Afterword + Author's Note

I originally posted Forever and Eternity back in September 2009, as a very young writer who was bittersweetly experiencing the end of my one true fandom - although, at the time, I had no idea I needn't be worried about the end, because clearly, JKR was only getting started with her wonderful, wide Wizarding World.

Unusually for me, I adore every part of my original posting of this story and found no need to edit or delete much of anything.

The only changes I made were to grammar/editing and a retcon of the middle names I had written for James and Lily.

Back in 2009, we didn't have any information on the middle names of James or Lily, but in the decade since, Lily Potter I has been given the middle intial of "J". Therefore, I went back and edited the original posting to reflect that. As of 2019 and the updated edition, Lily Potter's middle name is now Jessamine instead of my fanon-chosen Clarice and James was also given a recton update. Instead of Evangelos, which was an allusion to a wild headcanon I had back in the original days of Potterdom, I have changed his middle name to something more in line with canon - or, at least pseudo canon. James now has the middle name Charlus, which is an allusion to the wizard named Charlus Potter on the Black Family Tree published in 2006 - although, now, we know his father to be Fleamont Potter, instead of Charlus Potter, whom JKR has never given an explanation as to where that particular wizard belongs in the Potter family tree.

Here in 2019, a decade after my first brief attempt to write fanfic, I am adding this Epilogue - both because I think it is a sweet homage to my maiden voyage into fanfic, but also because I intend on connecting Forever and Eternity with a new James/Lily project I have in the works.

Thank you for all the hits and follows for this story, as well as all those who've translated this or added it to a community - you've no idea how much it means to me!
