Just so that you guys won't get confused this happens Post-Sea of Monsters, right after the last page in The Lightning Thief! I hope you enjoy!

I sat there, staring gloomily at the waves rushing upon the sand.

I felt... oblivious.

I mean, with all these monsters now after me, I couldn't help but feel... relaxed. Calm. Only at the beach.

I buried my bare feet deeper into the sand and leaned back so that my palms slapped against the wet sand. The sun was already beginning to set, which means it would be dinner time soon.

I made up my mind on the spot. I wouldn't go. This moment was my chance to just sit down and relax.

Probably the only chance I would get to relax.

"Uh, Percy?"

I look around and hug my knees tighter.

"Hey, Annabeth."

Oh my gods, I can't tell you just how pretty she looked.

This was just a normal dinner at Camp Halfblood, but she's combed her hair and let it drop down on her back. It swayed slightly in the wind. She wasn't wearing her Yankees cap anymore (you know, the one that makes her turn invisible?) but instead replaced it with a simple, silver headband, that went great clashing with her blonde hair.

Sorry, I can't tell you about what she was wearing, I was way too busy focused on her upper features.

"Can I sit down?" Annabeth asked.

"Yeah," I said, still trying to get over the mosh pit that was now my stomach.

She didn't even question why I wasn't at dinner. She knew me that way.

I returned my gaze back to the sea. We sat in silence, listening to the rushing of the waves.

WOOOOOOSHHHHHHH.

After about twenty minutes of just watching the waves, she stood up.

"Leaving?" I asked, not even looking up at her.

"Yes. But you're coming with me, Seaweed Brain," she said, laughing and taking my wrist.

No... I didn't want to go to dinner. I wanted to stay here and relax my thoughts, clear my mind, not even think about anything at all.

But with Annabeth, it was oblivion anyway.
