow. Closing her eyes she replayed the conversation with Terra. A shiver rolled through her as she recalled his warning again. She should just go. It would make everyone's life easier. They were giving her a new identity, a new life, a chance to start over. It had to be safer than living here. God knew the twins would be happy to see her go. Neither was ever cruel to her but their dislike for her was something they couldn't hide and the worst part was that she couldn't blame them. She would be the same or worse toward someone who had done what she had to them. Her staying at Axel's mansion was just adding a whole new level of disrespect to all of them. She needed to leave. Making up her mind Aqua decided to tell Axel and Riku when they got home to make the arrangements for her to leave town permanently. There was no one to stay here for anyway.

ooOOoo

"So what do you want us to do in this next round?" Roxas asked after he'd finished his hotdog.

"Simple, you're going to have to hold back. You know like you do when you spar with Riku." Axel added flashing a broad grin.

"Kiss my ass Axel." Riku smirked then looked toward Roxas. "He's right about holding back Rox. We don't want these guys to see what the two of you can do. They're cocky S.O.B.s but when it comes to next week's competition they don't fuck around. Ven will take whatever measures necessary to win if he knows how good you guys are."

"We've already drawn too much of his attention in the first round so let's be smart in this one." Axel said as he started clearing their mess from the table. "You guys were both too damn good for your first matches. But I think if you allow your opponents to score some points by making stupid mistakes Ven and Terra might think your first wins were beginner's luck."

Roxas raised a brow at that. "I don't know if I can just let someone get a point on me. I really don't like to look stupid." He scowled.

"Why are we hiding how good we are again?" Zexion asked as he watched both Demyx and Sora getting up slowly because of the aches and pains that continued to plague them, months after their injuries. "We are going to need to fight with everything we've got from the first match next week. Won't that give away our skill level? By the way you guys are talking, it really won't matter if they know how good we are or not. They're better than us and it's going to take some serious luck for either of us to beat them next week no matter what we hide this week."

Riku shook his head as he threw the last of the garbage away and everyone started back to the gym. "The main advantage to hiding your true skills this week is to keep them from bracketing you against a high ranking opponent for your first matches next week. I think we all agree they're going to fix the first seedings. And that they want to make sure you guys get through to the last round. We are trying to get you there without serious injury. I don't doubt for a minute that if Ven thinks you're a threat he will pit you against someone who could hurt you just enough to give him, or whichever one of his guys you end up against, the advantage."

"Exactly," Axel agreed.

Roxas scowled. "I understand why but that won't make looking stupid any easier."

Axel put his arm around Roxas' shoulders and gave a little squeeze. "You'll be able to show off next week," He grinned, "You know, save face." Roxas couldn't help but smile back and wrapped his arm around Axel's waist to return the small hug.

"Yeah I guess."

"I know it sucks to have to do it but I would rather see you and Zexion get through the first round unharmed next week. It's going to be a wicked competition as it is." Demyx added. Zexion gave him a soft smile but said nothing. He didn't care what he had to do at this competition to achieve his goal in next week's. As far as Zexion was concerned looking inadequate this week would be worth the price if he was able to take on Terra next week. He hadn't admitted that to anyone. Not even Demyx. But it was Terra that he wanted because he was the one that did the most damage to his lover. He was the one that Zexion wanted to make pay more than anyone else.

They approached the gym with Axel and Roxas leading the way. Axel stopped with his hand on the handle of the door. "I'll be back in a few minutes. I'm going to check the brackets."

"No, you go ahead in. I'll check the brackets this time. You don't need to run into Ven again." Riku said as he turned and headed back toward where the brackets were posted.

Axel was about to argue until he caught the look on Roxas' face and decided to let him go. He cleared his throat and pushed the door open and held it for the others to go in before him. When he walked into the room the hair on the back of his neck stood up. He scanned the crowd and spotted Ven who happened to be looking right at him. They made eye contact. A slow smirk spread over Ven's lips. Axel shot him an equally cocky smirk. "Should have checked the brackets," he mumbled as he followed the others. Riku came in a few minutes later.

"Who are they matched with?" Axel asked, not liking the look on Riku's face.

"Roxas has Ming Choo and Zex has Matt Long."

"There is no avoiding tough opponents Riku, they need that experience. Sparring against us isn't the same as a true match. They'll be okay."

"If they were able to utilize their skills I would agree with you. But they can't show how good they are and both of these guys are ruthless." Riku growled.

"This isn't next week. There are strict rules they have to follow or they risk disqualification. That will be protection enough."

Riku relaxed a little, "Yeah I guess you're right. I just can't help but worry for them. Ya know?"

""Yeah, I do." Axel murmured.

Roxas noticed Riku come in while he was warming up and didn't like how long he and Axel were talking away from the rest of them. He got up and walked over with Zexion following. "What are you two whispering about?" Riku and Axel exchanged quick glances. Roxas narrowed his eyes, "Out with it." He demanded.

"You both have third year black belts that are ruthless. Riku was just concerned one of you might get injured because you're forced to hold back." Axel explained.

"Is his concern warranted?" Zexion asked.

Shaking his head Riku answered. "No, Axel reminded me that there are rules they have to abide by today. If they don't they'll be disqualified, which means they can't fight dirty, so you guys should be okay."

Roxas raised a brow, "Should be?"

Axel shrugged. "Yeah, I think you'll be fine. It's important for you to compete against more skilled fighters because in next week's competition, that's all there are. Only the best and the meanest enter. The reason for today was to have you experience an actual tournament and to fool Ven and his crew into thinking you're not a threat. You're safe today."

"I hear a but..." Roxas prompted

Axel looked at Zexion and Roxas. "You are both exceptional fighters. Better than I could have hoped, but if you're caught unawares next week and end up too hurt to fight none of that talent will mean shit." He shook his head. "I almost wish one would try something illegal so you guys understood better."

Sora turned to Axel and the look on his face was not a good one. "I think we all know exactly what those guys a capable of Axel. Trust me, not a day goes by that I forget and I bet Demyx would say the same. Since Roxas and Zexion are with us every day we are a constant reminder of how dangerous this situation is. So don't you dare hope for one of them to be hurt today to prove your point." Riku put his hand on Sora's shoulder to calm him but Sora shrugged it off. "They get it. We all get it." Sora was standing directly in front of Axel. Even though he had to tilt his head to look up at him he somehow managed to make Axel the smaller man.

Axel cleared his throat, "You're right, I'm sorry Sora." Axel looked up at Roxas and his eyes softened. Roxas walked over to Axel and hugged him letting him know that he understood. He knew that Axel was scared for them. Before anyone could add to the conversation Zexion's match was announced.

"Okay, I guess it's time to go look like an ass." Zexion announced and headed for the table where his match would take place. Riku jogged after him. Axel shrugged and followed them both.

Roxas looked at Demyx and Sora, "Let's hope he only has to pretend. Third year black belts…" he shook his head. "Come on, I think he's going to need a cheering squad." Demyx gave him a pained look and they all headed toward Zexy's mat.

ooOOoo

Terra watched as Zexion was taken to the mat for the third time. He was down three to two but two of the points Zexion had given away looked too easy. If Terra didn't know better he would swear Zexion was letting Long score against him. Terra's eyes narrowed as a thought came to him. He'd seen them practice and three weeks ago they looked great. They could only have improved since then and the first matches made sense but this… this second match didn't. "They wouldn't, would they?" He watched as Zexion barely dodged a side kick. At first it looked like he was struggling but as Terra paid closer attention he could see the concentration on Zexion's face. He was anticipating Long's moves but unlike the first match where he countered and scored here he was barely keeping the blows from connecting with no chance to counter. He stayed just out of range to keep the scoring down and it made it look like he was struggling. "Son of a bitch," Terra whispered. Zexion was making it look like he was out matched. There was only 20 seconds left to the bout. Terra started to think Zexion would throw the fight but with only five seconds left he threw a three punch combo landing two then finished with a round house kick that also connected earning him two points and the win.

Zexion let the ref hold his arm up as he scanned the crowd. He didn't see Ventus but he spotted Terra and what he saw wasn't good. Terra watched him with such intensity that Zexion had to fight not to squirm. When the ref released his wrist Zexion trotted over to Riku and Axel but he wanted to run. They were both smiling when he reached them. "Did either of you see Terra?"

Axel put his hand on Zexion's shoulder. "We'll discuss it in private." The smile never left his face as he led him off the mat while Riku followed.

"Great job Zex. You had me worried for a minute though." Riku said as they made their way to the others. They weren't facing Terra anymore so Zex assumed Ventus must be watching from this direction so he played along with the ruse.

"Yeah me too, he caught me off guard the first time. I really misjudged that first strike." They reached the others who were quick to congratulate him on his win. Demyx hugged him and that gave Zex the chance to scan the crowd. Terra had made his way to Ventus. They were talking quietly but no longer watching him. He felt the tension drain from his body and so did Demyx and he pulled back from the hug to look at Zexion.

"Is everything okay Zex?"

Zexion nodded and leaned in for a kiss, with his lips resting on Demyx's he said, "I'll explain when we're not so exposed." Demyx gave a slight nod in understanding.

Roxas' match was announced before any more questions could be asked. Roxas smiled at Zexion, "You didn't look too bad. I think I can at least manage what you did," then jogged off.

ooOOoo

"Did you watch him?"

"Yes."

"What did you think about it?" Terra asked.

"I think his inexperience showed. He was able to win the match but I think that was more luck than skill."

Terra narrowed his eyes at Ventus. "Did you watch Roxas or Axel, because that's not what I saw?"

Ventus glared at Terra. "Fuck you Terra." He snapped and walked away. Terra let out a frustrated growl. Ventus was too focused on Axel to see anything clearly. Maybe I should just let you get your ass kicked next week. If you're going to keep your fucking head in the sand I should let you pay for it. Roxas had done the same thing as Zexion. Terra was more convinced than ever that they weren't showing their true potential. He glanced over at the others and caught Riku looking his way. Terra sneered at him and left the gym wondering how he was going to get Ventus to see the obvious.

ooOOoo

Zexion sat in the back seat admiring his third place trophy. Demyx squeezed his thigh. "You really did good Zex." Zexion smiled at his lover.

Axel looked in the rear view mirror. "You both did great. You guys managed to look impressive but not so much that Ventus would see you as a threat."

"I don't think Terra was fooled in the least." Riku said from further back. "He was watching too intently to miss what they were doing. I saw him arguing with Ventus more than once after watching their matches."

Roxas set his fifth place trophy beside him and took Axel's hand. "I think he's right. I caught Terra glaring at me after the match I'd lost. It sure seemed as if he knew exactly what I had done."

Axel shook his head. "It doesn't matter. Everyone follows Ventus and he was fooled enough. I believe we accomplished what we needed to today." He pulled into the garage just in time to see Aqua's guards loading her suitcases into the other SUV. "What the hell?" Axel and Riku quickly got out of the truck as Aqua came through the garage door.

"Where do you think you're going?" Axel asked.

Aqua looked sad but determined. Roxas looked at Sora questioningly then they both watched as Riku and Axel squared off with Aqua.

Riku walked up to Aqua, "Well, are you going to answer him?"

Aqua put her purse and back pack in the back seat then turned to both of them. "You guys are the best friends any person could hope to have. After everything I did you both stood by me and helped me." She looked at Sora and Roxas then back at Axel and Riku. "You put the men you love through the torture of having to live with me after what I allowed to happen to Sora."

"I don't think it was torture Aqua." Axel retorted.

"Maybe not, but I guarantee they haven't enjoyed it." Aqua put her hand up when Riku started to add something. "Look guys, my staying here with you can bring nothing good. I thought I could get you some answers today but I couldn't. I.."

"What do you mean by that? What did you do?" Axel interrupted, stepping closer to her and taking her wrist.

"She was at the tournament today." Riku said.

"What!?"

"Relax, nothing happened, absolutely nothing. I thought I could get Terra to at least tell me who tried to kill you." She let out a quick laugh at Axel's and Riku's surprised looks. "I know, it was stupid," She let out a frustrated breath. "I just wanted to do something for you two because you have done so much for me. As it turns out, the best thing I can do for you is to leave you alone and get out of your lives." A tear slid down her cheek and she quickly wiped it away.

"Aqua." Riku said quietly. She smiled softly at him.

"No Riku, nothing you say will keep me here. I know this is for the best, besides, a clean slate? How many people get that chance? I won't ever be able to pay you guys back for everything you've done for me. But at least this is a start. So I want you guys to get the men you love through next week then live your lives. Live happily ever after." She flashed a small smile. "I can't think of anyone who deserves it more."

"What do you think is happening?" Sora asked to know one in particular.

"Obviously Aqua is leaving and our men are trying to talk her out of it." Roxas answered with a little bite to his voice.

"She looks pretty determined Rox. I'm pretty sure she won't get talked out of this." Demyx added softly.

"Is there anything we can say to make you stay?" Riku asked as he rubbed her arm.

Aqua shook her head. "No. You both know this is what's best. God I'll miss you both so much." She grabbed Riku and hugged him hard then turned to Axel and did the same. The tears she was holding back fell freely now.

Axel looked up at Terry, "Do you have the decoys in place?"

"Yeah, I set everything in motion as soon as she said she was leaving. The decoys are already at the train station, bus station and the airport. We have the decoy SUVs in place waiting for our signal."

Axel nodded, "I'm counting on you to keep her safe." He said this while Aqua was still in his arms. He pulled back from her just enough to look at her. "You follow every instruction you are given. Do you hear me? No heroics."

"I promise. I want to live Axel."

"As soon as it's safe we will contact you to see how you're doing. We will see you again. I promise." Riku said.

That made her smile. "Good, I would hate to be denied your uber sexiness for the rest of my life. Who knows, maybe by then you'll agree to try out my team."

Riku chuckled, "If I ever do you'll be the female I play with."

"Promises, promises," She responded, as fresh tears welled in her eyes. "Okay well I'd better get going. Apparently I have a train, bus, and plane to catch in the next two hours." She gave them both one more hug then climbed into the truck.

Axel and Riku watched them pull out. "I hope she makes it." Riku said as the garage door closed.

"The plan is pretty solid. I think she'll be okay." He looked at Riku then turned to the truck they'd come in to see four curious faces watching quietly. He patted Riku's shoulder. "Come on, we have our own troubles to worry about and dangers to avoid."

"Yeah, isn't that the truth."

So there's chapter 17. The next chapter will be the final chapter. I can't believe the story is finally coming to an end. I will miss my characters!

As always… thank you for reading!
