Hey guys! New Chapter...only two more chapters after this one...basically it'll be one full chapter after this and then an epilogue. I hope you enjoy! Disclaimer: I only own Alyssa and Morgan.
~_~_~_~_~Alyssa's POV~_~_~_~_~
"Wow. Now I sort of wish that I took Tamaki up on his offer," Haruhi said to me as I recapped our oh-so-eventful vacation.
"What offer?" I wondered aloud.
"Per usual, when the Host Club goes on an extravagant rendezvous, they usually offer for me to come along. But I couldn't leave my dad home alone and plus you had entrusted me to watch William while you and Morgan were gone. I couldn't pawn him on someone else," Haruhi reasoned but at the same time, her face fell a bit. I immediately felt bad because she had to miss out on everything.
"It honestly doesn't surprise me, the way Hikaru acted towards your friend. He did the same thing to me. Everyone else was so excited to see him and get to know him. Hikaru on the other hand…" Haruhi began but I interrupted.
"Yea he told me. It wasn't that hard to imagine Hikaru doing that."
We laughed at his ridiculousness.
"He took me on a date after that to apologize. Then left me alone in the middle of a storm. He eventually came back and held me until the storm was over," Haruhi explained. Even though she meant nothing by it, it put me in a state of shock.
"Wait, what?" I asked but Haruhi never got a chance to continue before Morgan came over carrying a laptop. I'm guessing that it was Kyoya's because she rarely brought hers to school. It was never needed.
"Did you see what a certain Hitachiin brother put up on the Ouran Host Club website?"
"We have a website?" I inquired in confusion.
"Yea I didn't know either until I was walking here from class. Some girls were talking about it, so I hunted down Kyoya and stole his laptop. He'll realize it's missing in about…5 minutes so we don't have a lot of time."
She shoved the laptop at me and I barely caught it. I laughed at myself before turning towards the screen. Smack dab in the middle was a picture of Morgan and Mori from the bonfire. There were aspects of the photo that had been photo-shopped with elegant swirls that looked like something out of a Celtic book.
"Kaoru was quick to work wasn't he?" I told her.
"I wouldn't worry too much about it. It's a flattering picture and at least you weren't half naked," Haruhi argued. I turned back to her, my eyes questioning.
"One time the twins photo-shopped a picture of me half-naked on there, without my permission I might add."
"Still that's an invasion of privacy!" Morgan exclaimed. "I'm not some celebrity. I'm going to have a serious talk with Kaoru about this."
"So you found the new picture I see," a chilling voice spoke.
The three of us felt shivers go down our spine as we slowly turned to see Kyoya standing there.
"It's a great new addition. As much as the ladies love the guys being single, they also love to see love stories play out in front of their eyes. It's their own personal Soap Opera if you will," He explained, but I could tell that to Morgan it didn't matter how well this helped the club, she wasn't taking a part in it.
"Take it off…no no I don't want to hear that you can't. I've seen you with computers. This is going to be the easiest task for you to handle. This is an invasion of privacy and you didn't ask if it was okay if this picture was posted." Morgan told him and stopped him from speaking when he opened up his mouth to no doubt reason with her.
"I'm sorry Morgan but it's already been viral for about 20 hours. Deleting it now wouldn't do much help. Chances are that it's already been circulated throughout the web."
"Fine whatever, don't take it down. But if you take anymore pictures, you come to me first before placing them on the internet."
"Dually noted. Now the rest of the host club should be arriving soon. I suggest you three get changed for today. Your costumes are in the dressing rooms." Kyoya slapped the screen of his laptop down before grabbing it from us and walking away. "Also, please reframe from taking my things again. It's rather tedious."
Even though he asked in a polite manner, there was some sting to it which was a subtle warning to never touch his things again.
"Do you know the theme today?" I asked Haruhi who had stood up from her chair to head towards the dressing rooms.
"Tamaki mentioned something along the lines of mythological creatures but who knows exactly. He's so fickle I'm surprised we don't change into five different outfits a day."
We pulled back the curtain to reveal three different outfits, one for each of us. Haruhi walked over to an outfit with her name on it, giving it a once over before her eyes widened.
"It's got a fox tail. And fox ears," She cried out. Glancing over the rest of the outfit, it seemed very traditional Japanese kimono style, for men of course. It reminded me of an anime I had seen once. Was it Kamosa…no…Kamisama…oh! Kamisama Hajimemashita. That's certainly a mouthful.
"It looks like Tamaki expects you to be a Kitsune spirit," I had told her.
"Could be worse I guess. At least I'm not a Centaur or Minotaur. It's pretty simple to put on ears and a tail."
Morgan looked over at hers, a dress with a skirt of brown silk and netting with touches of fall leaves woven in. The bodice was wrapped in shantung with off the shoulders tulle. A perfect sweetheart neckline would probably bare more than Morgan was really willing to wear although I found it to be quite cute. Morgan lifted it to reveal wings on the back; not the flimsy Halloween ones that swing to one side by the end of the night and made you look broken. Glitter gleamed in the light bestowing a magical quality to the orange and red swirls.
"I'm a Fairy! This is awesome. What're you?"
I glanced at my outfit which was very medieval in a certain sense. The edges of the loose hanging sleeves were embroidered with golden fabrics against a light blue material. I pulled the skirt of the dress out to get a better look. The blue was bunched in one wide 'u' shape to expose a white underlay. The neckline scooped around the chest area and swinging to the back, showing, I knew, a bit of skin if I were to put it on. Clipped onto the hanger was a pair of pointed stubs.
"I think I'm supposed to be an elf?" I answered with uncertainty. I tossed the stubs to Morgan who caught them with grace. She lifted them to the light, her eyes squinting to examine them.
"That's my guess although I'm not sure how to put them on."
I reached to take the dress off the hanger when the curtain opened. A man and a woman dressed completely in black stared at us.
"Hey! Excuse you! You're not supposed to be in here!" I shouted over at the strangers.
"We were told to prepare you for the club today. As you can tell, those elf ears and fairy wings are going to take professional make-up help," the woman answered.
"Kyoya sent you didn't he?" asked Morgan.
"We are the Ootori's hairstylists, fashion consultants, make-up artists. They don't leave the house without our approval. The Ootori family aspects nothing but the best when going out in public. Not one thing can be wrong with them," the man answered stiffly, his partner more relaxed although snobby.
The three of us stared at the two of them before Morgan and I yelled out simultaneously, "Kyoya!"
He appeared in the room carrying a notebook dotting down whatever at the moment.
"You rang?"
"I'm not getting undressed in front of these people," I told him. "They are complete strangers to me…" I pulled him down closer to my level and whispered, "Not to mention rude. They didn't even knock."
"Miss, we are professionals here," the man said no doubt feeling insulted.
"Alyssa, Morgan, Haruhi…this is Kaito and Shinju Osaka. Siblings equipped with skills unlike any other. We found them working for a worthless penny in a rundown hair salon barely staying afloat. If not for my sister absolutely needing to get her hair fixed after a child had stuck gum in it, we would have never found them. Alyssa and Morgan will be working with Shinju. She's great with prosthetics for movies and costumes. Kaito will be working with Haruhi for she'll mostly need stage make-up on resembling that of a fox."
"Kyoya I don't think you heard Alyssa. We're not getting changed in front of people we don't know," Morgan reiterated.
"As my brother has previously stated…" Shinju didn't get to finish.
"The fact of the matter is we are not comfortable with it," I interrupted. She scowled at me.
"Fine…amateurs they are," She mumbled. I wanted to say something but just bit my tongue. It really wasn't worth getting worked up over.
Kyoya, Kaito, and Shinju pulled the curtain shut leaving us alone once again although they were still just standing outside the curtain so it was a bit unnerving. We were not wrong for wanting privacy. I'm sure rich people can get dressed by themselves. They don't need people watching them. That's just weird.
I looked back at the dress trying to figure out how I wanted to get into it. There was zipper which I was thankful for because I wasn't sure how it would fit otherwise. Although I'm sure Kyoya knows all of our sizes down to a tea. In a way, he's like a professional stalker. I didn't want to think too much on it though because Kyoya was certainly a mystery, but he's one that's better left un-cracked.
I slipped into the dress easily enough, Morgan only having to help me zip up. I glanced at myself in the mirror, giving a quick twirl. It definitely was beautiful. Morgan's fit her personality and her love for forestry. It still amazes me how well the host club knows us. They're truly becoming our family.
"Well I'm dressed. I'll head to the other dressing room and have Kaito work on my make-up. Only a couple thousand yen to go," Haruhi joked which surprised me at first considering I didn't think she had it in her.
"Hey Haruhi, if you didn't have your debt, would you still come around?" Morgan inquired.
She stopped to look back at us. It sounded like a reasonable question to me but I figured already knew the answer.
"Of course I would." She left without another word.
"I didn't offend her did I?"
"No I don't think so. I don't think anyone has asked her before. It gave her a minute to consider who they are in her life," I assured her.
"She answered without much hesitation and with such assurance. I'm glad. Well we should probably go out and get these things put on." Morgan grabbed her wings and made a move to leave. I grabbed ahold of her arm.
"Hang on a sec. I need to tell you something," I told her.
"What?"
"When we were at the bonfire and we went on the walk in the woods, Hikaru had told me that when he first met Haruhi's school friend, he over-reacted just like he did with me. When I told Haruhi about our break she told me the same thing, but then told me she went on a date with him. It was his way of apologizing. I mean I don't want to blow my top here but I'm not gonna lie and say that the news didn't affect me."
Morgan stared at my face with wide eyes. "Wait, do you think he had feelings for Haruhi?"
"I don't know. Now I'm the one panicking. This isn't a big deal right? It was one date and Haruhi is our friend."
"Are you guys ready yet?" called out an impatient Shinju.
"Yea just a minute!" I shouted back then gave Morgan a pleading look.
"Okay don't panic. Just talk to Hikaru about it."
"But I don't want to pry! He already left that information out. Maybe it's best I just leave it alone. It's obvious she has feelings for Tamaki and vice versa."
"That's true…." Morgan went to say more but the curtain was drawn back. Shinju stood there with her hands placed on her hips.
"We'll talk later."
~_~_~_~_~ Morgan's POV~_~_~_~_~
Shinju roughly shoved me down into the seat. I swear she had an evil glint in her eyes. She must be still angry over the fact that Alyssa and I wouldn't exactly comply earlier.
"Now I'm going to need you to lean forward."
"Kyoya...," I had started with a hint of fear in my voice.
"Oh relax. I told you before. We're professionals."
I tried to block out the fact that she was probably still angry and could very likely make my wings look incredibly horrible. I looked over at Alyssa who looked at ease with the pointed latex being applied to her ears. I wish I could be just as at ease. Maybe talking would rid me of some of my nerves.
"Besides…you know…what you learned…anything new?" I inquired of Alyssa. She gave me a weird look like she had no idea what I was talking about before realization dawned on her face.
"Oh…no not really. Nothing I can think of anyway. You?"
"Well you know that picture."
"It really was a nice picture. Did you chew Kaoru out yet?"
"No. I planned on it when they arrived."
The doors to the third music room swung open. Hunny skipped in with his Usa-chan swinging idly while gripped in his hand. Hikaru and Kaoru mirrored each other's movements, their hands dug into their pants' pocket. Tamaki had a regal air about him per usual when he strutted in and then came Mori who looked as calm as ever, maybe more compared to the others' heightened emotions.
As soon as I saw Kaoru I went to stand but before I was pushed back down.
"You're not finished yet," exclaimed Shinju.
So I tried a different approach.
"Kaoru! Can you come here for a sec?"
Kaoru jumped behind his brother, knowing what was coming next.
"Actually, I think it would be a splendid idea if I stayed over here...where it's safe."
"Why would you even consider that posting that picture would be okay?!" I yelled.
"It was a wonderful photo! You should be thanking me!"
"Thanking yo – that was my private personal business, which you had no right to exploit!"
"Kyoya wanted some romance photos and since Hikaru and Alyssa aren't exactly together anymore –" Kaoru stopped himself realizing what he just said.
I watched as Hikaru's demeanor changed. His shoulders slumped and I looked over at Alyssa who looked uncomfortable with the new topic. The tension grew as no one spoke for fear of saying the wrong thing.
"I think Morgan's picture looked lovely," stated Hunny with childlike innocence before glancing up at Mori. "Don't you think?"
Mori simply nodded which made me blush so I tried to bury my face deep into the chair, causing my hair to create a barrier between me and everyone else.
"Well there's no time to waste!" exclaimed Tamaki. "Let us retire to the dressing rooms to prepare our costumes. The ladies will get quite a kick out of this fantasy world we'll be creating for them."
Everyone followed after Tamaki, leaving Alyssa, Haruhi, and I with the Osaka siblings.
"You okay?" I asked Alyssa. She seemed to be deep in thought.
"Hmm?...oh yea. I'm fine. No worries," she brushed off even though I knew she wasn't fine at all.
"So Haruhi…how was your day?"
"The usual…classes were interesting…well they're always interesting when you have the twins as classmates."
"I can imagine," I said.
"Alright you're done! Finite! Oh I did such a wonderful job," Shinju boosted. Man, did she ever have an ego. I got up to go look in the mirror. I was mesmerized by the way the light hit the glitter in a surreal glow and how they didn't just flop to one side like the ones you buy at Walmart stores.
"Wow…this is….wow."
"I know. I'm brilliant."
"Thank you so much Shinju!"
"Anything for the Ootori family," she said. I looked at her noticing how she said the Ootori's name. She said it with pride and respect. I had a feeling that such high esteem came from the fact that her brother and her were basically saved by them financially. Saved them from poverty. Maybe she wasn't such a bad person after all.
"Morgie! Those are so gorgeous!" Alyssa exclaimed.
"I know! Wish I could wear these all the time."
"Agreed! Look at my ears! Just call me Nuala of Bethmoora…No, no wait! Arwen of Rivendell!"
"Oh my lovely daughters are absolutely…I promised myself I wouldn't cry!"
We turned to see Tamaki and the rest of the host club garbed in their outfits for the day.
"We're not getting married Tamaki, you dork," I told him.
"The girls will be arriving any minute. We should get into position," Kyoya stated.
I swear he has a gift. As soon as he said that, the screams could be heard right outside the doors.
"They're a bit rambunctious today," Alyssa claimed
"Tamaki spread around the school that he would be sharing a big surprise at today's session," Kaoru told us. His pants were puffy and his chest was bare with a little fez atop his head.
"So genie, do I get three wishes?" Alyssa joked.
"I'm not a genie! I'm a Jinn!"
"What in the world is a Jinn?" I asked.
He stayed silent for a minute. "….It's a genie."
We laughed at him while the girls began filing in.
"Morgan, Alyssa! We're going to need you to get to work!" Kyoya yelled out to us, while trying to get the girls in an orderly fashion. There were about triple the usual customers. Whatever Tamaki wanted to tell everyone must have been really big. I grabbed a tray from the dessert table, making my first stop: Mori and Hunny's table.
"Hey Morgan! Do you have any strawberry today!?"
"Of course Hunny. We always have an abundance of strawberry just for you," I laughed handing him a piece.
"Yay!"
"Hunny…," Mori said warningly
"Oh, right! Thank you Morgan!"
"No problem Hunny." I turned my attention over to Mori. "Have you ever seen a crowd like this before?"
"Yes, but only once before. Tamaki has decided to sponsor a dance other than the Host Club sponsored one."
"Wait, you guys have a Host Club dance? When?"
"It was at the beginning of the year, before you and Alyssa came."
"But, I can't dance! I think it would be best if I just don't go."
"I'm sure you'll be fine. Besides it's required for all Host Club members. That includes you and Alyssa."
"You don't say…," I trailed off.
"Morgan, I know that look. As much meddling as the Host Club does, a lot of the time, I do not approve. I prefer to leave things to situate themselves. I love you, but Hikaru and Alyssa will figure things out on their own."
"I hate to see them like this though! They always look so down when no one else is looking. They try to catch glimpses of the other. This wouldn't have happened if Hikaru didn't get so jealous over a phone call."
"Agreed. Hikaru was always the type."
"What do you mean?"
"Morgan, I'd prefer not to gossip."
"I'm sorry, it's just…well Alyssa heard that Hikaru went on a date with Haruhi and she's worried – " Mori grabbed ahold of my hand, interrupting my soon-to-be-ramble.
"Everything will work itself out."
I nodded yet not completely convinced.
"I'm gonna finish my rounds," I told him while gently removing my hand from his.
I noticed Alyssa had already assisted Tamaki and Kyoya, conveniently leaving me with the twins' table. I didn't mind so much as I did in the beginning, but I knew that Alyssa's avoidance of the table was due to more than the brotherly love skit.
"I'm completely bound to you, my master," I heard Kaoru recite to Hikaru.
"My three wishes are precious to me, as are you Jinn," Hikaru said back while lifting Kaoru's chin up with his finger.
"Okay! That's enough of that!" I exclaimed while practically slamming the tray. I turned towards the girls. "What do you even see in this?"
A girl with cat-like buns perked up at the question and opened her mouth to answer when loud, obnoxious laughing interrupted her.
"HA HA HA HA HA"
'What in the world,' I thought to myself.
Suddenly, a spinning podium began to circle up from the ground. A girl dressed similarly to the host club stood on top holding onto a microphone, her hair half-way pinned back by a large, bright pink bow.
"Ah, the Hitachiin twins…so many merits to gain from such a taboo, so listen up shorty!"
'I'm actually pretty sure I'm taller than her,' I thought, keeping my opinions to myself.
"Hey! Who the hell are you to barge in here and –" Alyssa began.
"Gasp! Spending all this time with the Host Club and not one of them has mentioned me?"
"You hadn't been around in a while –" Kaoru began.
"So we assumed you had gone back to France," Hikaru finished.
"Of course not! I'm the Host Club's manager, Renge Houshakuji!"
"I'm sorry? I thought Kyoya was the manager…" Alyssa trailed off.
"As I was saying…guys with homosexual tendencies are a gold mine for young ladies such as ourselves and…"
"I'm gonna stop you right there. Guys with homosexual tendencies are not something I particularly find attractive, so…" Alyssa said.
"Then tell me, what did attract you, Alyssa Jackson, to Hikaru Hitachiin?" Renge questioned shoving the microphone in her face. I noticed Alyssa was turning red, although from anger or blushing, I'm not sure.
"That's really none of your business, but I can tell you, it definitely wasn't their twincest," Alyssa clarified.
"Twincest! Yes that's fantastic! Such a perfect word to describe such a taboo! An attraction that borderlines friendship and desire; where will it tilt?! Besides who hasn't fantasized about twins? To be loved unconditionally by two people, protected and needed to satisfy them both! It's enough to make me eat three bowls of rice! HA HA HA HA," As Renge finished her speech, the podium began to spin back downwards, disappearing into the ground.
"I don't think I'll ever understand how Japan gets down," I concluded.
"I don't think I'll ever understand this room. How did…? Where is she going to go? Is there a trap door?" Alyssa asked looking over at the Host Club.
"To be honest, we're not even sure," Hikaru admitted.
"She tends to just come and goes as she pleases," Kaoru included.
"Well after such an appearance like that, I don't know how I will ever be able to top it!" Tamaki exclaimed.
I heard the girls whispering to each other.
"Is this the surprise?"
"I'm so excited! Maybe we're getting a new host club member!"
"Oh that'd be brilliant. But what type could he be?"
"Maybe the shy type? We really don't have that type…"
"No I'd like more of the celebrity type. Like a musician. Someone who's dedicated to his music. It's his ultimate passion. Just imagine him playing guitar during the host club. Or singing!"
"Oh Mariko, you think of such great ideas!"
'I wonder how they'll react when they find out it's just a dance,' I thought.
"As you know, we usually have one of these per year, but I feel like we need to expand. We all deserve a break, so I, Tamaki Suoh, have planned to sponsor a dance, to take place in one week!"
Shrieks and screams erupted throughout the room. I don't know what else I was expecting, really. New gossip began to reach my ears.
"Oh a dance!"
"I wonder if they'll do the princess of the dance! What I wouldn't give to have Kyoya kiss my cheek!"
"How could you pick him? And besides, the prince of the Host Club always kisses the princess at the dance."
"Nah uh! Remember last time? Kanako got to kiss Haruhi."
'Haruhi? Really? She kissed a girl," I thought hearing these girls. 'Maybe there's more to the story then what I'm hearing.'
"I guess we'll have to go dress shopping," a voice said standing next to me. I turned and noticed Alyssa standing there.
"Yea, but I wouldn't even know where to go."
"I'm sure a quick internet search could get us exactly what we need at a reasonable price," Alyssa suggested.
"Eh…maybe I'll just wear something in my closet," I told her.
"Oh come on! Dress shopping is the best part of going to a dance!"
"Still, I wouldn't mind wearing that dress from homecoming last year," I explained.
"No! We need to be styling!"
"And my dress wasn't stylin'?" I laughed.
"That's not what I meant," Alyssa retorted.
"Alright, we'll go dress shopping."
"I hate to interrupt but you two know how to dance, right?" Kyoya asked.
Oh, boy.
So, what did you think?! I enjoyed it. Please review! I can only get better with help!
